Not personally, but my friend logged out and back in today after playing for 6 hours. Wires77 02:38, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
- It has been confirmed, yes. I also will vouch for the 6 hour logout. I am curious, though, as to why it does this? The reason stated on the page's trivia isn't clear. (I do not know this to be fully accurate, even if it is true.) Don't think it should be there if we aren't absolutely certain of the reason behind the logout...
- Also, I've been kicked off after a no-lobby gameplay session twice before. I don't believe logging out to the lobby/switching worlds would reset the timer? Either way, I find that it would be useful to add whichever facts to this page. Just need assurance. ~Rachel 02:17, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
Combat logouts[edit source]
It seems like if you lose your connection while in combat, you are logged out quicker than 5 minutes. Perhaps the older 90 second logout is used here, or some other time interval like 60 seconds. That's been my experience, as I've lost my connection during combat where I'd likely die if I was stuck in combat for another 5 minutes, like fighting dangerous dragons.
If others can confirm this, we can add this to the article. Inelcirc 22:28, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
I can confirm it after 6hours pking without any break, it just logged me out while i was standing in wildy (im sure it wasnt d/c or something). i just logged in back.
As stated by the first person: the combat logout timer is faster. I've done a lot of combat (max melee) and whenever I get disconnected, I can log back in very near instantly (sometimes having to wait about a minute). As for the person who mentioned being forced to logout: I've had it happen to me several times. Dsctatom 23:37, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
