Weakness[edit source]

Whats its weakness? Melee is not a weakness, its either crush, stab, or slash. I'd be willing to give a 20m reward for whoever can find this out, because I plan on training 3 99s there so I really need to know!

Life/Unlife[edit source]

This article states that ghouls are alive but is in Category:Undead... Is there a reason for that? Air Wave icon.pngA.C.Amulet of nature.png 01:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Aren't they dead but just controlled by magic? White partyhat old.png C Teng talk 00:57, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
No, they're "the savage remnants of a society." Apparently they are a separate species. --Canifis 07:09, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

Ghoul other drops[edit source]

I just recieved a crimson charm as a drop from a ghoul kill. This can be added to the list of other drops. Oogla 20:43, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Done. You know, next time, you can just add it yourself. White partyhat old.png C Teng talk 21:32, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Ghouls also drop lamp pieces for the genie lamps..  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Daneypear (talk) on 09:25, June 19, 2013.

Proof[edit source]

Is there any proof that holy books are its weakness?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JaydenB (talk) on 20:37, 1 July 2009.

False information[edit source]

The article states that ghouls can be found in the chaos tunnels; this, however, is false. I'm going to go ahead and edit it out.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 04:18, 24 July 2009.

Origin[edit source]

Where does it state that ghouls are remnants from some dead society that descended into madness? I don't see any evidence of a society in the locations where they are, and they may also be what is known as a "Virus Zombie", or a person that becomes infected with a virus that turns them into rotting, flesh eating animals. This wouldn't technically count as undead, as they still have somewhat of a brain and an (extremely limited) thought process (which, in this case, is eat flesh)  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wrathanet (talk) on 01:56, 2 November 2009.

This info comes from the RuneScape Knowledge base: 'Ghouls are the savage remnants of a society that fell, many centuries ago, into eating their dead.' [1] Inelcirc 15:19, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

Weakness[edit source]

Melee is not a weakness; the ghoul is probably weakest to one of the three melee styles. Is it stab, slash or crush?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 09:00, 10 November 2009.

Charms Drops[edit source]

I had these as a slayer assignment, and I didn't exactly find the same results as what we have currently for percentages of charm drops. 68% gold charms, and 14% no charm drops is simply not true. I had 80 ghouls for my assignment, and in those 80 I found 15 gold and 1 green charm. I think our data has been scewed somehow. 00:44, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

We have a major FAIL on our hands... everyone go look at the Gold Charm section. CPLstone 22:44, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Item drop rates[edit source]

I just finished my task of 62 ghouls. Here's a rough of my data (I have done the same on the banshee and killerwatt pages).

Drop Incidence
1 bones 52
1 gold charm and 1 bones 10
Kills 62

I'd already gotten the ghoul bone for the Rag and Bone Man, so I don't have the incidence rates for that. I also didn't get a rune full helm or a law talisman this time, though I have gotten law talismans from ghouls before. Anyways, feel free to format this or add to it. --Canifis 07:40, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

Update: I just realised that I had a clue scroll in my bank. Thus, the above data should not be construed as a bunch of negatives on clue scrolls. --Canifis 02:08, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

The article states that there is 55% chance of getting a charm,

however from my experience (200 ghouls killed), this is only 15-20%?

Maybe false info?

Just add your kills to the charm log because it is all taken form info put in by people.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 07:51, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

NPOV needed for Slayer task tips section[edit source]

The section needs to be rewritten for neutral point of view. Currently as written it is a rant against getting ghouls as a slayer task rather than useful tips on slaying ghouls. Inelcirc 15:15, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

Fixed....that whole section was useless 16px‎AtlandyBeer.png 15:19, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

Charms[edit source]

the chart clearly shows about 1/5 kills with gold charm drop and the article says 1/4 and I seem to be getting like 1/7 or less of a chance. Qazwsx753421 00:40, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Aggro[edit source]

It looks like they have individual aggro areas or ranges which do not move.  They do not assist each other. If hit from outside their aggro range, they will not aggro but instead continue idle pathing. This is true even if they were already attacking you. If you stand in their aggro range and kill them for long enough they will become neutral, only attacking when provoked..

The above could be added, but I'm not entirely sure if it's correct/super obvious for some of it  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 01:28, September 14, 2014 (UTC).

Mimic kill token[edit source]

Got a Mimic Kill Token Drop off one of my tasks, It's not on the Wiki for either the token or the Ghouls for this drop, looking on the Token wiki the only Mob described as dropping them are Gargoyles, so this surely needs added as very rare or atleast just edited originally to all monsters.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2A02:C7F:6A07:FD00:2563:BC29:F514:1276 (talk) on 15:29, 27 February 2018.

I've added the token to the ghoul's droptable. :) Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 09:33, March 1, 2018 (UTC)
