Not random lamps[edit source]

After being able to get Meg for another time, I believe that the lamp is just based in whatever skill she asked for guidance in. The previous 2, she asked about combative advice, and because of those I recieved Slayer lamps. This week, she asked for Thieving advice, which I could assume is for a thieving lamp. Also, I could be wrong based off the short amount of time, but it may be that she only asks for guidance in the 6 main skills that are needed to get into the Player owned ports, which would make sense. Just some theorys on that, if anyone else has a similar case, then I assume that what I said is correct. 67.173.89.158 01:50, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

Well, this week I receieved a Thieving (opening locked doors), Hunting (insects) and Summoning (pet squirrel). I'll have to see which lamp I get next week to see if your theory is correct. I wonder if anyone has actually received a lamp outside of the six port skills; if not your theory could be more likely Sundays211 (talk) 02:18, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
In the discussion above, someone mentions getting a Hunter lamp. Also, I answer mostly Runecrafting questions last week, but I got a large prayer lamp as a reward. ~J22f~TGC 03:01, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
Got a prayer lamp, didn't say anything related to prayer. Jagex named me Able Tis (talk) 03:20, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
As a maxed player I've only gotten Hunter lamps from Meg (my lowest skill). Could it be you just get lamps in your lowest skill? 141.213.55.11 17:27, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

I doubt it. Hunter is my lowest skill (79), but I've also had some RC lamps (which is 92). There might be something that determines it besides randomness, but it's not only picking the lowest skills. . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Stepping away to re-answer[edit source]

So I decide to step away from Meg after the first question to try out her responses to the different answers. You can actually answer at least the first two and step away without any of the answers being recorded. I tested to see what her responses were to the different answers and found out that there isn't a patten. I was choosing the same answer to the question over and over and got pretty much all of her responses: "That doesn't seem quite right. Are you sure?" "That's brilliant!" "Great. I'll keep that in mind." My point is that watching her responses is not a good indicator of if your answer is correct. Also - the answers change order each time. I didn't see any patterns with it. ~J22f~TGC 03:18, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

I had the same experience with this week's reward, got divergent responses to my answers but got 100% reward. Jagex named me Able Tis (talk) 03:27, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

Recording Questions and Answers -[edit source]

To ease up the page load, I've moved the questions and answers portion of the talk page to the talk page linked just above. Feel free to continue posting there and use this page for other types of discussion. MolMan 00:43, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Enchanting sword question conflict[edit source]

"I'm trying to enchant my sword with runes, but it doesn't seem to work...?"

On the answers table, it says "Enchanting doesn't work that way." is not the correct answer. Yet I gave that answer last week and got a perfect adventurer. Is there some variation in the correct answers? Or is it just that one of us was mistaken? Sundays211 (talk) 01:54, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

They must have been mistaken. I updated it. Izzz (talk) 05:25, January 16, 2013 (UTC)
Why do you think "they must have been mistaken"? It's very possible that the game has some randomness in the results. It's even reasonable: if you give perfect advice to someone as clueless as Meg she still may mess up.
I think we began this topic assuming this was something like a game of Mastermind, where we could note the guesses, interpret the answers (lamps) as number of correct answers, and figure out perfect answers to each question. But enough people have reported contradictory results -- one guy gives an answer as part of a perfect adventure, another guy gives the same answer as part of a terrible failure /small XP lamp -- that we'd be foolish to think we know the results are deterministic. Haystacks (talk) 06:37, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Bolded answers?[edit source]

Why are some of the correct answers bolded instead of the wrong ones deleted? Should I be doing that now? Izzz (talk) 05:20, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Sometimes you don't get the bolded (100% correct) in the answer options, the other answers are also correct then.

1 more answer defined[edit source]

3 questions

  1. lumby monster(shrimp) - use small net
  2. magical traps - remotely
  3. magical traps - remotely
  • reward: med exp lamp = 2 out of three - got 2 identical answers. . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium. Enquidou Talk This user likes to do Quests and genuinely loves the story line; lore is his love! . . 14:24, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

A medium lamp is 1 correct answer, not 2. So that would imply "remotely" was wrong and "use small net" was right. Bronzedagger (talk) 00:56, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Validity of answer to "What's the best wood to make a canoe?" (aside)[edit source]

This is currently on our wikipedia page:

So, I was planning on making a canoe and sailing to some of the wilder places downriver. Tell me, what's the best wood to use?

  • Try oak, sturdy and not too expensive. (Perfect adventure)
  • Use the tree at the canoe station. (Confirmed wrong)

I'm not saying the oak answer is wrong and the canoe station is correct for the purposes of the Meg weekly Distraction and Diversion, but in terms of Runescape, using oak to make a canoe is just wrong. And the tree at the canoe station is there for the purpose of making canoes, how can it not be the best wood to use?

Variation in shrimp question answers.[edit source]

Okay, well, thing is...I was hoping to catch something in Lumbridge. Something horrible; something terrifying beyond words. I was hoping to catch...shrimp. Don't laugh - they're horrible things! Slimy and icky... Any tips on how to catch them effectively?
This question has given me a bunch of different answers from the ones shown on the page. The following options were given to me:

  • Get a fishing rod and be patient
  • Wear gloves so you don't have to feel them
  • Just remember that they're harmless
  • Get a net and shove it in the water

Of these four, only the final answer is actually given on the page. Is it possible that there are a bunch of possible correct answers, ranging from best to worst (i.e. if you are given 2 of the highest-ranking possible correct answers, the one ranking highest would be the correct one in your situation, while if you were given only one of the two answers, they would both be correct)?Sundays211 (talk) 20:48, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Does listing matter?[edit source]

I received a Med exp lamp (1 answer correct).

  1. ...I was hoping to catch...shrimp. Don't laugh ... - Use a small fishing net and grab the shrimp quickly. - listed as correct
  2. After defeating a gang of scurvy seadogs... - Take the most valuable pieces - Listed as perfect adventure
  3. What's the best way to take out a sorcerer? - Use a powerful bow to take him out from range. - Listed as perfect adventure

Non-determinism[edit source]

I am now almost certain that the answers cannot be evaluated the way we are doing it on this page. For two consecutive weeks I have answered all three questions with answers marked as "perfect adventure" and both times I got an 'all wrong' result (small xp lamp).

So either -

  • This whole thing is totally random, possibly with different probabilities for each answer, or -
  • The answers are deterministic, but different for each player. Many questions have multiple answers that could be considered more or less correct. It may be that the actual best answer is different for every player, yet still consistent. So player A answering the same question with the same answer multiple times will get the same result every time, but his results are not applicable to player B, who has a different correct answer to the same question.

The second possibility would actually make a lot of sense. It wouldn't be totally random luck, yet it would also make it impossible to get xp the easy way by using a question/answer table as the one on this page. 2.14.24.145 04:14, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

I've given the same (correct) answer 3times on the Lumby shrimps, 1st I got max reward, then I got it wrong all the time. I think it's... a Jagex troll. . . . I have a feeling you guys are wrong...I've been following the main page with my questions/answers and they've all been perfect/almost perfect. Still, if any of you guys could post a thread on the Runescape forums asking for a formal response, I'd gladly add my voice in the comments of the thread. Tallibear (talk) 19:26, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

I'm happy for you if using the table gave you perfect results, but it's pretty clear that it doesn't work out that well for everybody. In my case, I had 0 correct answers out of 6 'perfect adventure' entries I used from the table. So either the 6 replies I used from the table were all incorrectly reported (while not impossible, this is rather unlikely especially since they seemed to be from multiple contributors), or the system just isn't the simple 1-1 relation this table makes it out to be (and you just got lucky :) The latter is much more probable :P 2.14.24.145 00:24, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, thanks ;p. One question though: Since many questions have more than 3 options, have you had a thought that you have to pick the most correct answer? (As if you get two different "perfect adventure" answers in your option, you have to pick the more perfect one?) Anyway, let's organize what we have until now:
1. We have Meg asking 3 questions each week, they can have either 3 or 4 answers, the answers aren't always the same. (Some questions reported to have even 7 different options available)
2. Meg's response to the answers doesn't mean anything.
3. The amount of quests your character have done/its general experience in the game doesn't seem to have any affect on the questions
4. It is highly possible that an answer that is correct for one player isn't for another. - This means that we have really low chance to be able to figure out the system the game is following to determinate the correct answer.
It is seems to me that we'll have to keep using the table in the main page and update the question/answer listing I started hereand meanwhile open a public thread on the Runescape forums about the subject, containing all the info we've gotten (or just what I listed above) and ask for a formal response. Could anyone take their spare time to do that? Tallibear (talk) 13:29, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Answers from Mod Moltare[edit source]

Hi all, Just got a confirmation from Mod Moltare on this issue. It seems that where the confusion lies is when you are a higher level in the skill Meg is asking about, you will have more answers to choose from. It is more likely that the correct answer can only be given at a higher level. Your table is right in that there is a best answer to give, but perhaps the absolute best answer has not been provided due to your level. I'll see if I can fish the answers out for you and send the details your way. - Mod Michelle

OKies, not sure on your policy on linking to things, so I won't. The info is on the Meg page on the official wiki. Took a while but all the questions *should* be there. - Mod Michelle
Thanks for that. I'm in the process of transferring the data over to our page. Should be done soon, then Meg will be unlocked. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 15:41, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
The new format is readable and gives a lot more information -- but there are only about 23 questions here -- it's very incomplete! Are the old questions and answers still retrievable short of undoing the whole thing?? Haystacks (talk) 18:05, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, you figure out this little thing called page history. Also, I could only use the answers I had access to, which were those ones. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 18:09, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
With regards to linking to things, so long as it's safe and not abusive content we generally allow it. With regards to linking to the official wiki, we tend to discourage it because as it's a wiki, it's considered an unreliable source due to anybody being able to edit it (also the same reason why academic research doesn't source wikipedia), but we do allow sourcing to pages which only Jmods can edit, the ones with those red badge things What I've done Ciphrius Kane Talk 20:03, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Protection[edit source]

Why is this page protected?

I have a confirmed list of all the correct answers for Meg's questions, but can't update cause I'm not an administrator...the whole premise of the article is wrong..Cardamaim (talk) 15:51, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Because I had the same list of correct answers (the rsow one) and was adding them to the page. It was protected so that I could do such a massive edit without conflict from others wanting to do the same thing. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 15:56, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
Although, even if I hadn't locked the page to prevent conflicts, you still should not have made any edits on there, since I had added Template:Inuse to the top of the page, which basically means "back off, someone else is at work here". Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 16:06, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Unlisted questions?[edit source]

What about questions that are not listed right now?  I have not edited this section and I don't feel comfortable doing so any accidentally providing bad information.  However, I do have a Meg-question in my port today that is not in the table.

"I was wondering what the best weapon was for cutting through dense undergrowth."

  1. A strong machete.
  2. A sharp sword.
  3. A good knife.

To me, the obvious answer is a machete, but like I said, I don't want to add content to this section incorrectly and still wanted to at least keep track of the missing piece.  (MustangBaby (talk) 00:39, February 6, 2013 (UTC))

Why have all Meg's questions been cut and pasted from Runescape's wiki page?[edit source]

Previously we were tracking Meg's questions and answers ourselves. They were in alphabetical order and were much easier to read. Now it is a huge mess.

-- Robertsmom 70.24.207.206 01:37, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Because, if you bother to read this page, you'll see that a Mod bothered to go get clarification on them for us. Therefore the information on the page is now confirmed correct. If you wish to alphabetise them... please only do so if you know what you're doing with a table and source mode, because cleaning up after people who use visual mode to edit tables they don't know what they're doing with is such a pain. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 01:42, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
Actually what I see is that the table has been cut and pasted off the actual runescape wiki.  So if I wanted that info I would look there for it.  I prefered to see the results of actual people talking to Meg.  Your condescending attitude sucks. - Robertsmom 70.24.207.206 01:45, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
So you'd prefer not to really know what is the correct answer? To have confusion and constant changing of it as people get different correct answers to what is listed? Get off your high horse and accept that sometimes, just sometimes, taking from the other wiki is acceptable, especially when the information is something that a Mod went out of their way to find out for us. Also, it wasn't a complete cut and paste. I didn't like the format of their table, and I am trying to find out how to change the column widths on this one. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 01:50, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
Thee edit that added the info came from Mod Michelle. As there is no reason to suspect foul play, we can safely use this information. Nowhere does it state that we are forbidden from using information from Jmods What I've done Ciphrius Kane Talk 01:54, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
I think for some of us taking a few breaths and reading the "be nice" and "assume good faith" guidelines are in order. I'm glad to have better (and presumed correct) data from a Mod. I can test my our experiences against that to see if it makes sense and perhaps to understand the rules for awarding Small-Huge lamps, and if there are any missing questions it gives us a lot better understanding of the game structure with which to fill in the missing pieces.Haystacks (talk) 04:15, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Why are Meg's questions no longer in alphabetical order?[edit source]

It is much harder to find what you are looking for now.  Also the choices of answers are all squished on the side.  I can't fix this. Robertsmom 70.24.207.206 01:42, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Is using ctrl+f too difficult for you? And I just copied them in the order they were on the the other wiki's page. Like to see you do such a massive edit and alphabetise them. All I see you doing right now is whinge pointlessly and make multiple edits, some of which break the rules of this wiki (see:RS:DDD), in rapid succession that you could have done in one. Thanks Kane I will try that.
Anselan- I spent an hour putting that list in alphabetical order last week fyi.  Not that I will ever be helping out here again. Grats on you for being able to cut and paste.
In case you didn't understand not everyone in the world is a professional wiki editor.  Some of us just like to help out when we can.
- Robertsmom 70.24.207.206 01:54, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
Putting information that is already onto a page into alphabetical order is easier than making a table from scratch and trying to alphabetise them according to the information in the first column of ten rows. Someone else is attempting to implement a solution that will do this automatically. And I'm nowhere near a professional editor. I gakked that table up about a dozen times trying to make it, and it's nowhere near what I wanted it to look like. As has been pointed out, that information came from a Jmod. It is confirmed correct. Isn't it better to use that, rather than rely on anecdotal evidence that isn't the same for every single person out there? Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 01:58, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
I checked the list and it looks like Mod Michelle chose to put them in order of most to fewest answers. If you check the first bunch have 10 potential answers while later down it's just 5 What I've done Ciphrius Kane Talk 02:00, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
Apologies guys. The order they are in is the order of the questions in the script files. I didn't think to alphabetise them. They should be in groups location, then in groups per skill, with the 10 answer questions first. - Mod Michelle
It's great that you did this for us, so don't worry about the ordering of them. Thanks for doing it. PS, some of the coding on your table was broken, so I fixed it. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 14:10, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
I would like to see the line between two different questions bolded, it will make differting questions and answers much much easier! (And I have no idea how to do this :( ) Thanks! Tallibear (talk) 10:26, February 6, 2013 (UTC)
I don't know how to bold the line. I have, however, added a blank row in between each question and its answers. Is that better? Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 14:19, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Something still unclear[edit source]

I remember my very first chat with meg, I remember the questions, the answers I gave, and I remember getting a medium xp lamp (presumably 1 answer correct). She asked about how to cut dense jungle, and I used the machete answer. She wanted to get into the thieves' guild, and I told her to get on Darren's good side. She then asked about enchanting swords, and I told her enchanting didn't work that way. All of these answers are listed here as Excellent, even though this page didn't even exist at the time I helped her out for the first time. I'm hoping most of my adventures will be perfect since this new information we have is coming from a Mod. This was a great improvement, but I say we do not take it for granted and watch out carefully for the results. I still think there is something we don't get here, since according to this page my first adventure was supposed to have been perfect. 187.59.100.175 07:00, February 6, 2013 (UTC)Markthorn

Finding out Meg's scoring system[edit source]

Well, after we've got the Terrible-Excellent system confrimed and taken from an official Jmod response, I suppose that all we have left to do is to figure out how is the reward we get is calculated.

We have four different rewards: small, medium, large and huge. And 5 different king of answers: terrible, bad, neutral, good and excellent.

What I have so far based on my recorded experience over the weeks:

Excellent*2+Terrible = Medium reward

Good+Neutral+Excellent = Large reward

Excellent*2+Good = Large reward

Neutral*2+Good = Large reward

Excellent*2+Good = Huge reward (huh? ><)

Good*2+Excellent = Huge reward

I'm totally confused, this doesn't make any sense (Maybe only if there's a score difference between the #1 Excellent to the #2 Excellent).. :|

Tallibear (talk) 10:25, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

So hang on, 2 Excellents + 1 Good = Large, and 2 Goods + 1 Excellent = Huge? This doesn't look right fella 187.59.100.175 18:41, February 6, 2013 (UTC)Markthorn

As I said above, there could be some randomness too. Stewbasic (talk) 19:25, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

@Markthorn - Well, don't blame the messenger! I was using my recorded questions and answers here: Talk:Meg/Questions_and_Answers with the new table we have and gathered all the details. So yes, on my first week I've given her 2 excellent and 1 good answers, and got a Large reward, but last week I've given her 2 good and 1 excellent anwers and got a Huge reward. Hence why I'm here to figure out how this thing works.
Tallibear (talk) 19:53, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

First after reading about the answer ratings, I thought you must have to choose the best answers available to you and any lower one (like choosing a good answer when you could choose an excellent one) would count as wrong. Though I have gotten a small lamp when I gave an excellent answer so that idea doesn't work. There could be a point system. For example an excellent answer gives 2 points and a terrible one gives -2 and for each reward you need at least a certain number. Or maybe the first idea wasn't entirely wrong and how many points are deducted depends on what answers are available, like a neural answer might give you minus points when you have access to better one/s. Of course I could have accidently chosen a different answer than I thought but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I have gotten:

2 excellent 1 good - large lamp
2 neutral 1 excellent - huge lamp
2 good 1 excellent - small lamp

I didn't look up the rest of my answer ratings before writing the previous part, because I figured it didn't matter, then I decided to anyway.

2 neutral 1 good - large lamp
1 good 1 excellent 1 neutral - medium lamp
3 excellent - large lamp WHAT??
2 good 1 excellent - large lamp

With the 3 excellent answers, one of them was the 2nd excellent one, so maybe I could have chosen the 1st excellent one and Tallibear's right the order of them really matters? I guess the best answer is the closet one to the top and any lower answer you choose is wrong.Izzz (talk) 22:15, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Last week I chose the top 3 excellent answers and got a huge lamp.--Izzz (talk) 00:30, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Table for quality of answers given, best available, and results received"[edit source]

(I originally posted this in the stream above but decided to split off so that I can easily find the table later.)Haystacks (talk) 03:52, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Here are my results for the past 7 weeks. The actual questions and answers are posted in the Q&A page so you are free to check them. The Two columns "Answers Given" and "Best Available" record the quality of my answer given and the quality of the best available answer I was offered: Ex=Excellent, G=Good, N=Neutral, B=Bad, T=Terrible. In both columns, the answer qualities are listed in same order as the questions were received.

Contributor Answers Given Best Available Result

One preliminary conclusion: You definitely do not have to pick the best available answer in order to "score points". In my second case, I was offered 3 Excellent answers and choose two Good and one Neutral, and I still got a Medium lamp. Similar results in the last case. In my third case, I chose two Good and one Excellent answers vs. a best available three Excellent answers (so only one answer was "best") and I received a Large lamp.

Here's some additional data culled from this page. I only recorded the answers given, not the choices, so the table is incomplete. You all are welcome to add your "best available" info if you have it. Note: take the data below with a grain of salt; I may have made errors in copying.

One last comment: I would not be at all surprised if there were an element of randomness to this, including the possiblity that you get poor results with the best advice or even better than expected results with poor advice. After all, that happens in real life and in the game all the time. Has anyone found out from a Jagex mod whether or not there's any element of chance? Haystacks (talk) 03:33, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

These tables look great, Hay! Sadly, I did not record the other options I got at all, so that "Best available" column will be empty for me, though I'll start recording all the options starting next week. Tallibear (talk) 13:59, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
There is definitely a great deal of random variability in the rewards. I gave 3 excellent answers last week and only got a medium lamp when she returned today. Shogo Yahagi (talk) 04:09, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

I'll add my own table :P It seems like the first question will always have two different excellent while the other 2 have only one definite excellent answer. When I picked the top excellent in week 10 I still got a Large lamp. Anyone has any idea what's going on? :( Tallibear (talk) 10:35, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Hi all, I've gotten confirmation from Mod Raven about Meg. Your advice basically acts as a skill boost to Meg's skills. Giving an excellent answer is always better, however, Meg can still fail the mission if her skill levels weren't high enough in the first place. You'll get at least a medium lamp if this is the case. - Mod Michelle
Thanks for all your help Mod Michelle! I suppose our work here is done! We already have the ability to give her the best answers, all we have is coming back to her every week and say hi. I won't be visiting the talk page again then, thanks all! <3 Tallibear (talk) 20:28, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

RE-it on the determinism idea[edit source]

Answered all "excellent" results for a medium lamp, not really sure how the system works, but it seems like there are either many variables, or a random element. I know for a fact meg sucks so why should i expect different. Edit-Ahh sorry havent researched the system since I saw the old page, that makes sense, shouldnt complain with free lamps anyway. Thanks you —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.128.66.199 (talk).

Your answers only boost Meg's own skills. If she's not good enough for the week's adventures, even three excellent answers won't be of much use to her. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 02:14, March 20, 2013 (UTC)
I've noticed that, for me at least, it seems to go in a pattern of Huge Lamp, followed by Medium, then Huge again, then Medium, etc. Each time I did give the 'excellent' answers, so maybe there's some sort of cap that prevents you getting huge lamps twice in a row. Sundays211 (talk) 09:07, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
Last Wednesday and the Wednesday before that I both received a Huge lamp; which'd blow that theory out of the water... IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 09:17, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
I have the same. But I also don't always have the option to give excellent answers :-/ . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium. Twice a week Meg[edit source]

Last week I got the message that Meg was back twice, also I got the reward twice.

I really don't know what I did precisely to have that happen. I know I switched worlds or relogged or something between both encounters, maybe it was just entering and leaving the clan citadel.

I did the hopping/relogging almost immediately after I got the first reward from Meg, which I got immediately after logging in the first time. Maybe it has something to do with logging in twice in the same minute? Or even twice in the same minute being 00:00 UTC?

This might be interesting to find out :)

I'd suggest reporting this as a bug to Jagex. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 13:10, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
Did you re-answer her questions after the first reward? Was it a Tuesday/Wednesday? Because if you did, it sounds like you logged in at 11:59 Tuesday and got last weeks reward, answered the questions, then it reset at 00:00 Wednesday and you got this weeks reward. If you didn't answer the questions though or it wasn't Tuesday/Wednesday, then it definitely should be reported as a bug. 04ismailjj6 (talk) 18:18, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

Asking Meg, option 2. "How are you?"[edit source]

Do players get personalized dialogue when asking this question to Meg? I get the response, "I'm good thanks to you. I've just joined the Champions Guild so I think I'm getting good at this. I always wanted to be an adventurer, and now - thanks to you - I am."

Does anyone get a different answer?

Her examines[edit source]

Where did they come from? Right now at ports, mine is "An adventurer that makes you just a little bit proud." Where did the other examines appear in game? Is it quests? --Jlun2 (talk) 05:26, July 4, 2017 (UTC)

reward list incomplete[edit source]

i just received something that is not mentioned in the reward section - a unstable air rune. it was given to me together with a medium xp lamp (slayer) and 0 coins (the reward window mentioned exactly this way 'You receive an XP lamp and Unstable air rune from the chest and 0 coins.'). Doublejk2000 (talk) 07:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

quick addition. yes i have fully unlocked the hub track. but on neither here nor on the wythien page it is mentioned that unstable air runes are a possible reward.Doublejk2000 (talk) 07:42, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
This is still likely from the same drop as the rest of the Wythien items. Either the Wythien drop tables are incomplete, or it actually uses the Motherlode Maw's drop table. I've had numerous rewards from Meg that do appear on Motherlode Maw article, but not on Wythien's, but it was somewhat confirmed back in the day that Meg specifically uses Wythien's drop table. I don't want to make any edits based on this, though, since it's still fairly uncertain information to me. Thingummywut (talk) 19:36, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

Adventurer In Training Wythien Rewards?[edit source]

Does anyone have any idea of what the "chance" is that Meg's reward casket will roll on Wythien's drop table? I've had the hub track complete since it was released and haven't gotten a single Wythien item roll from helping Meg. Pet cat (purple) chathead.png WiggleCat Meow! 19:22, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

Strange to not have a single one. I'd estimetate I've gotten it around 10 times in the same timespan. Certainly doesn't feel very rare to me. Thingummywut (talk) 02:34, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
