Template talk:Infobox City

This talk page is for discussing the Template:Infobox City page.

Hey, is this really needed? All city or area articles in this wiki have already a template of their navigation. King Black Dragon.png This dude is evil King Black Dragon.png like hellKorak 13:25, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree. Pages souldn't be just an infobox. If a city has a ruler/bank/ect., it should say it on the page. Sysop crown.svgTes FanSysop crown.svg 13:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

This passed my mind too when I created it. But I think it's needed because it's for quick information. People just have to refer to the top of the page to already know what the city contains. So I think it would go good. And also some city articles didn't contain the information that's included on the template. And about the navigation thing, I think it should be included in the infobox (like wikipedia:Bulleen, Victoria's infobox) or else things get messy. Anyway I'm a newcomer to this wiki so do what you want. Cheers :), Chicken7 >talk 10:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Map added?[edit source]

Hi! I think we should add the map back to it. I think it looks better and neater, and for players who need to look at the map quickly can just click on it and there. Again, I don't really care what happens though. What does everyone else think? Chicken7 >talk 08:01, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Seeing as a lot of the people on this wiki are in America or England, they would not see this message in the recent changes. So I'll add it anyway. Chicken7 >talk 10:52, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
I think the maps are way too big. They are squishing the rest of the article. oh, Chicken7 >talk 03:21, 13 January 2008 (UTC) (chicken7)
Is there another template for cities such as Arposandra where no map exists? If not I'll attempt to edit this template to accommodate a map=no type entry. -~kytti khat 13:24, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Terrorist references[edit source]

The terrorist references in this template are not funny. They need to be replaced with a more suitable example. 66.57.118.220 22:22, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

New Item[edit source]

Shouldn't it be said how many summoning obelisks there are? I mean, they are basically altars for summoning. ContributionsBunnies1230Talk 21:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

It's been nearly 3 months since you asked this, no one said "no," which must mean "yes." Dsctatom 11:46, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

New Locations for Fishermen[edit source]

Didn't you notice this link? (See the 'in other news...' section)

Fishermen can now be found also at Piscatoris, Shilo Village and Barbarian Village!

Can anyone add this info o.O?

P.S. I don't wanna edit the page myself as I'm not good in grammar :S

Prifddinas: Release & Access to have a different release date and update[edit source]

Could there also be an accessible since parameter? This would be handy for Prifddinas and I guess Menaphos in the future. Something like:

release = <date of release>
update = <update of release>
release2 <OR> accessible = <date of release to be accessible> *NEW*
update2 = <update of release to be accessible> *NEW*

I'm guessing you want to differentiate between when the area was released as a placeholder, e.g. Prifddinas' walls, and when the area actually became a city. I don;t really think it's necessary and it's potentially confusing too. cqm 10:49, 5 Nov 2014 (UTC) (UTC)
Yes, I want to differentiate between those two states. I do think it's necessary because the template at Prifddinas looks like a mess with two release dates and only ONE update... It's not really confusing in the example above, the current one just doesnot fit the new situation. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 10:55, November 5, 2014 (UTC)

Example:
{{#if:{{{release2|}}}|! width="1%" nowrap="nowrap" {{!}} Accessible since {{!}} {{#if:{{{release2|}}}|{{{release2}}} {{#ifeq:{{{release2}}}|RuneScape Classic||{{#if:{{{update2|}}}|([[Update:{{{update2}}}|Update]])|(Update unknown) <small>[{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|action=edit}} edit]</small><includeonly>{{Mainonly|[[Category:Needs update added]]}}</includeonly>}}}}|Unknown <small>[{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|action=edit}} edit]</small>}} {{!}}-}}

This example could be added right after the original release part of the infobox and will only appear if release2 is defined. It couldn't hurt when only visible if needed, right? Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 11:14, November 5, 2014 (UTC)

Could anyone react on this subject? Cqm? Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 09:21, November 10, 2014 (UTC)
