Starting[edit source]

Is it possible to start the quest using stat boosters? Billy Bomb7 14:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Haha,Try it yourself.=P Powers38 14:26, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Even though the quest journal lists levels needed to complete the quest, you can't even start it. ("Well, there is a 'project' I've been asked to look into, but I'm afraid you don't have the requirements for it. I need someone a tad more experienced for this, I fear.") --Mussepossu 15:43, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah i heard you can but those level requirements WILL be used in the quest as far as i know. so i dont see a point. Wizard robe top (t).pngKrazyballatalk! Law rune.png 19:39, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
According to Tipit, you can use stat boosters, I'm going to see if I can confirm this. Billy Bomb7 22:58, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
I can confirm that you CAN use boosters to start the quest. And Krazy, those levels, strangely, are not used in the quest. I drank brown stew to boost my Herblore and Farming, and I haven't drinken it since (yes, I'm working on the quest right now).  Tien  17:08, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
I managed to complete the quest with only 64 farming and herblore, so yes, you can use stat boosters to get your stats up and carry on doing the quest from then on.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 18:39, 18 March 2009 (UTC).
I wasn't even able to start it with a Mature Greenman's Ale+Garden Pie at 63 Herblore+Farming. Maybe they fixed it to not be boostable? Toa Neya (talk) 03:15, May 23, 2016 (UTC)
Alright. I tried it again at 64 Farming and 65 Herblore with a Pork Pie boost and got it started this time; not sure what's going on there. Toa Neya (talk) 05:12, May 23, 2016 (UTC)

Dragon Platebody & Dragon Claws[edit source]

The items are for sale in Grand Exchange now. Are they from the quest and so yes; do u need to complete the quest to wear them? (like dscim and monkey madness)  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 14:41, 26 November 2008 (UTC).

I expect the the lump of dragon metal in the reward is used at the dragon kiln in the barbarian cavern.. bigbasher4  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 22:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC).

yeah you get a random piece of the ruined dragon armour (theres 3 of them). if you have all 3 and 99 smithing you can make it into a dragon plate if you have that 1m hammer and the dragonkin key to access the mith door. 270 Quest Points[edit source]

Oi... it will be hard to get any details for this quest. For I know, only Buzz 9 1990 and Azliq7 have a quest cape. I'm sorry, I can't help on this quest.-- Miasmic Blitz icon.png Hapi007 Talk! Sign! . 14:51, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I have a quest cape myself, working on 65 herblore, 75 mage and bork atm. Billy Bomb7 15:43, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Actually, many people on the Wiki have a quest cape, including me. Once I get home from school (half-day today), I'm going to work on Herblore and Farming, and hopefully I will provide some info. on the quest when I finally get to start it.  Tien  15:53, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I have a Quest Cape too and meet all the requirements, but I'm stuck at work for the time being. Then I got a huge 3 hour travel to look forward to afterward. If all goes smoothly though, I may be able to get started on the quest later tonight.Ixindor 17:20, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I need one more Farming level til I have all the stats required. But then, I need to beat 4 more quests. I am seriously cheesed-off now. -_- WWTDD? 17:23, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

i have quest cape also Skull.png Phamtom21 Skull.png 17:22, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I have every requirement except herblore and I'm short on cash so it's impossible for me to do this quest currently.--Kodeman76 17:51, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

you can use assist system for herblore Skull.png Phamtom21 Skull.png 19:04, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure you can't use the assist system to make any quest items: You can only use it to make items that someone could have traded you anyway --Urth 19:38, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I believe you need the levels to start the quest. You can level herblore profitably by making barbarian energy mixes, superenergy mixes, cleaning some herbs and reselling, etc. However, you can probably just do something to make the money then make potions, and do the whole thing faster.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 19:35, 26 November 2008 (UTC).

Sorry i wont be able to do the quest for at least a month im not even close to getting the reqs but i can create and start pages (for items/enemies) from the quest with whatever i know about the (item etc) Twigs the legendary slayer 01:04, 27 November 2008 (UTC)Twigs the legendary slayer Also, when the quest's rewards are shown on the quest website on Runescape there may be something we missed Twigs the legendary slayer 01:07, 27 November 2008 (UTC)twigs the legendary slayer

You cannot use Req Assist for the Herblore requirement. As you are alone in the temple during the Herblore segment, no one will be able to help you. It may be possible to use temporary boosts, however. Yore Talk 16:57, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

the skill it is used on must be over 65 07:18, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

The reward is most likely faked. None of the other quest rewards have periods after each reward. The 5000 coins seems a bit incongruous as well. -- 20:16, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

which 65+ skills?[edit source]

Can you put all 400k on the same skill? And what are the choices of skills, any 65+ or only certain skills like some quest rewards? I'm almost done but waiting to finish until I get runecrafting up to 65. I'm hoping to use all 400k on RC. Mamabear47 09:51, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Sal's Runescape has answers to all of these - 100,000 experience in four skills of your choice over level 65. All 400,000 experience can be used on the same skill and you can wait until later to obtain the experience if you wish to get a certain stat to level 65 that is too low. Thanks Sal! Elite Black Armor[edit source]

i would like to know if the elite black armor is acquired during the quest... to anyone who has finished the quest can you please tell me? in the main runescape forums people say it is but so far the guide doesnt even mention it...God Of War 21:56, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

think the guide is no where near complete yet, my guess is less than 40-50% complete.... bigbasher4  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 22:07, 26 November 2008 (UTC).

from what i have seen the new armours (other then dragon) you do get them during the quest. --Saradomin sword.png Mr.twee 00:56, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

You do indeed obtain elite black armor during the quest. -zorkish orc  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 12:39, 27 November 2008 (UTC).

Do you need a set of it to enter the chamber with dagon'hai robes and all other stuff? Or can you complete it without them, just they are aggresive?Kiel66 19:02, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

1st set is obtained after killing 3 ELITE black knight (across the bridge is easier, only 1 attack at a time) you will gain another later, but you must use it on a guy... get dagon'hai from there as well, at the end you will have a set of each, no need to buy them, you got for free. 11:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Inserting a narrative[edit source]

I would heartily encourage those of you that are doing or have done the quest (which is quite a select few) to edit the article not only with the steps to complete the quest, but to also write about the events as they pertain to the larger story and legend that is RuneScape since based on what I've seen, this really seems to be an epic tying-in and advancing many different storylines.--Diberville 02:33, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Excellent note. The guide was quite bare bones but now I'm seeing people flesh it out, but still not the dialogs where we're learning all sorts of fascinating backstory tidbits. I'll try to add more as I encounter it. Mamabear47 01:04, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree, I'd like to hear about the storyline of the quest because I don't quite understand it. I'd like to see the bigger picture. I hope anyone could supply a summary of some kind. Thank you --{{SUBST:Gn0om}} 12:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Longest? Epic luls.[edit source]

How can it be the longest when it was completed within 7 hours? RFD took longer than that. Heck, MEP2 took longer than that! JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 11:41, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

The fights were not super hard either. The two demons get owned due to your quest boosts (hit 144 on one of them :P) and the balance elemental goes down pretty easily if you watch your prayers. -zorkish orc  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 12:39, 27 November 2008 (UTC).

All these things are partially true, but it it is confessable that the puzzles could get confusing. They were pretty much easy, but hey, it still took time. If I would have done Mourning's Ends Part II now, I would've done it in the same time. Heck, they just forgot to include the BS-like wallclimbs in this quest... Also: RFD can be done within less than 7 hours. That, and the quest indeed requires a hell lot. It deserves it's rank of GrandMaster, if you ask me. If not only for the QuestPoints requirement and the Questreward...:$ ArnoudX 21:43, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Dramen Staff[edit source]

Could you use a Lunar staff instead, or does it have to be Dramen?  Tien  15:16, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

I personally do not recall any use of a Dramen or Lunar staff, I'm assuming this is to make traveling much easier. Therefore, I suppose either works. At this point, everyone would have a Lunar Staff anyways. Yore Talk 17:01, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Yup, both can be used. It's just a matter of transportation, though. It's not really needed during the quest, I myself didn't use it at all during the quest... ArnoudX 21:40, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Picture Fixes[edit source]

The pictures at the bottom of this section need to be fixed, they're scattered around that part of the page. I couldn't do it. Billy Bomb7 16:51, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Balance Elemental[edit source]

Anyone know if the elemental's fire bow attack is a Ranged or Magic based attack? I thought it would be Ranged, but his other attack which is a flying rock of sorts doesn't seem to be blocked out by Protect from Magic.  Tien  17:13, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

I was a bit surprised by this. I was expecting the other way around. The bow does seem to be ranged and the flying rocks were magic (I was getting splashed by them). If you were still wondering, the big club is melee :) 07:22, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Correct...Bow=Range, club = Melee, Blue fire balls = Magic Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 11:56, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Options[edit source]

There are quite a few different options for travel and armour/weapons. How do we decide which ones to list? Right now the guide is using teleports, but fairy rings could be substituted for travel. Ranged armour is suggested at the start, but since the assasins range you, and are low level, it could be just about anything. Just wondering. Mamabear47 01:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

1st Combat (Taverley) against two assasins, no need of any armour, just range prayer.
2nd combat (Mc Grubor wood) against three guys, no need of any armour, just melee prayer
3th combat (Moravio's basement) against many soldier, no need of any armour, just melee and run to basement.
4th combat (Black knigth basement) against many soldiers, d'hide is ok and protect from magic.
5th combat (wild 38) against Lucien, nothing needed
6th combat (Guthix cave) Against need, protect from adapted prayer...Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 12:06, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Difficulty[edit source]

I think that the difficulty level should be lowered...There is no real difficulty in this quest...Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 12:06, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Indeed.. But I spose you could labe the 'difficult' parts (And I use that term lightly) as getting into Movario's base.. Or killing the Balance Elemental..

But yeah. Easy as pie imo. Mattrius 19:06, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

The only difficult parts as you listed are:
  1. A puzzle (entering the base), which was no more difficult than prior quest puzzles,
  2. Killing the Balance Elemental, which was simply a matter of boss level combat strategies, and again no more difficult than prior high level bosses
So yes, I'd have to agree. Personally, i was hoping for a multi-part quest like RFD, however it is very obvious that there will be more to this quest, hopefully it won't just be a once a year thing, monthly GM quests continuing this storyline might be good, but i'd still like to see some other stuff, you know like a new achievement diary, or regular quests, idk, we'll have to see what Jagex will offer up in the future. ~kytti khat 22:32, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Everybody doing the quest now has massive levels already, is obviously good at quests since we have already done every quest, etc... It's not nearly as challenging to us as it will be for the people who have to crunch to level up and finish quests to meet the starting requirements. If I had bare minimums I think it would be more challenging and time consuming.

I also think shooting stars and penguins have changed my view of traveling around runescape. Moving around to 10 different areas in a few minutes is trivial now that I've done it weekly for months. I could get around pretty well before (farming circuits), but hunting penguins has honed my fast travel skills. Mamabear47 10:01, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

It's not "easy as pie" if you don't use a guide, like i didn't. Infact, it's earnt its title in my books, because without using a guide it's very difficult indeed.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 23:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC).

But if you're looking at the difficulty at the top of this article, chances are you're going to use this walkthrough. Palwow2350 23:07, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Number of Quests required to complete it[edit source]

I wonder how many quests have to be completed to start this quest if new quests will be added? --Flajuram 12:23, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Jagex said they listed the mandatory quests since the 270 limit will increase as more quests are added. So, it looks like more will be added that would count towards the 270, but among those there's a required group. Nobody will ever be able to miss the fun of Mournings End II. :-( Mamabear47 09:55, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Enough to have 270QP and everything required... Sigh, just think before you post, just for once. 15:14, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Flajuram was asking about number of quests, not number of quest points. Alright... 270 QP is needed for the WGS quest. Not counting the WGS quest, you can get 270 QP. You'll need to have completed every quest (Other than WGS, and at least to this date) to start it. Since WGS is the 147th quest, you'll have to (to this date) complete 146 quests. Wow. I better start questing a little more! Prince Joob 17:09, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

82 strength as While Guthix Sleeps[edit source]

The image of someone getting 82 strength that turns out to be a requirement is maybe true. The requirement is to enter the Warrior's Guild. If he was only 28 attack, this would be right. But it's not likely someone with 28 attack has 82 strength. More info on this?

JNKillerX 19:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

I believe it's 130 levels in Attack and Strength combined to enter the Warriors Guild. Which puts his/her Attack level at 48, which sounds reasonable for a kind of pure. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Quest map icon.pngBilly Bomb7Stories!Locked diary.png 00:08, 11 December 2008 (UTC) That, or you can have 99 in either attack or stregnth and you will be let in. This is so stregnth pures with an attack at 1 can buy their skillcape. --Dragon scimitar old.pngMjs961Guthix's Book of Balance.png 00:10, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok, so it was possible not a glitch, it was just right, it was a pure with 48 attack and 82 strength so he could enter the guild that's a requirement. Sorry for my miscalculation. JNKillerX 18:44, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

I got that message at 61 Attack. Yes, that allowed me to go into the warriors' guild, so that is why. I hope I cleared some things up. Dragon scimitar old.pngMjs961Guthix's Book of Balance.png 17:56, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I got that message at 78 attack, when i got 82 strength. Perhaps it is a requirement. ~THEDRAGON476  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 23:23, 22 December 2008 (UTC).

I just got the message at 70 attack/74 strength (when I hit 74 strength). I don't see this as either a requirement for entering the Warrior's Guild or something explicitly as a part of this quest... other than you have to be high level combat. But I don't see what is so special here. --Robert Horning 19:24, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I got the message when I got 75 strength. And again at 76. And 77. And 78. Apparently, on top of needing 75 strength for WGS, you also need 76. And when you get 78, oh cool, you got another requirement for WGS!--Whyareall 00:24, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Looting Movario's Base[edit source]

The Rewards section of the quest walkthrough states that Movario's base can be looted every week. Has anyone actually done this? I have never seen the base be restocked. There are several posts on the RS forums to this same effect. Several of those posts even mention this wiki as the source of the statement that it can be looted weekly. However, I can find no mention of weekly rewards on any other site, including the Runescape site.

If you have successfully looted Movario's base more than once, please leave some feedback to that effect. Please let me know what needs to be done. Perhaps completely clean out the base then wait a week from then? If no one can tell us how to do it, then the statement in the quest walkthrough needs to be removed.

Whiznatery 18:57, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

As noted in the discussion for Movario's base, this information was confirmed to be in error and was removed.

77 Strength[edit source]

When you get 77 strength, it says that 77 strength is one of the requirements for While Guthix sleeps. This may be a glitch.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 00:41, 17 December 2008 (UTC). I also already had 75 attack, so i had access to the warrior's guild.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 01:18, 17 December 2008 (UTC).

It basically reports at every strength and attack level, since every strength and attack level CAN form the requirement for the Warrior's Guild. Jagex will have to fix it, but I'm not sure it is possible to do such a simple thing with the current gaming engine. I guess it's possible, and about to be fixed soon. ArnoudX 00:24, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Mournings end part 2 requirement?[edit source]

Is there an ACTUAL reason for the quest to have mournings end part 2 as a requirement, or is it simply a useless requirement to start the quest, just like the quest point requirement?Pkthis 22:47, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Not for the time being, but I am fairly sure that the quest after While Guthix Sleeps will teach us why Mourning's Ends Part II was considered a requirement. It would be odd that Lucien had something to do with the Temple of Light in this quest, while you haven't even known something about it then, while it is mentioned in the following. ArnoudX 23:06, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

It may be because it is one of the hardest of RuneScape's quests and it is a means of proving yourself tough enough to start WGS. You could also argue that Recipe for Disaster was added for the same reason, as this doesn't connect to the quest in any way either.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 23:37, 7 August 2009 (UTC).

Boosting Stats?[edit source]

As someone who is training for this quest, I was wondering if you could use boosted stats for the quest, since sometimes you can and sometimes you can't, I don't want to get my mage up these last 2 levels...and herblore up 17...--Armadyl Helm‎Long Live ArmadylArmadyl Helm‎ 23:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

No you cant use stat boosting beers, pies or potions. When you try to start the quest without having the level requirements the man in the legends guild says you arent ready yet. --Gold ore.png Mercifull UK serv.svg (Talk) 12:32, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Unknown skill Requirement/Warriors' Guild[edit source]

The requirements that were bugged were fixed (continual getting of WGS req. each time you leveled or the "unannounced" skills - i.e. 77 Strength). The levels were confirmed with: "Players will only get the 'This is a requirement for While Guthix Sleeps' message once when they gain a level in attack or strength equal to the Warriors’ Guild requirements." from - Patch Notes - Archive - Mod Luke. Please fix the Trivia section. Thank-you. Ryan PM 23:57, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Why is this guide considered "uncompleted"?[edit source]

In the quest list, WGS has the 3/4, purple sign next too it, meaning lacks details. -_- how!? It has a full guide, requirments, rewards, lotsa pictures, and trivia. I don't see what the problem is. Could someone answer this for me ? dirizz 05:23, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I do not see how it matters. My understanding is you cannot bring a familiar down there to start with, but why would Jagex put it into the game if it could only be used by people for a few short minutes? Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 09:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

cleary u can bring familiars there, seeing as nearly everybody killing tds has 1. i also know it is possible during the battle. i think its interesting, and that it needs to be investigated further.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 13:37, 21 November 2009 (UTC).

New Characters[edit source]

It says "The Shady Strangers will remain wandering around Draynor Village." but they are no new characters. I did not start the quest and already see them. Stormpride 21:12, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Fixed. Axearmour1 16:03, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Too many Images[edit source]

This artical is quite bogged down by there being far to many images. long pages like this do not need such a thing, so can we move some of the images to a new artical "While Guthix Sleeps/images"? Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 12:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I took a look over the article and found these images to be completely unnecessary:
I make no assertions as to their value in other parts of the wiki, but they don't need to be in this article. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 21:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

High maxs with magic?[edit source]

Since the update which made every level a temporary boost increases, your damage is increased by 3%. Wouldn't that mean you could get 468% ((255-99)3) more damage? Maybe even more with the lowest magic possible to get there. Would anyone who got there try it? It could be an interesting note or something to put on magic page.--Moneypony 01:26, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

I calculate at 75 mage hitting 192 with fire surge and boosting staff. Mage24365 00:13, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

Undead Heroes[edit source]

Could the Undead Heroes Lucien summons be player killers? Mage24365 23:39, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

I would say no, as they look remarkably similar to the barrows brothers. Also, are player killers really "heroes"? Vlastne 20:14, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

Auto start Music ?[edit source]

I'm just wondering why there is a music file set to automatically play. Surely it would be better if we had the choice to listen to the clip or not ? Although it may seem "neat" or cool, we have to remember that not everyone is on a broadband connection and that our main priority is giving information to as many people as possible. Requirements[edit source]

In which parts do I need these requirements, so I know when to bring the stat boosts? --AttackPenko TCE 12:34, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Only when starting the quest at Radimus. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 12:59, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. --AttackPenko TCE 15:35, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

can you complete the quest with assistance of 65+ herb/farm players?

Rs fever96 19:46, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

No quests or achievement diaries can use the assist system to be completed. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 19:48, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Clean up and re-nomination[edit source]

Well I have spent a good hour or so cleaning up this article and making it more user-friendly to read... Here are the changes.

- Spaced out the paragraphs. There were a lot of 'text walls' that made it unbearable to read. I'd also recommend someone going over this and maybe removing some unneeded statements as some paragraphs are just huge.

- Removed old and outdated information like poisoning the BA. I'm pretty sure bug abuse isn't allowed on Wiki and this bug no longer works.

- Removed some unncessary images. As someone stated up there, there are WAY too many images that just have no real purpose. I've removed images like the electric door, the broav gif animations (they lag and are not 56k friendly), and some other dead images.

- Fixed some broken code with ge prices and rewards.

- Cleaned up the boss battle, and split them into more sections instead of having one huge section. Removed some images from here and spaced the images out more so they are in line with their actual step, I've also added in an inventory/equipment picture for the boss battle.

- Removed some trivia that is unneeded. We're trying to clean this place up so I removed all the old trivia that has no purpose, and kept the real quality trivia information. This is what makes wiki!

A lot of clean up is needed imo (such as image reformatting), perhaps new pages for some sections, and a 56kb friendly version. I think this can be renominated again, what do you guys think?

Good walk through, and props to my terrorbird[edit source]

I swear that terrorbird would have taken the elemental by itself, and had a good go at the demons too!

What would be a nice add (possibly on a dialogue sub-page) is the chat boxes from the elemental, they flashed away before I could read most of them.

Recommed teles for quest, small add.[edit source]

Now as you can teleport to Tavarley portal with house tab, even you have house in Rimmington or wherever else.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Olzh (talk) on 00:35, 10 July 2010 (UTC).

Ring Of Charos[edit source]

I read somewhere within the Forums that Ring Of Charos can be used when conversing with the Balance Element for a different outcome.... Does anyone know if this is true / want to test this? 20:00, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

The Layout[edit source]

Who ever edited it did a fantasic job! It's so clear and easy to use (that's why i'm using it right now!) MEEP 17:54, September 19, 2010 (UTC)MEEP

RFD Req[edit source]

What subquests do I need to complete to start WGS? Am I right in thinking it's all of them? 22:14, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Considering this is a Grandmaster quest, you probably have to finish the entire quest. --Andorin (Talk) (Contribs) 22:16, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Magic stat draining attack[edit source]

From what I can recall, this attack can be completely avoided if protect from magic is used. Thus, using protect from magic throughout the entire fight is a feasible option. I think I did the quest this way, and it eliminated the need for restore potions. This should be added, if it is still the case. Dtm142 19:46, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Most touching[edit source]

I have to say, out of all the quests I've done (which is most of them), this one was the most touching. I felt sad when the NPCs that I'd come to know died, and I felt amazed when the Stone appeared. May possibly be my favorite quest yet. --Law rune.png Mac5130 Fire rune.png 06:30, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

I can agree, I did this back in 2008 when it was released and it was absolutely the best quest I've ever done to date. To me it wasn't hard, just long and gave a rich, rich back story, a lot of history and an amazing cliff hanger. Ofgs3 01:47, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Factual correction - Imprisonment?[edit source]

To state matter of factly that the dragonkin "ARE" imprisoned is a bit presumptious. There are an almost endless amount of possibilities, eg: 1. they are in the service of the vampires, 2. They were captured and imprisoned, 3. They retreated to their own devices after suffering losses, etc etc.

Don't get to the point where you start filling these posts with your opinion, just state the facts.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 07:24, 10 May 2011 (UTC).

Removed Missing Information Header[edit source]

I just followed this guide from start to finish, and all the information seemed to be present, so i removed the banner, and also added a few hints, pictures, and suggestions  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 0087adam (talk) on 10:46, 6 October 2011 (UTC).

Stat section[edit source]

The stat section is out of date again since the skill icons have been updated and there was some patch recently saying that Summoning is not boosted with the Stone of Jas.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spyrro (talk) on 22:51, 6 March 2012 (UTC).

Cutscene bloom[edit source]

In the cutscene where Lucien kills various heroes, if you have bloom on, the entire screen goes white and you can only see the chatbox and occasional hp bars, issue  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 12:26, 12 June 2012 (UTC).

Transcipt[edit source]

Can someone please write a transcript of the quest because a lot of us can't be bothered to do all the quests/get the requirements. Also, what ever happened to the gallery of the big fight with Lucien and the Slayer dudes.

Ratchetman47 (talk) 22:32, October 2, 2012 (UTC)

The World Wakes[edit source]

This quest deals with events and people that are closely connected to Guthix, so I'm curious to see if and how the dialog changes as a result of his death. If anyone happens to do this quest after completing The World Wakes, throw some of the changes you noticed in the appropriate sections   Fbdd XIII (talk) 15:33, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

TWW is the start of the Sixth Age, WGS is set in the 5th age. Nothing will change, you will simply get the message that this quest is an event that happened in the past, as you start the quest. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 15:42, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

Snapdragon Seed[edit source]

Doing this quest and Thaerisk only charged me 100gp for the snapdragon seed while G.E. price is 283. I did have a ring of charos (a) equipped, perhaps this is the reason? 2001:268:C0CD:526:7DB1:2D8D:3429:7D51 07:51, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
