Assist System[edit source]

Is it possible to use the Assist System to bypass the Crafting level requirement when making the helmet? Sol Levante 13:33, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

No it is not you still need the required crafting level. You can use potions to boost your crafting level to make the helmet.

Slayer Bonus[edit source]

Does the slayer helmet gives a 15% attack bonus ? Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 11:14, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

On slayer tasks, its does. Just like black mask.--Degenret01 15:43, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Is it worth it getting 400 slayer points for it? --mikepaiva973

i got one yesterday and it took so long.. seriously lol. --User:Poobum222

Picture[edit source]

For the picture on the page, where is that taken from? It sure as heck isn't a wiki image. Syugecinspam 12:24, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

It's probably from the Knowledge Base. Sol Levante 13:18, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Knowledge Base misinformation[edit source]

I was looking at the Slayer: Extra Features section of the Knowledge Base and noticed that it said you need 700 points to learn how to make these. Would that be best off in Trivia? Sir Revan125 23:47, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Salve Amulet[edit source]

If a player were to wear both a slayer helm and a salve amulet(e), which item would give the atk/str bonus?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 00:48, February 7, 2009.

If fighting an undead slayer task, the salve amulet (e) will give +20% att and str. The bonuses from a black mask/slayer helm and salve amulet ((e)) do not stack.
As a side note, if fighting a dragon with a black mask/slayer helm and dragon slayer gloves, you will have a +15% str and +25% att boost (i.e. they do stack). There are no undead dragons (actually, not sure about revenant dragons, but I doubt it since they count for a ghost task not a dragon task); skeletal wyverns do not count as dragons. High/ Low Alch[edit source]

Seriously? the High Alch is 65,430 and Low Alch is 23,200? Some guy I read in the forums said that it was worth 3k when alched...

--King x treme 02:17, 17 February 2009 (UTC) (Oh yeah, whats wrong with my signature? It sometimes works)

I'm doubting the 65,430/23,200, since it doesn't follow the usual trend of H.A. is about 1.5 time L.A. (or L.A. is 2/3 of H.A.). Either way, only alch if you're willing to lose the black mask.
As for your sig, you should change your preferences; change your Signature to {{SUBST:Nosubst|Signature/King x treme}}, and checking the box for Custom signatures (underneath the Signature field). For more info see Template:Signatures. Hope that helps. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 20:28, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Well, i just died with slayer helm, and combat bracelet got kept above it, so i'm presuming hi alch value is less than combat bracelet's (12,624) 09:43, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Boost stacking[edit source]

I my task is Aberrant spectres, and i use a salve amulet (e) along with this, which boost will be used? The salve amulet's or the slayer helm's?-- Rune crossbow.png Saphrone08 Talk Ranged cape (t).png 05:00, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Does the slayer helmet work in dominion tower for bosses such as the dagannoths and demons?

Proof of Stats Post-April EOC Update[edit source]

Here is the proof for my change of the Slayer helm's stats. 14:46, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Full Slayer Helm = Downgrade, Not Upgrade?[edit source]

1. So my regular helm melee type stats are twice as good as my full slayer helm hybrid stats. Would it make sense for melee players to disassemble into a regular slayer helm?

2. When using the compare items interface, why are there two entries for slayer helmet (40A/120LP + 22/12) but not full slayer helmet? Do the two entries cover when you are on a slayer assignment versus not on assignment? (And if so, should a second entry be added for FSH as well?)

3. Also, I don't know the ins and outs of armor and still don't understand how wearing this is better than my Bandos. 660 fewer LP, less block chance for melee/ranged, no prayer bonus. Bandos damage seems 1.7% better, but on assignment the 12.5% boost definitely outweighs it. Even so, I'm a bit confused.

Could anyone help us noobs out? I think what would be most helpful is a table showing the all stats of power armor helmets versus full slayer helm versus slayer helm (on assignment). And for tougher monsters, might it make sense to wear power armor for the extra LP and defense? 01:39, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

In regards to your second question: there are two entries for the normal slayer helmet because the charged version (which can store summoning scrolls) has different stats from the normal version; whereas I assume this is not the case for the full slayer helmet. The stats noted are regardless of whether you're on a slayer assignment or not. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:33, September 4, 2013 (UTC)
I guess the difference ins tats may be due to the ful slayer helmet being classes as hybrid/all and the slayer helment as melee, but it's still silly - imo. I think you'd be slightly better off to use the slayer helmet for melee tasks and if you only want the stats and don't need any of the other things (like face mask) use the focus sight and Hexcrest for their class tasks. And if you just wear good other armour... it should be alright. The body defends the bost anyway. . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium.
