New Weapon and shield?[edit source]

Are the weapon and shield rewards fomr the quest?

I've finished it and talked to osman and the emir and everyone but I'm not getting anything. 16:32, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

Head back to dung beetle cave. Slice some open and they should drop them. --Goodison Goomba (talk) 16:38, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

Trivia?[edit source]

"Diamond in the Rough" may be talking about Aladdin.

there are a lot of music tracks unlocked and someone needs to make a list of them. Extrafruit (talk) 11:11, September 27, 2012 (UTC)

Search for the Rest of Masks of the Desert Gods[edit source]

Okay, we know where to find the masks of Apmeken and Scabaras, and logically we can expect there is a Het Mask and a Crondis Mask. The Het mask, I believe could be found around Al-Kharid, as it has been linked to Het (the Het Statue, and the myth of the Kharid-ib has Het in it). Crondis, being a crocodile, would logically be in Ullek, as Crondis originated from the swamps of Ullek, either that or south of the River Elid.

The Scabaras Mask and the Apmeken Mask both show up in quick chat. The Het Mask and Crondis Mask don't, at least not yet. While this isn't irrefutable, it does seem like pretty strong evidence that Het and Crondis' masks have yet to be released, and may appear in the future, perhaps when a quest themed around one or both of them is released. 06:25, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

Fight[edit source]

"During the fight with Apep and Heru, despite the weapon you are using and your combat stats, the maximum damage you can do to them is 50, so bringing a fast weapon will speed up the battle."

This is incorrect as I did 83 damage on Apep with my goliath gloves. Technically it was the special of the gloves that activated and did it, but still means that 50 is not the maximum!D305 (talk) 19:57, September 27, 2012 (UTC

Bonus Areas[edit source]

I was able to access the mining area after the quest, and got 1k bonus from mining suit. I was unable though to find the agility area even with matching up the pictures with where the monkey colony is. Do you need to have completed Do No Evil in order to see the agility bonus area? Since on my map there is no monkey colony yet. Pterok (talk) 22:17, September 27, 2012 (UTC)

I found it and I've completed Do No Evil, so I suppose it is a requirement.

Also, you need 80 agility for it, not sure if that would make a difference in it showing up. D305 (talk) 00:23, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

I've added the Apmeken's Tomb to the Hidden Rewards; yes it does require Do No Evil but also Diamond in the Rough.. I feel it belongs on both at least. Emm11993 (talk)

Leela Returning to Senliten[edit source]

It appears that if you complete the quest and Leela is already at Senliten, she returns to Senliten at the end of the quest, indicating that "we're doing actual good there." However, Diamond in the Rough appears to now be a prerequisite for Missing My Mummy (and Contact!), so basically unless you had completed Missing My Mummy before the release of the quest this is impossible for anyone to get.

I think this should be added to Trivia, but I don't have a screenshot or reference to back up my claim, since I didn't think to take a snapshot of this at the end of the quest. RelmKisaragi (talk) 22:11, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

Someone removed information of the Apmeken thing. 15:58, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

Title reference[edit source]

This quest may be named after the song of the same name, but there are multiple artists/bands who have a single with that name (Anthony Hamilton, john prine and the bands Airbourne and avenged sevenfold being some examples), and since I can't find out which one used the title first, I'm not sure which one to add to the trivia. 17:55, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

If that's the case, you don't add any of them. MolMan 17:56, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

Apep and Heru Inspiration[edit source]

I strongly believe that Apep and Heru may have been inspired by Logos and Ormi of Final Fantasy X-II.

One short, stout, and dim. (Both wielding a large shield.)

One tall, slim, and intelligent.

Both pairs serve their respective mistresses. 04:58, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Quest Number[edit source]

I don't know the how manieth quest this was, but definetely not the second one. My contributionsTHARKONMy adventurer's log 21:10, January 3, 2013 (UTC)

Some undertones after getting to the dung bettle area in the quest[edit source]

What do you guys think about the NPC (stating in the dark) something like this.. "I think I feel a torch!" "OH it isnt a torch!", "I am so sorry about that.." and before escaping, asking the adventurer to not reveal what occurred in the dung bettle area..

I googled it and no one said anything about it.. I figured I'd point it out. 06:42, August 3, 2014 (UTC)

Aladdin reference?[edit source]

Could someone please add an explanation for how the quest references Disney's Aladdin, as it says in the Trivia? Cheerzzz. Ankh.png Ankhra Talk 22:59, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

Eagle Jump[edit source]

When I did the quest, it said "parrot drop". Harmonex (talk) 21:56, June 5, 2017 (UTC)
