Talk:Third server blackout of 2007
A kelogger on the main page? Who comes up with this nonsense? That really ought to be removed. 22.214.171.124 03:53, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
-Its actually a good reason for the servers to blackout. 03:59, 19 2007 (UTC)
- This theory doesn't seem like bullocks. I've read countless reports of people discussing strange activity with their computers before the actual black out. I suggest all users update virus software and scan their computers
- It's no keylogger. Read the "To Jagex" topic in the tech support section of the rs forums. It was probably just technical difficulties, which the mod said. --126.96.36.199 05:11, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
World 111 Glitch?[edit source]
Do we have any information to lead us to think that the World 111 Glitch is reoccuring agian? November 19, 2007
Why is it that people think that this whole "world 111 glitch" is always the reason for a blackout? I find it strange yet interesting that people think this.--Pkthis 02:33, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Oops, looks like Jagex forgot to pay their power bill... Actually, I have no idea why this occured. Maybe Jagex decided to update the game early without any notification in preparation for the Grand Exchange? Anyway, I wasn't on when the servers crashed, so I wouldn't actually know. 03:11, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I was on when the server went down.I was playing,i lost connection, couldnt get back on.Ive heard rumors of a keylogger. That would be enough of a reason for it to blackout.Prince12th 03:54, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Technical Difficulties[edit source]
There's a reasonable explanation for the servers being down, which I have pasted below:
Mod Craddock Jagex Mod
Hi there. Unfortunately, for the past few hours we had experienced technical difficulties.
We are still investigating the cause of those problems but thankfully they seem to be resolved now. We apologise for any inconvenience which was caused.
Taken from the Technical Problems sticky in the Tech Support forum. QFC: 25-26-367-53969603
I don't know what the problem was, but judging by the Jagex mod's reply, it appears to NOT be a keylogger as Mod Craddock would have posted a warning about checking for keyloggers/trojans on our computers instead of the actual message he posted on the Tech Support forum. 04:50, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
The final word about what happened from Andrew Jagex Mod:
I'm sure some of you are wondering why the game/website wasn't working for 3 hours this morning.
It was caused by a hardware failure at our main hosting facility. At around 1:30am GMT for some reason the router/firewall broke and stopped forwarding traffic to the internet! (why do these things always seems to happen in the middle of the night at the weekend?)
So having been woken up at an absurd hour in the morning to receive this unwelcome news, we've now managed to rectify the problem.
Sorry for the inconveniance.

I think there should be links to youtube for all the server blackout articles, including to my video, which so far seems to be the only video around along with another about the third blackout. (Man, i wish I didnt have school the next day, i would have stayed for the ice plateu massacre!)Durial321 20:47, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
