Talk:Third age kiteshield
How do you know that it is a 1 in 10000 chance???
- Yeah, the only sources I could find were speculation. I've added the fact template. C Teng talk 00:19, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't think the shield is 11 kg. I think it's around 3 kg. Can someone confirm? Dr Locust 04:39, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
a 3rd age piece....[edit source]
It is confirmed that paul gower said " The chance of recieving a 3rd age piece from a treasure trail is exactly 1/10000." The only thing that is unclear to me is if 1/10000 means all the pieces combined, or just one piece. The wording in his quote is unclear and incorrect. I believe that he meant a specific piece as a 1/120000 chance is extremely low for any mmorpg, and very close to zero in that respect. Assuming 100k - 200k level 3 clue scrolls are done each week in runescape, 1-2 3a kites would come into the game per week. Third age has been out since nov. 2007, so around 130 weeks have passed since its release. This means around 250 kites exist. For a population of 3.5 million active members, this isn't much. I find it much more likely that it's around 12x more common, which would mean there are around 3k kites ingame which is around 1 per every 1000 players. This seems more reasonable. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Firefight33 (talk) on 07:32, June 18, 2010.
