Beta[edit source]

Untitled[edit source]

The Beta infobox is not showing and it is incorrect in the damage field. Also the SS now uses a crushing attack while the Godswords use a slashing attack (which is opposite of what you'd expect).--Zotic50 (talk) 15:47, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

I tried the SS against Waterfiends, and while I admit I didn't even glance at the stats, I didn't hit the WF for any appreciable damage, so I have to question the crush style. Hope to double-check this on Friday, as I am using my WF Slayer assignment as a test-lab. EDIT: Maybe it's time to archive the older comments? OneEyedGnome 01:18, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, the SS is Crush, and my hits against the Waterfiends must have been RNGscape. Sorry about that. OneEyedGnome 23:54, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

SS vs BGS[edit source]

  • i was wondering if the bandos godsword does more damage per second than the saradomin sword not including specials though, because ss has +82 str 6 speed and bgs has +132 and 4 speed but which is better?

Attack level[edit source]

Anyone know the attack level required to wield? It merits inclusion.

The sara sword IS two-handed, as it is shown 2-handed on the Knowledge base. Plus, it has a crush bonus, not a stab bonus.

Some info[edit source]

The (SS) Sara sword is basically a whip with an option to train strengh.

And can't be used with a shield or defender. 71.211.54.163 03:59, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

"The hit percentage of this weapon is based both attack and magic levels."

Has anyone got any sources to back this? It's a claim to make with no evidence to back it up. Unless it was talking about the special attack, in either case it wasn't very clear. PikachuMayhem 20:17, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

[---](Yes, it is only for the special attack, you also get magic exp for the magic portion of the damage dealt while using the special.)[---]

examine txt[edit source]

So what examine text does it have now? Green partyhat.png Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333)  talk Green partyhat.png 11:22, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

The incredible blade of an Icyene. hope that helps =p

special dmg[edit source]

the statement that the special does 5-15 dmg more of magic is totally wrong on numerous occasions i have done well above 20 on both hits making the 5-15 thing impossible. i dont know if its a glitch or not but ive done it many times.

this is because the special's damage is based on your combat levels stat levels).

Either it's a glitch, or the knowledge base is incorrect. However, nowhere does it say that the special attack damage is based on your comabt level. AriasCombatSwords.pngKnight 06:21, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Arias Knight, I think what he was trying to say was that the damage is based on your "Combat Stat Levels", which may also be wrong anyway.Chivalry.pngUser:Chris2fer381Chivalry.png 06:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
92 str and 91 magic and it never hit over 15 for me. --Wowbagger421 16:01, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
ive hit over 20 and i have 74 str and 71 mage.

I easily hit into the 20's with at least one of the strikes nearly every time. --Ashura652 21:47, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

the lightning adds another 5-15 extra damage to your hit. so if your max is 20 with the sword, your max with the special could be like 35 :D

I can confirm that the magic part of the special can hit more than 15. I just got a 24/16 hit on kalphites, 85 str, 63 mage. I was wearing a slayer helm and kaliphites were my task. Could it be possible that the 15% bonuses also apply to the magical portion of the spec? --

Sara Sword Special?[edit source]

I think that the Sara Sword Special animation has to be changed. I'm pretty sure that the spec does what it shows currently, but also 4 smaller lightning bolts surround the enemy. At least that's what I've seen. I may be wrong though, maybe they don't show up if its the final hit. But it would be good to see the surrounding lightning bolts, and to see some decent damage being dealt with it, and this goes for other spec animations too. I would do this myself, but I don't know how to capture something like that, and turn it into a GIF. Sorry for the run-on sentences. Chivalry.pngUser:Chris2fer381Chivalry.png 07:02, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I've discovered it's better to get a successful attack into an opponent before using the special attack on a target. For instance... if i hit a 0 then use the special attack, there is a 80% chance of hitting 0 with the special attack but if i hit 100 then use the special attack would only have a 10% chance of hitting 0. Make your own investigations and let me know what you found... (Not got an account on Wikia)

Opinion[edit source]

I am too lazy to make an account, but the word "unarguably" is used in this article, well I can make an argument against something which is so called "unarguable" so perhaps this should be changed (I did, but it got reverted for an unknown reason. I am under the impression that this wiki is not allowed to show opinion, the use of such a word can only ever be the subject of an opinion. 81.110.182.174 15:22, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Accuracy is NOT based on Attack and Mage, just Attack.[edit source]

The article had read that the Sara Sword's accuracy was based on the player's mage and attack levels. This is wrong, having no basis in fact whatsoever. The Sara Sword is basically just a 2 handed whip with the option to train strength, so if you said that mage level affected this weapon's accuracy, then it would also have to affect the whip's accuracy, which is false. I deleted it. This could be true of the special attack, but we have no basis in fact for that either. Swordfishguy 18:55, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

PvP world drop?[edit source]

Is this actually obtainable in PvP worlds? I know things like Dragon Full Helms and Dragonfire Shields, but this seems a bit over the top...Quest point cape.png ThatOneGuy Quest point cape.png 05:17, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Stats?[edit source]

What were the stat increases today?--Swiz Talk Review Me 16:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Contradiction[edit source]

I have removed a line from the trivia stating that the special gives no magic xp, this is false, according to my own experience as well as the main paragraph of the article. Bassjason1 20:56, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Yes I've found it does as well. BigBobBobson 21:15, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Another Slice of H.A.M.[edit source]

Can this be used to hit Sigmund in Another Slice of H.A.M.? I mean before his prayer is removed. Mage24365 02:15, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

I think it will, but good luck finding someone with 70 attack who hasn't completed Another slice Of H.A.M :)
lol im lvl 112 85 att 96 str and 85 def and i just did another slice of ham :P but yea if u hit him while he still has prayer on then it wont work just use the special of the mace and the use the ss or u can just kill him with the mace since hes pretty weak

As fast as a scimitar?[edit source]

According to the speed bar below the infobox, the sword is as fast as a scimitar! Now, before I get all excited, is this really true? Perhaps it's subtle vandalism, or maybe the bar is very generalized. Could someone confirm or deny this?

Red dragon face.png YodimonTalk to meh! Coins 10000.png 20:29, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

It's the exact speed as a whip, which, if memory serves, IS the same speed as a scimitar. The Pandorica will open. 20:33, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, whips are the same speed as scimitars, which also happen to be the same speed as the SS and the ZS. Suppa chuppa Talk 21:07, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Bad Editing[edit source]

I'd like to point out that this topic is badly managed. It requires a big clean-up. There are run-on sentences, as well as a major issue with the neutrality of the subject.

I couldn't agree more that the Sarry sword is a wonderful weapon, however the tone of the article is very bad.

Quote taken: "while the Abyssal Whip with a Strength level of 99, an Overload/Extreme strength potion, the Turmoil prayer with a +32% strength bonus, a Slayer helmet on a Slayer task, a Ferocious ring worn inside Kuradal's dungeon, with Bandos armour and a fire cape can only do about 618 damage."

The above quote needs to be cleaned-up. Can someone please take a few minutes to better this page from its current "garbage" status? Thank ye..

Possible origins of thou holy swords?[edit source]

Has anybody yet wondered about origins of those swords that elite black knights are holding around?

Now this wonder what i've gotten so far of it is the location, quite northy indeedy, aye? Likely to say, quite close to Godwars dungeon, simply. I would mainly belive that these fellas happened by accident or actually seeking for remaining weapons from old days of God Wars, of 3rd age, ofc. Well then again now thinking that if icyenes happened to have these swords with them mostly, at very begin and perhaps even during war..? Therefore would wonder how's those swords gotten that far from the homeland, Hallowvale, eh? This of wondering i has random through about Hallowvales take over during wars, and so far no wonder if icyenes there had these swords, and after along time turned into vyrewatches, wouldn't be suprised if they couldn't wield such holy weapon again, since they're bloodsuckers at a time, wichfore perhaps by some way they had delivered/traded them with somebody, perhaps now to mention, with Kinshra, the Zamorakian military.

All this, how ever being just randomly gotten wonders of wonders.. Hee hee! So care not of these, but i just felt to unfold this into somewhere, perhaps aiding with any kind of knowledge stuff, whateverelse, eh.
