50 thieving?[edit source]
Ive entered the den without 50 thieving, i could use the bank and fire, but not talk to master thief. --Mercuri5 07:48, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- You dont need 50 theiving to enter the place. 50 theiving is required for the minigame inside there. Most people use this place for cooking due to the closeness of the bank and the fire. This does not require any requirements.--MgsCell 07:57, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Wall safe XP rates[edit source]
Four wall safes are in the centre of the den. Players can try to crack the safes. Success means they receive 70 thieving experience and also randomly get an uncut gem (sapphire to diamond) or gold Coins (10, 20, 40 or 50 coins). Failure means they trigger a trap and take a small amount of damage. Stethoscopes, which Martin Thwait sells, help with cracking the safes. Good thieves can earn up to 80k to 90k, of if they're really good, up to 100k xp per hour using these. A recommended method is buying about 100 Chocolate Cakes, go to the Rogue's Den and withdraw 10 Cakes. Eat the cakes when you're low on health, somewhere ranging from 7(ALWAYS make sure you have at least 6 hitpoints) to 20 would be ideal. Alternatively, if you have a Bunyip, buy about 100-200 of it's Healing Scrolls, and you can save a lot of inventory space. If you're lucky, you can earn about 600-650k in 2 to 3 hours.
Cracking the wall safes in Rogue's Den is a good way to train. Use a Stethoscope to increase your chances. Each success gives 70 experience with some loot, failure yielding into 2-6 damage received. Player needs about 3 seconds for successful crack. Presumming no failures it means around 1500 experience per minute resulting into 90K experience per hour, but this rate should be significantly lowered by failures. Also one cracking attempt often takes longer.
Jeroenvt you really should never edit sombody elses post on a talk page and delete signatures. Now It sounds like inchoeherent ways to train thieving and the orignal point of the post is lost. Here was the original message...This article claimed 500k xp an hour at wall safes, whereas the traing article proved that 90k is the ablsolute high possible xp per hour. I was just adressing a discrepency.
Also Jeroenvt I think you lost the point of a "disscussion page" you are not supposed to edit others post to what you belive is right but to Disscuss with them ways to improve the article and your thoughts on it. I will undo your edit to the above question because the coehesion is now lost, however I will leave mine the way you changed it because part of useing the wikia disscussion pages is to learn from mistakes.

Oh, sorry, I thought it was an official page thingy. My bad, I apologise ^^
"Presumming no failures it means around 1500 experience per minute resulting into 90K experience per hour, but this rate should be significantly lowered by failures. Also one cracking attempt often takes longer." So please stop changing the xp rate unless you have valid proof! Bakinblak009 00:55, March 4, 2010 (UTC)
