Updated with new information[edit source]
These are also dropped by 'Mosquito Swarm'. They are Level 17 with 100% drop rate of 3 Proboscis (I've killed about 8-9 and they all have dropped 3 Proboscis). They appear occationally when hacking down light, medium or dense jungle.
- When I used to do Tai Bwo Cleanup, the number they'd drop depended on their combat level, i.e. how many mosquitoes are in the swarm. If it was just one, they'd drop one proboscis, if there were 5, they'd drop 5, etc.
