Template documentation
This documentation is transcluded from Template:Coins/doc. [edit] [history] [purge]
Template:Coins invokes function coins in Module:Currency using Lua.

The Coins template shows a number of coins with a preview image. As the icon interferes with line-height, it should only be used in wikitables – for a template that colours text without an icon, see {{NoCoins}}. The number is formatted with a comma (if the value is greater than 1,000), and with the following colours:

  • Blue - positive numbers
  • Green - if the number is zero
  • Red - negative numbers

Usage

{{Coins|number of coins}}

The number of coins may contain commas, decimal points or both. The template can also accept expressions, if the input is not a number then the input will first be passed trough the #expr parserfunction

Examples

The following are some examples:

{{Coins|245.50}} produces the following result: 245.5

{{Coins|0}} produces the following result: 0

{{Coins|-3000}} produces the following result: −3,000

{{Coins|250 * 1.2222 round 0}} produces the following result: 306
