Untitled[edit source]

Zartye bow is like 1500 ish weapon damage * 5 = 7500 max hit, that kind of seems over powered, since you could drink 2 adrinaline potions while hiding off in the shadows at full hp and open pvp combat up with this move.

Someone should see how this works with duel weild crossbows, would the weapon damage be for 864(ascention bolt)*1.5(duel weild)*5 = 6480 max hit?  72.218.111.234 01:57, May 21, 2014 (UTC) neokyle

Self-damage[edit source]

I'm currently in the process of testing, but it seems that sometimes this ability will damage you for double what it's supposed to. I've found a few times when I used it I've taken close to 5k damage at once.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Alright, after a few minutes playing around at Aberrant Spectres I've noticed that sometimes I'll get hit (3 damage splats) and then get hit again (3 more splats) the next tick.
I almost 1-shot myself by dealing 5.6k self damage, and that doesn't seem quite right to me.

Unlock requirements?[edit source]

So is anyone going to mention how to unlock this move or have I overlooked it in the Ranged Abilities tab? I completed every Quest so far! Sir Fairfang Woot! 99 Magic! 15:27, November 5, 2015 (UTC)

Average hit calculation[edit source]

If the chances of hitting the 3rd, 4th and 5th hit are correct, then the average damage should be calculated differently:

The chance of hitting all 5 = 0.9 * 0.8 * 0.7 = 0.504. The chance of hitting 4 (missing either 3rd, 4th, 5th) = 0.9 * 0.8 * 0.3 + 0.9 * 0.2 * 0.7 + 0.1 * 0.8 * 0.7 = 0.398. The chance of hitting 3 (hitting either 3rd, 4th, 5th) = 0.9 * 0.2 * 0.3 + 0.1 * 0.8 * 0.3 + 0.1 * 0.2 * 0.7 = 0.092. The chance of hitting 2 (missing 3rd, 4th, 5th) = 0.1 * 0.2 * 0.3 = 0.006.

The average number of hits then equates to: 5 * 0.504 + 4 * 0.398 + 3 * 0.092 + 2 * 0.006 = 4.4. Thus, the average damage dealt becomes: 4.4 * 66.5% = 292.6%, and the average self-damage becomes: 4.4 * 33.25% = 146.3%.
