Untitled[edit source]

Need someone to add a picture of the Rogue's Den's maze! Thanks. Dreadnought 02:56, 12 September 2006 (UTC) Wow! You have to do all that work just for ONE piece of rogue armor? Wow, thats unbelievable............and its non-tradable too, which is dumb.--Pkthis 03:28, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

If you have 80 or higher thieving, there is a serious shortcut that makes this maze much quicker. It's why i waited until that level to even attempt the maze. ~kytti khat 02:54, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

This "minigame" is so annoying. Dr Locust 17:33, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Experience Reward[edit source]

Anyone tried to calculate the experience before? From what I can tell, it appears to take the amount of thieving and agility points used, then give a multiplier based on how far you've gone. Leaving or failing in the first room gives 0, passing the first pendulum gives .2, and passing the room full of traps and going through the first grill gives .3. I'll see if I can find out how much is given for each subsequent room. This could alter strategies used by using shortcuts to get further into the maze quicker along with purposely draining your thieving -- 18:37, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Testing this out found that they went .2, .3, .4, 1, 1.2, 3, 5, 6.8... I stopped after that point, it's just after the buzz saw trap when you go through the passageway near the shortcut. However, I did check how much you get for clearing the maze: You get 12 xp for each point of agility or thieving spent. Not quite as lucrative as I'd hoped --Urth 21:06, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Safe Cracking Scenarios[edit source]

When I did rouge's den for awhile (around 6 months ago), I found that what each safe contains rotates (clockwise I think it was) and that there is one spot for each piece of armour, 2 for traps, and 1 for the kits, though I'll need someone to confirm all of this because I'm not 100% sure. I did, however, manage to never get rouge gloves for around 40 trips because I didn't stick with the same safe to crack. The safes might be rotated based on who enters the den, not by player, clueless about that as well. If this is correct, you might be able to collect rouge's kits faster/avoid spikes/collect the correct piece of armour to complete a set. I don't think this is right, but I think each safe may only give a certain item in the set. I've been doing this for an hour now and the only item i've got out of the front left (as you enter the safe room) is the head and legs. Am about to try another side, so we'll see what happens. Spectre1235 23:03, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I just did two runs to the opposite side. Facing the entrance to the safe room, I went to the safe on the right. Got Rogue Top and Rogue Gloves in two runs. Seems if you want the head, legs or boots, go to the front side. If you want the chest or gloves, go to the back. Can anyone else try this out? Spectre1235 00:37, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
Well, that was probably just pure coincidence. I just got another mask from doing the same spot. Oh well. Spectre1235 00:56, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
I've been through about 20 times as of 2/4/2011, and so far i've found that entering the room with compass pointed north: Mask was on the right, Boots on the back, legs on the front, and top on the left... no gloves yet.. but i've gotten 3 masks from the right! trying top for gloves..<_< -Tyrnok

Date added?[edit source]

Does anyone know the month(or even better, the date) this minigame was made? ≈ RangedDbzken (Talk)(Contribs)(Edits)Defence ≈ 09:38, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Running past traps[edit source]

In the article it's said you can run past three traps in a row. Maybe this has since been updated, because i've never been able to run past more than one trap. --Tharkon 13:23, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

Running Past Traps[edit source]

Well, i think you just failed lawl. its possible, but only to run past two traps now.i dk why, but following the instructions n the article it seems that no more than two can be bypassed at any given time.

To you, i suggest reading the instructions over again on running over traps because they do* work..

Running Past Traps[edit source]

I did this minigame over a year ago and i was able to run over 3 traps in a row. Doesn't seem to work now. You can only run over one. --Angra mania 01:32, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

I'm having the same experience. It seems to me that this makes the path above the first 80 thieving door impossible, since there are 6 traps like this:

(W=wall, T=trap, X=square you need to reach). If so, the minigame would be impossible for players with less than 80 thieving. Edit: Sorry I guess it's not impossible; I didn't realise the traps could be deactivated. Stewbasic 18:02, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Move[edit source]

I propose to move this article to Rogues' Den and update all relevant text because of the convention used in the [ Game Guide] as well as the music track named for this minigame. I've never played this minigame but there may be a grammar argument as well. Wink --Quarenon  Talk 12:33, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Support - I don't see why not. If the game manual and the music track do it that way, then we should, too. Prgmbeta 11:32, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

Support - Per the game guide. I'm going ahead with this. Air rune.png Tollerach hates SoF Fire rune.png 21:28, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Awesome[edit source]

I love this activity. It's sooo cool. People seem to think it's tedious, but once I completed it the first time, I found I'd memorised the route and now I've found almost every conceivable way of minimizing points lost. I wonder if anyone else has? Also, does anyone know what's in the chest surrounded by spring traps?

Rogue Equipment[edit source]

Does anyone know what the upcoming update will do to the existing rogue equipment? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Egdcltd (talk) on 17:02, December 1, 2011.

From the BTS - "Old Rogues’ Den rewards are still achievable, and don’t worry: the fire’s still there!" BTW, please sign talk page comments with four ~. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 17:49, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
