Template:PlainCiteText
Usage
This template exactly like Template:CiteText, with two exceptions. First, it is not a reference template in the sense that it does not create footnote-styled references. Instead, it creates the same text that {{CiteText}}
would as a non-reference. This is desirable if a certain text-quote is the source of the majority of an article, as having the same reference at the end of every sentence. Second, it does not have the "name" parameter, as this only applies to footnote-style references.
{{PlainCiteText |text= |author= |quote= |page= |loc= |notes= }}
text
The name of the text being cited. "Text" in this context relates to a piece of in-game text such as a book or scripture.
author
The author of the text, if applicable.
quote
What the text says that is being cited, quoted verbatim. Try to keep this short but relevant.
page
The book page on which the text appears, if applicable.
loc
Optional. The name of the Quest, Holiday event, or other piece of game content during or after which the text says the quote being cited, if applicable. Note that this is not the location that the text can be found.
Standard parameters
The following parameters are standard across all citation templates.
notes
Optional. This parameter allows you to add text beginning one space after the end of the citation. Having no formatting (meaning you will have to format it yourself), this area can be used for anything you require.
name
Optional. If you want to use this reference more than once, you must name it the first time you use it, then whenever you want to use it again, add {{NamedRef|name}}
wherever you want it to re-appear.
group
Optional. This can be used to put the reference into a specific group, to separate it from other types of reference. See here for more on reference groups.
