Talk:Money making guide/Tanning black dragonhide
So can anyone tell me why these guides exaggerate so much?
First off, it is not possible to deploy more than one portable crafter on top of each other at the Castle Wars location that this guide recommends. At least, not in the spot that is most efficient.
Second, how on Earth is this guide accurate when it's stating that 2400 hides can be tanned in one portable crafter? The most hides i have ever tanned with a portable crafter is ~1300 and i was trying quite diligently. Is there some tanning potion that doubles the speed at which you may tan that I do not know about? If so it should be included in this guide. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by PapaSquat816 (talk) on 10:25, 29 February 2016.
- You can use a portable (from your inventory) on an already deployed portable to extend the timer; you don't deploy one on top of another.
- Are you using presets? 10:29, February 29, 2016 (UTC)
yes i am using presets. for some reason you are going a little faster than i am but you are pulling off 2500 hides an hour. this guide advertises well over that being done in an hour. this guide advertises that number can be done on ONE crafter, however is my issue.
yes i understand you cannot put them on top of one another. but on the spot where you are at it does not allow me to extend the time of the other crafter by deploying another. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by PapaSquat816 (talk) on 10:51, February 29, 2016 (UTC).
When i got those rates i did NOT extend the crafters and i got just over 2500 per crafter. The guide says 2400 per crafter which equals to 28800 per hour. ImMentally (talk) 10:57, February 29, 2016 (UTC)
Okay well in the video you linked it even says 2500 hides per crafter.
This video states you can get 28,000 an hour. Which is 2400 per crafter which i do not believe is possible.
I have been doin this for like a week now only getting 1200 hides and i'm going really fast... are there some other shortcut besides the bank shortcuts? and can you make a video showing 2400 per crafter? because i'm not trying to be difficult but that isn't what you got in the video. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by PapaSquat816 (talk) on 18:15, February 29, 2016 (UTC).
- The video shows three crafters, back to back, with a total of 7532 hides done. That's a little over 2500 per crafter, or a little over 30,000 per hour. (Typo in the description.)
- Are you doing the same actions with the mouse as the video? Pre-clicking the crafter when possible, using 1 and spacebar hotkeys for preset and make-x respectively? 18:41, February 29, 2016 (UTC)
Okay man, im sorry to say this, not to be harsh or anything, but you are being really difficult right now... If you just look at the video from 0:00 to 5:12 (A crafter lasts for 5 minuttes and i placed it ~0:11) you can see that i started with 8000 black dragonhide and 0 black dragon leather and i ended with 5452 black dragonhide and 2548 black dragon leather, meaning that during the first crafter i managed to tan 2548 leathers, with a couple of missclicks and loss of attention.. I will link the video once more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tkko8pXcB9E
If you actually saw the video then i honestly have no idea why you think i didnt get 2400+ hides per crafter. I placed 3 crafters and ended up with 7532 black dragonleather which equals (7532/3) to 2510.6 hides per crafter.
So shouldn't the cost to tan be listed under the Inputs? I find that doing this costs about 35-40k a round, but i only get about 1700-1850 each crafter. At 2400 a crafter (hard but i guess do-able) it should be at 48K GP required to tan the hides themselves -Matrix2160 126.96.36.199 02:03, May 6, 2017 (UTC)
someone edited it with insane tanning rates without any evidence, should we undo the edit? 188.8.131.52 23:33, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
I changed it and heres the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dBVAL4ZV9o I used 4 portables which is 20minutes. 26684 hides tanned which is 6671 per portable and 80052 per hour. Danis59 (talk) 09:00, September 12, 2017 (UTC)
