Names and Races[edit source]

Is it just me or have most of the groups named in this article been made up? There isn't such a thing as the 'Zamorakian Order of Paterdomus' (although I think the author ment the monks of Zamorak currently residing in Paterdomus), and neither is the 'Morytanian Splinter Group' (Who are that? The humans like Gadderanks who sided with the Vampyres?). And the races listed at the left side are just (almost) all the sentient races known to live west of the Salve. It all looks really classy, but I think we should delete some of the participants, despite that it's fairly logical that they would participate if they knew about it. We don't have any proof the goblins fight on our side right? Well, then don't list 'em amongst our allies. And instead of fancy names like 'Morytanian Splinter Group' we could just say that 'independent humans' are fighting for the Vampyre cause. Hippodo 18:35, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

My guess is the information may be found in the novel. Karlis (talk) (contribs) 18:51, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Could be, I never read the novel. I thought the story was set in Falador and surroundings, not as far as Morytania. Hippodo 19:01, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Having created the page, I'll explain myself; and I don't deny that I had to contrive some of the names of the organisations. The Zamorakian Order of Paterdomus, I created this name simply because I could find no other name in-game, and it seemed the simplest choice next to "Those Zamorakian Monks from Priest in Peril". The Morytanian Splinter Group is the Saradominist and Zamorakian rebellion group seen during Legacy of Seergaze, and this name comes from Drezel referring to them as a "splinter group"; I imagine an official name will be revealed in the future. As to participants in the war, some of the more indirect fighters are those involved in the beacon system. The system is designed to warn the region if an invasion from Morytania or the Wilderness occurs, and I thought it logical that, if the goblins or barbarians are running a beacon, they've committed themselves to the war. I wouldn't be against simplifying names or making this more obvious in the article, but I have yet to really mull over a way to do it. Morian Smith 01:02, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
I don't think the Trolls and Goblins really fight against the Drakans. They might do the beacons for their own safety against attacks from the Wilderness... Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 13:56, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

The names are all speculation and fan fiction, including the article name itself. I'm not saying they are bad, but it's not the purpose of the wiki to make things up about RuneScape. Unless the names can be found in RuneScape or in other official Jagex material, I think we should use made-up formal names. Inelcirc 14:12, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
