Talk:List of Gnomecopter Tours player NPCs
I think this article should be generalised to include all "spoof" player NPCs, so that R4ng3rno0b889 can be included. The "I like m0m VfD" established that these do not deserve individual articles - actually they are non-interactive scenery more than NPCs, since players cannot interact with them at all. Yet the consensus is to document them and keep them in a list.
This article should have only one sortable table, with columns including:
- Combat level
- Examine text
- Geographical location
- When seen (e.g. quest cutscene)
This would mean moving the article to something like "List of spoof players", and merging all the tables. I am not going ahead and doing this myself in case other people would prefer a different solution. Anyone care to offer input? Leevclarke talk 15:31, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- OK, a more general article does now exist at Player spoof, which includes R4ng3rno0b889 and a couple of others. That article is very short, and I think that really all of these pseudo-player NPCs should be in one article, in the format that is in use here. There's great progress being made. :-) Leevclarke talk 21:08, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Cowkiller and rangernoob are the first player NPCs if I remember correctly, so I believe they're notable enough for their own article. Elfinlocks is also notable as she appears in at least 3 "areas" or cutscenes. Dunno, I think we can merge the rest of the Bank Robbery spoofs into List of Draynor Robbery player NPCs, they're really not very notable.earth(t) 21:25, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I remember the debate when the Gnomecopters originally came out and I was in fact the anon IP that created this page. The concensus seemed to be that nearly all of the player NPCs found within weren't notable enough to merit their own pages but there were some player NPCs that, due to multiple or unique inclusion (such as Elfinlocks), that they merited their own article. I personally think that the pages should be kept seperate since a well developped Player spoof article combined with this massive list would just lead to a too large and unweildy article. However, perhaps this page could be renamed List of Player Spoofs with the Gnomecopter Tours player NPCs representing (the largest) subsection.--Diberville 14:31, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Barring any more discussion on this topic, I'll remove the suggestion that this article should be moved to Player spoof. My rationale for ending this suggestion is due to the fact that this article is already huge by itself, and indeed would be a likely candidate for breaking into different parts due to its huge size.
As for other non-Gnomecopter player spoofs... there are a few others in the game but not nearly as extensive as is found with the Gnomecopters. I would strongly recommend that those be kept separate and organized in a different fashion. Certainly don't overwhelm that article to drown out other player spoofs that really are something noteworthy as opposed to most of these "players" that are mostly in-game jokes. --Robert Horning 17:42, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
I apreciate all the effort that's been put into this article, but I don't think it deserves its own page,I think it should be deleted, with the more important NPCs,(Coolmom227 and such) on the Gnomecopters page. -

- Can you give me a standard which would define which of these NPCs are notable and which are not? The reason for this page to exist is so this sort of information doesn't overwhelm the main article that it would be merged into, and due to the fact that that there are multiple ways that you can come across this information. None of these NPCs are notable enough to justify their own pages, although as a group they certainly are interesting and could be used to explore the game in a little more detail showing the humor that Jagex developers sometimes have. --Robert Horning 19:43, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
