Does he ever like die permanetly?184.108.40.206 16:23, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
Rewards for slaying the demon (drops and/or xp) appear to be zero. Is this everyone else's experience too?
Didn't a mod say he has a drop? maybe it happends only after a certain amount of kills (maybe not 200'000'000, but still something high) and everybody who killed at least one gets delivered a reward?

There seems to be a persistent rumor across most worlds that if you refrain from attacking one when it spawns and wait for it to dance that it'll drop gifts. I've heard that a mod said it could drop something like an above poster mentioned, but I haven't the slightest idea if it's true because on every world I've been to there's always at least one person who doesn't *not* attack it. I managed to find a lone one in the varrock sewers. Tried to dance (alone) in front of him using the dance and the zombie dance emotes but nothing happened. I then tried to solo him, but at around 2/5 or 3/7 health remaining this skulled gal comes in and starts to attack him, ignoring my initial plea to let me do all the damage, and another guy that arrived immediately after her followed suit. During the rest of the fight this a-hole couldn't stop moving, and I think she was trying to get the demon closer to me, maybe she thought the demon had a meele attack that did some damage, unlike the disco ball. Of course, at the end of the fight, she fakes getting 200M something and I die a little inside because of how shitty the playerbase can be. Doing more than 50% damage doesn't drop anything, and although I made only one attempt (and serously, how stupid would it be for the special price to not be 100% drop chance after 20 minutes AND during an event?) i am fairly sure that Jagex is not expecting anyone to solo him. Maybe there must be a given number of people dancing? I will try again with the "wait for him to dance" strategy.

- It does seem unlikely that Jagex would expect you to somehow solo these, considering there's so few of them and the friction it would inevitably cause among players. For all their faults, Jagex has a *very* good understanding of the average Runescape player and would only be making their own lives more difficult by giving young idiots the opportunity to grief others.
If anyone was curious, this npc did NOT have 200,000,000 hitpoints, but he had 20,000 hitpoints, the hit damages were masked as critical larger hits, when it reality, you were only hitting 10 - 70 lifepoints.
