The Taverley massacre was a battle fought during the War of 164, where the tribal goblins of northern Asgarnia (excluding the Garagorshuun and Thorobshuun) attacked Taverley.
The druids, warned of the impending invasion by the falcon of the druid Kaqemeex, mostly fled to the hills and woodlands north of Taverley. Several hundred remained behind solely to sate the bloodthirst of the goblins; all died in the process. The goblins then burned a large amount of Taverley to the ground before fleeing south-east, where they united with the forces of the Kinshra Lord Sulla to engage in the Siege of Falador.
The battle was mentioned in the novel Betrayal at Falador.
