How can I edit the Skill Training Guides banner, it is missing the Fletching training guide and the Summoning training guide --Dan2384 18:11, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Alternative lvl 40 (Free except for initial for seeds)[edit source]

Im not sure on how to use a wiki but all I ask is that whoever posts this gives me the credit. You can contact me at [email protected]

I have a new way to train Fletching and Woodcutting at increased rates that involves farming and Stealing Creation. I went from level 40 to level 55 fletching with it in less than 2 hours, and I only spent money on a willow seed.

Requirements:

40 Fletching 40 Woodcutting 30 Farming

Ability to get enough points for a proto tool from Stealing creation. Having more than one would be helpful.

The guts:

Plant a willow tree in the allotment near Varrock castle, and let it grow. When its done growing, weild a Sacred Clay hatchet and have a Sacred Clay knife in your inventory. This leaves 27 slots to get willow logs. Cut the logs into longbows and bank them at the east bank.

It took me 5 minutes for one trip averaged over 10 trips.

For every trip you receive:

3645 Woodcutting exp 2800 Fletching exp

That seems pretty good to me, considering its fast, and relatively free, other than the cost of the willow seed.

crossbow stocks?[edit source]

They give slightly more exp than a longbow (if you don't string it) which really adds up when your making hundreds of them. I think it should be mentioned in the article since not much people string the bows at low levels the high amount of willow longbows (u) in ge shows that not much people string them. Do you think its worth it to make crossbow stocks for lower level logs?--Moneypony 16:25, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

No. Making longbows (u) gives significantly more experience thank making a stock, see table:
Wood Experience per
Longbow (u) Stock
Normal 10 6
Oak 16.5 16
Willow 41.5 22
Maple 58.3 32
Yew 75 50
(Ignoring teak, mahogany and magic, as they're only used for one.) Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 17:02, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Making money by Maple bows?[edit source]

The article states that making maple bows is a slightly profitable way to get 99 fletch, and states that maple logs are 64 each and that bows(u) sells for 30 each. This doesn't make sense to me?

I want to say this about training fletching.

If you buy maple logs (30 gp up to 7 november 2009) and you fletch them, you can sell the maple longbow (u) for 66 gp (up to 7 november 2009), that is a profit of 36 gp, one inventory is 972 gp of profit, and you are earning a lot of fletching experience.

Greetings

I resolved the price thing on 23/03/2010, it now makes more sense and prices in that part of the article should now update if the item's price is updated.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.153.84.0 (talk) on 23:07, 22 March 2010.

It also says right now that maple longbows (u) are very hard to sell. As of now (May 2010)- all month they have been selling immediately for me on the GE. Maybe the article should no longer say this? ----69.76.29.4 01:24, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Levels 55 - 70:[edit source]

Tables at the bottom dont add any new information, should we remove them.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.153.84.0 (talk) on 23:12, 22 March 2010.

Wrong prices and xp/h[edit source]

"Thus, cutting yew longbows (u), gives about 180k fletching per hour at a cost of 115k per hour"

"Cutting magic longbows (u) gives around 135k fletching xp per hour at a loss of around 110k per hour"

This definitely isn't right. Could someone please update it with the right information?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 138.217.118.253 (talk).

Broad arrows[edit source]

With the recent drop in price of headless arrows, from Glacors drops I presume, they are just under 6gp/xp.

Making them break even if you can earn just over 2m per hour and offering over 500k exp per hour.

Just thought I would leave this info here as I just updated the page with the new prices.JoeDaStudd 15:53, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

xp per gp[edit source]

Can someone add xp per gp to this please? I don't know how to do it myself. --Izzz (talk) 07:21, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

Ascension bolts[edit source]

Considered removing this section seeing as broad bolts are more xp/hr and cheaper, but kept and calculated the loss per hour of both, they'll stay in the same ratio so if asc bolts ever get cheaper, it will show. Fixed lots of inconsistencies between the two as well. I may be adding xp rates with darts as I remember them being fast as well. AFKeying (talk) 08:48, August 30, 2013 (UTC)
