Hits?[edit source]

Does anyone have any info to contribute on how these function as a weapon? Level of hits? How high etc? I'm interested in whether or not they might be useable for pvm/training. Seeing as how they're high stats and high req's I'd expect semi-decent hits. They seem to be a high-stat form of javelin? 195.137.81.78 16:13, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Highest I managed (91 range, no prayers or pots) was 330. That was at a pretty long distance, against the Jadinkos, and anything above around 220 was orange. Accuracy seemed pretty good, but it felt like I was losing a lot of them. Armcie 17:21, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Nice! Seems like a pretty decent weapon. Was considering trying them against jad on my next attempt (super-longrange attempt), see if the hits add up. Ruby bolts probably still better through 195.137.81.78 18:49, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Broads seem to hit about 300ish already and that's one tick faster than the sagaies. Also, since at this point broads are also cheaper this makes using sagaie a bit pointless. 202.156.10.11 11:11, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Sagaie vs. Broad Bolts[edit source]

Ranged strength: 70 vs. 100

Ranged attack: 100 vs. 90 (rune cross)

speed: 4.2 sec vs. 3.6 sec

max: 600's vs. 300's (on mutated)

other factor: Sagaie are almost always lost when used so this means a higher material cost to use right? Being that broad bolts have a lower average hit than sagaie more time is taken per kill and as muated hits frequently that's more material to use. However, based on the method used (soul split, rocktails, or even unicorn) broads may be cheaper to use overall.

Overview:

Sagaie: faster and possible higher material cost.

broad botls: longer kills, more hp loss per kill.

EoC[edit source]

Does the damage/accuracy trade-off with distance still take effect after EoC?  If so, do we have numbers for these? FearTheMedia (talk) 22:21, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
