Talk:Weapon Special attack
We have this wonderfully complete page with information on the special attacks of weapons. However, the articles about weapons with special attacks don't have this information in them. What should we do to get this information there? Put links on each weapon's page to it's entry in this article, or copy the information from this article onto that weapon's page? Comments would be helpful. -- Kinkykiitty 15:53, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
I think that the information should be on both pages. By the way, some screenshots or moving like on Wikipedia would be helpful. Grandadmiralparck 12:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Jpegs, ugh! Can't fix them by making them PNG, as the damage is already done, unless you have the original. Ace of Risk 22:06, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
I don't know the exact figure for the defense boost from Excalibur's special, but it's not 10% : I have 50 def and got 58 after using Excalibur's special Patheticcockroach 15:13, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

The ones that hit multiple targets like the rune throwing axe should really have more then one enemy Xor24 23:15, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Do the special attacks give XP?
- Yes, unless you hit a zero. Excalibur's, the Rod of Ivandis', the Ivandis flail's, the Dragon spear's, the Dragon battleaxe's and the Zamorackian spear's special attacks do no damage anyway, so no experience. 19:34, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Should keris be in here? Mjc3 19:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think so - a special attack is something you activate via clicking the special attack bar on the attack style interface. Keris has a special effect - similar, but is always active under certain circumstances (i.e. when fighting kalphites or scarbarites) - which again is different to barrows set effects, which, as long as you have the armour on, the effect is randomly activated (excpet Dharok's) regardless of monster. 19:34, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Dragon battleaxe[edit source]
I just corrected the d-battleaxe info. See the talk page of "dragon battleaxe" for more information on my edit. 188.8.131.52 20:25, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Barrelchest Anchor[edit source]
Couldn't help but notice the Barrelchest Anchor from The Great Brain Robbery isn't here...
@people talking about Keris joining the page above:
Barrows equipment has no "Special Attack" button, yet they're listed, so why not the Keris?
Recovery speed?[edit source]
Does anyone know how fast you recover spec energy? I know it's 10% per unit of time, but what is that unit of time? There's no Dragon Dagger listed. I would do it myself, but I'm a bit busy. 220.127.116.11 19:45, April 14, 2011 (UTC)

Could I do a recording of Dragon Claw Special attack?
Adding new section[edit source]
Using a superior honourable kyzaj (I image in the bloodied kyzaj's special would be the same), there appears to be a special attack using 100% of the special attack bar. Could this be the same as the bands god sword's special? Jed 20012 (talk) 22:10, July 14, 2014 (UTC)
Special/Passive Toggle[edit source]
The Saradomin God Sword has both a passive effect and a special effect but only one can be used. I was able to put the special on my action bar. But I found to my dismay that turned off the passive effect. To get it back I have to get to Saradomin's altar in the God Wars Dungeon...which I'm not brave enough to do yet. Are there other weapons which toggle passive and special? Should we list them here and indicate how to toggle therm?22.214.171.124 20:06, February 25, 2015 (UTC)D ar tagnon
- To my knowledge only the four godswords have the ability to toggle between special and passive. When the toggle was added, all godswords had been given their special back already, so everyone has to head to the god wars to swap them for the passive version if they want it.
