This article is about the teleport spell. For the teleport tablet, see Teleport to house
House Teleport is a teleportation spell which requires level 40 Magic and the standard spellbook to cast. It requires 1 air rune, 1 earth rune and 1 law rune to cast, granting 30 experience per cast. It teleports the caster either inside their player-owned house or next to the house portal in the city where their current house is, depending on their settings (this can be changed at Settings -> Gameplay -> Skills & Experience -> Construction -> Teleport arrival location).
The spell is useful as an emergency countermeasure against being killed by poison, as deaths inside a player-owned house will respawn a player outside the house portal with all their items intact and their stats restored to base levels.
A teleport tablet costs 3,389.
This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included - see here for how to help out!
- When casting the teleport to house spell (not using a tablet), the animation seems a lot faster than usual. It is unknown if this is a glitch. The player arrives at the same time, though. The animation is just faster (at least 2x). This may be to cut down on the time of entering the house, as it needs to load.
- At one time there was a bug in which Teleport to House would consume two dust runes if the caster had more than one dust rune in their inventory. This glitch has been fixed.
- The Teleport to House tablet is very often used in the Wilderness because of its ability to prevent death when teleported. For example, sometimes when you teleport to Lumbridge you may die there, but using the teleport to house when you teleport you will not die; you will simply just be outside of your POH.
- As of the troll warzone update, teleporting to a house in Taverley will bring you too far south, so that the portal is off the minimap. However, Teleport to House tablets teleport to directly in front of the house portal. This has been fixed.
