The Discoverer IX is an achievement that requires the player to excavate 1,000 damaged artefacts. Extra artefacts found using a waterfiend or the fortune perk will not count towards this achievement. One of the fastest ways to obtain artefacts is to excavate the venator remains at the Kharid-et - Exterior excavation site.
