Prices?[edit source]

We could really do with an unbiased price guide check on this - if these really are trading at 50k, I'll go and farm the Chaos dwarves for them. Since the trade is pretty thin (for a wilderness monster drop which can only be redeemed for the item bundle even deeper in the wilderness), it is hard to get accurate prices. Novices may consider it to be somewahat rare, but it is not difficult to get with a decent combat level, unless interrupted by PKers. Ace of Risk 22:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Pfft, muddy keys are practically worthless. You get, frankly, junk. It's probably more like 5k, if that. Oddlyoko talk 22:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
That was my impression, about 5k worth of items, at the high range of player prices, with the keys trading (if at all) at 10-20k due to misjudged "rarity". Ace of Risk 20:35, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Need 96 summoner to test?[edit source]

So I've been using these keys with a war tortoise familiar; it takes about 6 minutes to do a trip of 21 keys using Ice Plateau Teleport. Counting the cost of the runes, energy potions and so forth, it works out to about 1.2m profit per hour (assuming all the loot sells at current ge prices; admittedly I've been keeping the rubies, and don't know how easily they sell). For me this is an extremely good rate, though higher levels may disagree. A pack yak would be even more effective. One could take 57 keys, 5 scrolls and a cheap dagger. Going from edgeville via the Wilderness Obelisks would take about 4 minutes. Using the keys and scrolls would obviously take some inventory juggling (note that if your inventory is full, the key is replaced by the mithril bar, and the other items drop on the ground), but assuming the daggers and pizzas are discarded/eaten, I think it 8 minutes would be more than enough. After that the black dragons down the ladder will happily provide a "free Lumbridge teleport"; say 1 minute for that. At current prices, it all works out to 325k profit for 13 minutes, or 1.5m per hour (and I've tried to estimate conservatively). I clearly won't be getting 96 summoning anytime soon, so if someone has that level, and considers 1.5m/hour a good income, I'd appreciate if they could try this out and see what the actual rate is.
