Not sure what is meant with this[edit source]

An anon added the following:

If the new Charge Drain Reduction has not been activated, junk refiners will require a full bar +1 additional charge. In order to make it so the refiner will complete all components in one activation, Charge Drain Reduction must be researched, and an additional level must be completed.

For instance at level 102 a player has the ability to make 19 components, however has to make 18 then one more. After activation of Charge Drain Reduction, this does not change. However, once the player levels up to level 103, the player will obtain the ability to make all 19 components with only one activation of the refiner if the research has been completed.

I've corrected some stuff, but I don't know what it means really. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 12:31, March 8, 2017 (UTC)

First reaction was ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but after some deciphering I think he is talking about this oversight by Jagex. He also throws in some stuff about charge drain reduction which seems to me to be irrelevant.

What confused me was the bit saying that you need to "activate" the Charge Drain Reduction, but as far as I know, you discover the blueprint and that's it, I'm not sure what they meant by activating. :S Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 13:27, March 8, 2017 (UTC)
I think in this case they are using "activating" to mean doing that little minigame thing to research the blueprint. Mining.pngMoontemptMithril bar.png 14:14, March 8, 2017 (UTC)

Number Of Components[edit source]

I'm level 68 invention and only get 14 components out of a junk refiner. I think the chart might be incorrect. WiggleCat (talk) 01:11, September 13, 2018 (UTC)

At level 70 invention I now receive 15 refined components for every junk refiner I use. I didn't at level 69. I'll update again once the number increases to 16 so we can get some idea of what the data on the chart should actually show. WiggleCat (talk) 02:09, September 16, 2018 (UTC)

At level 71 I'm still getting 15 components. I'm pretty sure it's 14 from 60-69, 15 from 70-79, etc. I'm unsure of how to confirm this but the current data is definitely incorrect. WiggleCat (talk) 02:59, September 26, 2018 (UTC)

I've confirmed my suspicion that you begin crafting 17 refined components at level 90 invention, and confirmed crafting 18 at level 100 a few weeks ago through the use of an extreme invention potion. I'm not sure why the original chart was so inaccurate and scrambled, but I'm almost entirely sure I've fixed it now. I've confirmed (while leveling up) the number of components you receive from 22 onward, and I can't imagine 110 breaks the '+1 refined component every 10 levels' pattern. All that's left is to find out if 120 gives you 19 components or 20, since the yield increases by one for every tenth level. Since you can't pot to 120 I'll have to go the long way. If anyone already has 120 invention feel free to comment here and let me (us?) know whether you receive 19 or 20 refined components for every junk refiner. Confirmed 20 components @ 120 inv. I'll update page. RAf (talk) 03:01, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
