What?? Why varies 'combat levels'? -.- How the peoples will have an idea of how the monster? Needs a complet list. Lukks3 01:44, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
since the skill has only been out for a short amount of time, not every possible combat level will be known, plus the way the combat level is calculated isn't known (is it related to the combat levels of the players? The number of players? The players dungeoneering levels?) so a complete list might not even be possible. --126.96.36.199 03:40, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
Single player[edit source]
Just fought in single player mode. Only one carcass.--Dionisio 02:10, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
What's with the "drops" section? The monster doesn't drop anything! A player is rewarded at the end of the raid with an item! This needs editing.
- I know he dosn't technically 'drop' anything, but the reward item tables appear to be unique to each individual boss - ie, fighting one boss will yield a item which another boss might not drop. 188.8.131.52 10:48, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Would like to see an update on its weakness. It says melee, but I was curious if someone can narrow it down to slash/stab/crush. Because even with melee, I had trouble with a duo.
This is the only boss in which ive had to ditch a dungeon completely. A duo with a lvl 98 and myself lvl 124 had a lvl 333 boss in which we tried twice with full food and could only get it to 20% hp before one of us dieing. This was on floor 2... :(
The things rediculous, and in some cases like above not balanced yet. :( 184.108.40.206 11:18, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
I just soloed a lvl 202 one very easily (ate 1-2 foods), being 120 cbt p2p. After killing a few of em, I'm pretty sure that his weekness would be crush. Even tho i did not try stab, there was a big differance between slash and crush, even tho my wepond ( gorgonite battleaxe) is made for slash, the damage with crush was mainly double and a lot more accurate :D (i'll change melee for crush in weekness for now) Jonaboy 02:17, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
Having done a few of these level 248 solo, I can concur that the weakness is crush. I've used both an argonite 2h and a promethium spear. However, wearing melee armour I've actually taken less damage by praying Protect from Ranged rather then Protect from Magic. I took fewer hits and used less food.
Familiar Blocks Corpse?[edit source]
I was just curious if anyone knew/ could find out about whether or not familiars can block the second corpse if all but one player leaves the party. I would try to find out, but I'm soloing right now. Dot145 15:54, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Combat Level of the Gluttonous behemoth[edit source]
The Combat Level can also be 31.
"The only way to kill it is by standing between the behemoth and its food sources."
This is not entirely true, as I have just solo'd a lvl 29 without standing between the behemoth and its food. This may be due to a glitch, but also I have a high combat level compared to it. Do 29's even appear to 64's? Either way, I got it to half, it ate, then I kept hitting high, and it didn't eat afterward, and it died. If this is a glitch tell me/Jagex. Confirmation: I did not once step in between the behemoth and his food. Cromulon Fury 18:20, March 22, 2011 (UTC) Oh right, I had completely ignored the trivia in a mad rush to alert the Wiki on my findings. I had only just seen this "glitch" when I said there. Continue as before.
On that note, I have noticed you have no log for the possibility, I have seen level 25 and 29 Gluttonous Behemoths.
PS The level 25 did the same glitch as the previously mentioned glitched 29. Cromulon Fury 18:48, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
New Combat Levels[edit source]
Please don't revert to the old combat levels. They are now wrong as Jagex has reduced their HP.
