Untitled[edit source]

i heard a rumor that fruitfall uses up a summoning point every time you cast it...i hope this isnt true...can someone please tell me? 13:06, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

  • Of course it does. It's a special move after all. Anyways, it uses 6 points, not just one. --Swordoftime1 04:16, January 5, 2010 (UTC)
It uses 6 points on the special bar, it does not cost any summoning points, meaning if you start with 69/69 summoning, casting it won't change anything. Its Alex Pan 18:44, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Why Doesn't The Scroll Work?[edit source]

Sometimes the fruitfall scroll doesn't work - in fact, a lot. Does anyone know if there are specific conditions under which the scroll doesn't work? Its Alex Pan 18:44, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

It seems to be dependent on the amount of light available. The only place that crosses my mind where this occurs is in the Zamorak section of the Godwars dungeon. The evil corrupting the air and thereby darkening the area seems to affect the fruit bat's search for fruit so it returns with nothing. Not sure whether or not there is an actual reason for this.. How many scrolls needed to last the duration of 1 pouch?[edit source]

Any idea how many fruitfall scrolls are needed per pouch if you're doing nothing but casting fruitfall/fly with no summoning potions? How many with potions and skipping fly? 03:16, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

Kind of late response on this, but I can get through, pretty reliably, 200 scrolls per pouch. That's without using pots to restore the special move points or anything--just casting fruitfall over and over and over, no other actions with the bat. 08:50, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

Some data on fruitfall[edit source]

I just finished getting rid of a chunk of fruitfall scrolls by casting it over and over and over. I started keeping track at 450 and ended up with 364 papayas, 68 oranges, 68 lemons, 67 pineapples, 64 limes. Already had a stack of bananas in my bank that I'd forgotten about, so I don't know how many bananas I got. At current (July 4th 2011) market prices, that's 449,176 from papayas, 16,388 from oranges, 1,972 from lemons, 4,757 from pineapples, and 8,320 from limes for a total of 480,613 gold at current market prices (average 1068.02889 per scroll). Fruitfall scrolls are cuttently 282 gold, so each scroll would have yielded an average profit of 786.02889 gold if bought on the grand exchange.

As the total cost of a fruit bat pouch is 3,319 gold as of typing this, and one pouch yields ten scrolls, then discounting the price of a pouch to summon, making your own scrolls (buying all ingredients) yields 7,361.2889 gold profit.

If you're doing summoning, making fruit bats is therefore a very good way to actually make a profit from the otherwise almost complete money-sink of a skill. About 450 scrolls made about 480k at current market prices (~450k from papayas alone). If you've got a bunch of scrolls/pouches saved up, go ahead and spend some time with fruitfall. Keep about one pouch per 200 scrolls if you intend to be using the scrolls up quickly and will be fairly attentive. Have a few extra pouches just in case. 19:06, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

After using 919 Fruitfall scrolls today, and constantly using "Fly" in Karamja whenever the special bar was recovering, I ended with 499 bananas, 488 oranges, 477 pineapples, 738 papaya, 475 lemons and 466 limes. I received NO Watermelons nor Coconuts, even though both are stated in the Fruitfall section. Afaik coconuts are gotten rarely if the Fruit bat forages, and watermelon seeds are gotten like that as well. I suggest removing coconuts and watermelons from that section. 19:22, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

Updated with new information[edit source]

"fly" no longer works, the familiar leaves for a second or 2, and then returns empty handed. I have tried hundreds of times, and moved around Karamja, not a single fruit. I have heard others confirm this is the case, perhaps that should be added, as currently it promises unlimited timer, 8 seconds of wait, and fruit, which is all untrue currently.
