Untitled[edit source]

Is this worth using for powermining training, or is it too slow to justify it's use? 20:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Bandos and Armadyl minions won't attack?[edit source]

Can anyone verify this? Is this a glitch or something, because if so it can be very useful for players fighting gwd bosses. C.ChiamTalk 07:40, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Experience table[edit source]

If it's true that the axe can mine 500 ore as stated in the article, shouldn't the table look more like this? Calculated with exp times 500.

Ore Regular XP Sacred Clay XP Total XP per pickaxe
Pure Ess 5 10 5,000
Copper 17.5 35 17,500
Tin 17.5 35 17,500
Iron 35 70 35,500
Silver 40 80 40,000
Coal 50 100 50,000
Sandstone 30, 40, 50, 60 60, 80, 100, 120 30,000-60,000
Gold 65 130 65,000
Granite 50, 60, 75 100, 120, 150 50,000-75,000
Mithril 80 160 80,000
Adamant 95 190 95,000
Runite 125 250 125,000

Current table in the article is:

Ore Regular XP Sacred Clay XP Total XP per pickaxe
Pure Ess 5 10 5000
Copper 17.5 35 16,783
Tin 17.5 35 16,783
Iron 35 70 14,973
Silver 40 80 (Unknown, Please add)
Coal 50 100 15,000
Sandstone * * (Unknown, Please add)
Gold 65 130 14,560
Granite 50, 60, 75 100, 120, 175 {Depends)
Mithril 80 160 (Unknown, Please add)
Adamant 95 190 (Unknown, Please add)
Runite 125 250 8,250

This seems way off if you can mine 500 ore per axe. I have no idea if that's true. Amulet of furyBendik.TalkBerserker ring 12:06, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Ores mined and level effects[edit source]

I've added a total ores mined column to the table, which will make it easier to check the total experience figures, give an idea of how long it will take to use a pick for training, and can be used to check whether level has an effect.

At the moment, the new column is labelled (lvl 66) because this is the only data I have. If users with level 40 mining (or as close as possible) and level 99 mining could check these figures, we could rule out any kind of level effect on the use of sacred clay tools. If you must delete these additions in the name of tidying, at least move them to the talk page please. 22:09, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Speed?[edit source]

What speed is it? Like rune pick or bronze pick? This should be added to the article.

If its slow as bronze pick, the double exp doesnt really help because rune pick mines alot faster

also, does it work on stars?

Yes ;) Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 00:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Generally people say it's rumoured to be as fast as rune, but we'd have to repeatedly to time how long it takes to mine 100 of the same type of ore and average it out, to know for sure. 13:39, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I have used this countless times, and have roughly timed how many ores I can get in an hour. The numbers showed that it is very comparable to a rune pickaxe, with the rune getting slightly less ores, as it seemed to bring more gems. Through my rough expiriments, I would say it is nearly equal to the rune pickaxe. Karlis (talk) (contribs) 13:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

xp per pic[edit source]

I believe some of them may be off, for example if you multiply the iron ores per pic by the xp you dont get whats in the total xp column. I also calculated with one pic that the real experience for one pic is closer to 14k for iron which would be 7k bonus xp. 05:49, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
