ummm hey i dont know but now with the update max would not be 18? with a fire or air staff the magic damage % would be 10 then it is 1.6 and 16+1.6= 17.6 and rounded 18 but im not quite sure
Is there any proof that the prayer actually does have this effect? If so, tell me, please. - Rangedwhip

Mystic Might - Rangedwhip
Only visible boosts and special staves increase spell max hits.17:09, December 19, 2009 (UTC)
I thought this article was somehow misleading. - Rangedwhip
Mystic Might doesen't increase the max damage. Directly from the Mystic Might Page:
"Note that this bonus only affects your magic accuracy and defence. It does not increase your magic level"
It does not increase your magic level and max damage only increasbe by either the 10% staff or by increasing your magic level e.g drinking magic potion,
", and then train their Constitution level before player-killing." Irrelevant.
Boosted F2P damage[edit source]
The figure of 198 was obtained theoretically and mathematically:
fire blast: 160
Mind bomb +9%
Blast necklace: +10%
Gravite staff: +5%
160 + 24%= 198.4, round to 198
This figure should be manually verivied and if found to be incorrect, corrected here and on the magic page staff page and necklage page

The reason the figure does not match the verified f2p max hit of 200 is because damage boosts from boosted magic levels are applied after equipment boosts. Thus:
160 * 1.15 (from staff and necklace) = 184
184 * 1.09 (from wizard mind bomb) = 200.56 (or 200 in-game)

Okay? Who wrote this? "This may be the biggest goal for F2P players as it is a very high hitting spell. The only drawback is that the robes in F2P do not provide much defence."
This page is about the SPELL FIreblast not goals of F2p players. Then it make and irrelevant statement about f2p robes. sentence is Fireblast, it make absolutely no sense of saying that the drawbacks of this spell is that robes in f2p does not provide defense. How does the bonuses of a equipments be a drawback of a spell? Cost of the runes can be the drawback not some robes that have nothing to do with the spell. Stop adding unneeded statements to articles just to make it longer.
