i think ham members dont want to destroy elves either.

The meaning of H.A.M.[edit source]

Does anyone else think that H.A.M. is a parody/satire of the B.N.P.? Leevclarke 20:53, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

It probably is, but who doesn't love ham?Mrperson777 01:57, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I love ham, I love H.A.M... As for the BNP, well I will leave it to you to decide. Leevclarke 01:22, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
so you love H.A.M even though they are evil racist extremists? how sad... --Gilded clock (flatpack).png--Tealclocktalk 23:43, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Just looking out for my own kind, i.e. humans.  :-p Leevclarke 05:39, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Meh, I like ham, but I hate the group, one, cause they're racist cultist extremists, and two, they give a noble pork product a bad name! They're fun to pickpocket, though. Clue scrolls from pickpocketing for the win. Too bad we can't pick lvl 2 or 3 from something, though. -- 06:13, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

"Evil"[edit source]

Perhaps related to discussion above, I think it's important to keep words like "evil" and "racist" out of articles about H.A.M. These are stigmatic buzzwords that invoke knee-jerk reactions. Certainly Sigmund is not very nice (possibly he could be classified as an extremist), but that doesn't mean the organisation is evil. Maybe they just have different ideals to yours. :-p See RuneScape:Neutral point of view

I have also removed from the article the claim that H.A.M. is based on the KKK, as I don't think it is. Jagex is a UK company; it may be a satire of the BNP, but surely the KKK is very unlikely. Leevclarke talk Max_logo_mini.png bulldog_puppy.png 05:45, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

I know that the runescape wiki is neutral point of view, but it seems very controversial. It even says in the artical "Although they are Saradominists, their ethics have been the subject of much controversy, as they have been known to kidnap, steal, torture, and murder to accomplish their goal." Would you consider that neutral? --Gilded clock (flatpack).png--Tealclocktalk 05:08, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
A fair point. However, the fact that members have been known to kidnap, steal, torture and murder is evidence, whereas referring to the organisation as a whole as "evil" is a conclusion. Readers should draw their own conclusions based on evidence presented in the article - that's really the principle behind the Neutral point of view policy. H.A.M. is already categorised under Antagonists, which is as it should be, and I think this is enough. Am I taking this too seriously? :-D Leevclarke talk Max_logo_mini.png bulldog_puppy.png 10:13, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough, and your not really taking it too seriously.Gilded clock (flatpack).png--Tealclocktalk23:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh yea, and about your mark about not calling it a cult, Jagex makes several refrences in game that its a cult, so I am pretty sure its ok to call it a cult. Gilded clock (flatpack).png--Tealclocktalk00:22, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
OK, fair enough. Hopefully the introduction to the article has reached the right balance. I am going to leave this article alone now, I think I made my point well enough. :-D Leevclarke talk Max_logo_mini.png bulldog_puppy.png 04:06, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
i think they are supposed to be the kkk or somthing
