Untitled[edit source]

What do you gain after completing unstable foundations? Any starter items?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blackhole252 (talk) on 16:29, 11 October 2009 (UTC).

This tutorial sucks![edit source]

This tutorial doesn't teach you any skills like fishing or smithing!!! --Disk of returning.png Malcolm33 Disk of returning.png 16:29, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

The old tutorial was quite long and took a while to complete - that kind of put some new players off the game who wanted to just jump into the gameplay and learn for themselves. I think the new tutorial is a lot better in that respect, hopfeully players are into the game as soon as possible and can use the advisor system to teach themselves how to do certain things, if they can't work it out on their own (which would be more fun) --Connorlucas18 16:35, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

I rather like the new tutorial. Then any new player the comes in to the game will be able to jump in to the gameplay much faster, and it sort of enforces Jagex's point of making the game for people 13 years and older. I find that just being taught the controls, while having optional advisors is much better than being babied about the skills --EdTehMan 16:40, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

If you want a tutorial to teach all the skills, then what about Crafting which neither of the old tutorials taught? I haven't done the latest tutorial, but I know from personal experience that the most important skills when starting out are melee combat and the ability to figure things out for yourself without having to ask other players too often. From what I've read, the new tutorial teaches both, while Tutorial Island really failed to teach the second one. Skills are good, but thinking's better. --MarkGyver 20:18, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

You dont get any tools, you have to do all of this crap that is never done really on runescape, in the old tutorial, you acually learned about all of the skills and banks and rules, but now they expect you to use this "advisor system wich doesent make any sense at all. Ugh! This is just plain old wierd and i want the old one back! --Ghrim's book.png WildWings Dragon plateskirt.png}} 00:33, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

How do you bypass the tutorial in order to make the xp lamps available? GS28194 21:08, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

strange arow[edit source]

the trivia section that says

When you choose the view "Runescape Surface", an arrow pointing to the far north-east (till the end of the map, doesn't show the regular "You are Here") , which shows that the cellar is not coded to be under Lumbridge, but in an instanced area of the world map.

is mistaken because it actualy points to the close button.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.14.75.140 (talk) on 00:30, 18 July 2010 (UTC).

Should we even have {{Infobox quest}} on this page?[edit source]

I don't know about you but I can't find any of these details on the RS site. Matt (t) 07:00, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Choice[edit source]

They should bring back tutorial island give new players the choice of which tutorial they want to do. 173.81.130.163 23:57, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Tutorial removed[edit source]

As of May 25th this tutorial's been removed from the game. It should be labelled a historical article and have its tenses changed to past.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.245.148.227 (talk) on 12:59, 27 May 2011 (UTC).

Interesting. I don't doubt that it's been removed, but why does it still show in my quest journal?Krayfish 13:15, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

You say that it's been removed, but I have multiple characters who are still in this tutorial. I can physically login on them and they're right there, in the tutorial with Sir Vant. Jamamon 21:25, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Technically, you're correct in that any accounts that you made during the time that this tutorial was still in use are still physically in the tutorial with Sir Vant, but since the tutorial can no longer be accessed by new players, it's been removed from the game in that sense. However, I do agree that the use of the word "removed" in the article doesn't make as much sense as "discontinued", so I'll see if I can rephrase that for you. Thanks. Ok, thanks. That makes much more sense. Jamamon 07:03, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

does anyone know what happened to the quest point this gave? as the island does not give one. was it just given to another quest? or do pepole with this in thier quest log have 1 more quest point then everyone else? 24.61.162.94 22:53, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

Dragon in Cellar[edit source]

I'm really curious about how they actually got the dragon into a cellar in the first place.Nayfaan (talk) 15:42, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
