Untitled[edit source]

Ok done, that took some time to write!

There's bound to be a few broken links in there.

Can someone look at it in another resolution other than 800x600 to see if it looks ok? 800x600 is alright but the smoke diamond section needs pushing about a bit maybe.

For me, it now looks OK in all views except 800x600 in Firefox. Woodcutting-icon.pngHyenastetalk 23:33, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Looks ok in Internet explorer at 800x600, doesn't look so good at same res in firefox. Still think we need a break all tag after Fareed, otherwise is sort of ok. Maybe remove the safe-spot image too, it's just messing things up. --Eucarya 23:37, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
The safe spot does cause problems but it's a useful picture. On the other hand, the altar picture causes some problems and is not essential. I don't see a need for a break all after Fareed but it probably couldn't hurt. Woodcutting-icon.pngHyenastetalk 23:42, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
I'll play with it tomorrow, i'm off to bed for now --Eucarya 23:55, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks to all who agreed to be photographed during the quest, the victims volunteers were Eucarya (that's me), Diamond6660, Cubaan3, and Wvbattosaivw who provided the quest completion pic. --Eucarya 23:02, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Cannon[edit source]

It's possible to use a dwarf cannon to kill dessous and kamil. Tried and tested myself, I dont recommend it as your only way of killing them, but as backup for some extra damage. Both bosses took about 20 shots before dying, with me maging alongside. Sol Levante 06:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I used a combination of the cannon and magic and dessous was pretty easy. Although I did have 83 mage at the time. Basically I set up my cannon at the entrance to the graveyard, set wind surge on autocast, and set cb on auto retaliate. I then put the blood on the grave and ran back between the grave and the cannon and it took about ten spells and 7 cannonballs. Hope this helps. lucy

Featured Article?[edit source]

I nominate this for featured article status. Shadowdancer 15:02, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Rewrite?[edit source]

We should rewrite this to remove "you" and replace with third-party references, i.e. "the player". Shadowdancer 23:12, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Just looked at it, and it's going to be tougher than the usual 'you cleansing' since it uses a lot of understood you's that my browser can't pick up. Woodcutting-icon.pngHyenastetalk 23:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Made all the damis's link to damis, so now you don't have to search for the one that has it linked.Dark0805 04:48, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Please do NOT reduce the number of methods sugg4ested to deal with each of the bosses. I think its one of the article's strengths. 06:17, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Spiked boots?[edit source]

In the walkthrough there is a mention to Spiked boots, but there isn't article for it. I was wondering, did you mean Climbing boots? I didn't (and certainly won't) do the quest, but that's just a guess. EMG Blue 14:22, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Spiked boots is correct, they're climbing boots with er, spikes on them, talk to the guy in ne burthorpe who gives you the law talisman with climbing boots and an iron (?) bar in your inventory. --Eucarya Talk 14:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
It's an iron bar. Spiked climbing boots are useless for climbing on non icy surfaces. Dtm142 18:12, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
This has been fixed. And boy, was I confused...every help site I went to didn't say anything more than "see some other quest," and none of those quests said anything about them :). Endasil (Talk) @ 23:08, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Azzandra/Azzanadra[edit source]

Azzanadra is used in this article only but is the correct spelling according to Kang227. I always used Azzandra, and as far as I'm aware so does everyone else. Discuss? Or somewhere could just do the quest and prove it (I don't think the name is ever mentioned outside of the quest). JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 17:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I think the Wise Old Man of Draynor Village talks about him. You could try that. Dtm142 23:46, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

List of monsters in Desert Treasure[edit source]

As Desert Treasure is such a combat oriented quest, would it be worth it making a list of all the monsters, their levels, and tips to defeat them? it could also be put in the desert treasure article itself. this would be useful in seeing whethere you're ready to try it.--Andy mci 17:13, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

This information is already contained in the appropriate sections in the guide, but it could also be added to the respective monster articles (e.g. Dessous, Kamil, Damis, Fareed.) Dtm142 18:10, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

About the prayer thing.....[edit source]

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to complete the quest WITHOUT getting 43 prayer? I dont feel like wasting time to raise my prayer up to that level. Also, why do you need to complete the temple of ikov and have 50 firemaking? Is it possible to bypass these requirements?-- 03:28, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

You need to finish Temple of Ikov just to start (for the storylines and stuff). I think you need 50 firemaking to light the torches in Fareed's dungeon. The quest is possible without 43 prayer, but I wouldn't recommend it. Dtm142 16:46, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
It would be extremely challenging without 43 prayer, though it is not a requirement. Some form of entangle/combat spell combo would help if you didn't have the required prayer level, but it would be very challenging. --Eucarya Talk 17:55, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Doing it without 43 prayer would be near impossible. All the bosses hit over 20 with melee, and on Damis even if you got a friend to stand between you and him you would need it for defending against the other creatures.
If you use sharks and attack the bosses weakness, it is very possible. Also most of the bosses are safespottable and cannonable, making it very easy to just cannon or mage/range them to death. PLus since you won't be using prayer you won't need to use space for pots.

Ancienting[edit source]

Anyone run into the guys with ice barrage at CS a ton? *rolls eyes*

Damis[edit source]

The section on Damis is a mess, I'll try and fix it. I'll make a guide in userspace and post it here, see what people think.--Andy mci 17:25, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I thought Damis was relatively simple, he was the first one I fought, (haven't finished yet, so I'll be able to compare him to the others soon). I used prayer and prayer pots to stay alive. I wore Monk robes, used a mystic lava staff and cast Earth spells at him. Just had to make sure that I watched my prayer level. With the lvl 174 form of him, I think I went through 7 prayer pots (4 dose). As long as I watched my prayer, sipped a few times when i got low, and made sure I was attacking Damis and not the skeletons and dogs that were trying to hit me, I did jsut fine. It wasn't too hard, but I can see where the problem could come if a player isn't calm and relaxed. Smithing TIRRIANGANT (TALK) 21:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I did similair, except I wore initiate and use a whip (I couldn't be bothered buying more runes, I was pretty pissed off for dieing and losing Ahrims hood the last time). Anyway, yeah, it's pretty easy if you're calm. I was just saying the section about it was written up by several editors who only skim read the rest, and thus was a complete mess. oh well, fixed now.--Andy mci 20:17, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I thought of all of them, the hardest was getting the Ice gem. Even that wasn't too bad, I just wasn't paying attention and stupidly got myself killed fighting the Trolls (Embarrasingly, I walked in without prayer, meaning to have it on just forgot, and got hit 3 times, died so fast it wasn't funny). Over all though, the Quest wasn't as difficult as I was thinking it would be. Smithing TIRRIANGANT (TALK) 20:47, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm just wondering if it really is necessary to know about magic PKing to know how to use Entangle and Earth Wave. I mean, it's not exactly rocket science. 20:59, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Boosts for Shadow diamond[edit source]

I noticed the change about how Bandits brew won't work for unlocking the chest on the path for the shadow diamond. Is it that it won't let you even attempt to try unlocking the chest, or do you just fail? If it's just a failure, keep in mind that I had the correct thieving level required to unlock it, but it took me 47 tries to get it unlocked. If it says something about your thieving level being too low, then you're right, it doesn't help, but if all you do is fail, you've at least made an attempt to do it, and in that case it DOES help. Smithing TIRRIANGANT (TALK) 16:01, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

I've heard people say that it doesn't work at all (it won't even let you try). I haven't experienced it myself.

It's hard enough anyway if you actually have the level. If you have to spend 650gp every time you need to attempt... Dtm142 23:08, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Final Pyramid[edit source]

It seems that speed matters a lot there in order not to trigger the random traps. I first tried without running all time and failed like 5 times. Then I went there with no armor (well, essentially prayer gear : monk top and skirt, holy symbol, wolfbane dagger), with a total weight of 0kg (spotted cape, boots of lightness) and always running (inventory = 9 energy pots, 3 prayer pot, 4 monkfish, 1 super antipoison) => I triggered a trap once on third floor, then succeeded (total pots used : 3 energy(4) + 1 dose of prayer). So my advice, if you have decent prayer lvl (mine was 54) +/- agility (mine was 65, if yours is lower you'll just need more energy pot), is to go there without armor and always run and use melee protect prayer when needed. Demis[edit source]

I had trouble finding Demis the second time (having died ignominiously the first - I'm only level 69!). Is there a specific trigger?

Also what happens if you lose the diamonds?

Rich Farmbrough, 18:03 31 December 2007 (GMT).

I happened to lose Demis too, not by dying but by running too far away (he teleported away)... I came back to the area where I first found him, ran around a few minutes and he eventually reappeared. Second-abyssal-whip.pngPatheticcockroachGuthan's platebody.png(Talk) 09:55, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
It seems to be time based but it could be the particular spot. Frustrating to use resources waiting for him to appear... I just need to negotiate the pyramid now. Again higher levels make light of lvl 103 mummies... Rich Farmbrough, 13:14 2 January 2008 (GMT).

I killed Demis with fire blast and 10 prayer potions, and a few sharks when I didnt have prayer on looking for him. -- Attack Ancient Fofo Slayer 04:49, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Damis safe-spot[edit source]

I think I found a safe-spot for maging Damis. He didn't hit me or drain my prayer while I was there. I only used 2 doses of prayer potion getting him there. I'm posting a screenshot of the safe-spot so that someone else can confirm it. [[File:Damis Safespot.png|thumb|left|400px|Did it work for anyone else?]] --Nequillim 11:10, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I just killed Damis (13 August 2008) but couldn't get him to follow me to the safe spot. He just stood at the edge of the room but wouldn't come out. I heard Jagex recently got rid of the Damis safe spots. Did you just use this spot? Horsehead 17:56, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

I used the spot right next to it about three days ago, (visible on the right by the multi-way combat symbol between the torch and rock.)

Yes, I used this spot to kill Damis and his second form. He did not attack me at all in this spot, so I am assuming it is a safe-spot. --Nequillim 02:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

It is a safe spot as 1-square sized monsters are programmed to move east-west before moving north south, however if Damis cannot be reliably gotten to this spot that would make it a less than 100% safe spot. Can anyone describe how they got Damis into that position? ~kytti khat 05:49, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

To get Damis into that spot, I lead him in through the south-east corridor (on the screenshot). Once in the position that I am in the screenshot, I attacked him with magic, causing my character to turn around and hit him with magic from the diagonal. It also occurs to me now that there is a skeleton to the east of Damis in the screenshot - and hence the situation I was in - which did not allow Damis to move. Don't know if it's relevant. --Nequillim 10:23, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

I recently did DT and I found another safe-spot for Damis...well it kept me safe. I thought it was so cool so I screenied it. Does anyone want me to post a pic? (if you look at the pic already in this section, I was about a square away from the skeleton to the north) Andy-360 *talk* 09:08, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I killed damis by earth blasting him. It was so easy. Only used 3 sips of prayer pot. I was lvl 86 back then! I was at a safe spot north of him. Nothing could attack me so i suggest that people should try it.In fact i dont know if i safe spotted him cuz there was no rocks or anything but nothing attacked me so it must be one. span style="background-color:black;[[|14px]]doomboy56 11:18, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

3rd Hardest Quest????[edit source]

Ive heard this is the 3rd hardest qest in rs.

However I was able to beat it at lvl 62(im not a pure) with 43 prayer and 60-61 mage (got i up when fighting kamil =b.)
Also I had an extremely easy time with the quest and find it hard to believe that people 100+ died doing it.
I didn't even use any safespots.
However i DO understand the importance of 43 prayer and how doing the quest without it would be VERY hard.
Post al ur comments =b--Airplane04 23:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
In my opinion, people mainly die in this quest from underestimating it (i.e. "Oh, I can kill a Black Dragon, that's level 227; Damis is way lower level, it'll be easy")....and then being killed (myself being evidence of this).Penguin mask.pngChewy (Talk) 00:29, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

To clear this up - it means, you don't have to have the skills to start the quest. You do, however, need the quest requirements (for example, as I forgot to finish off The Tourist Trap before starting, I got this message but, now starting it, with only 51 thieving, I can). Hope that helps anyone in the future. --Terily 08:25, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

Ranging Dessous[edit source]

In the article there is a piece about ranging Dessous, the recommended weapon is a rune crossbow with emerald bolts(e). Though when I tried that, there was a short come it was just too slow to kill him, even with addamant bolts, after poison of emerald bolts(e). Then I tried with mithril knifes, it worked quiet well. You don't hit as hard, but you'll hit often and not bad either. I think I would shoot about once between eating with a crossbow, and 3 times with the knifes. I used about 22 lobsters and 1 dose of prayer potion to kill him, no poison. My food supply was all gone. Might this be a better method for killing him?

My stats are: ranged: 64, prayer: 49, defence: 51 and magic: 61
My equipment was:
weapon: 80 mithril throwing knifes
armour: full red dragonhide + standard coif+ rune kiteshield and fancy boots
amulates: power and explorer ring
inventory: 1-click, 1 prayer pot, the pot with blood, druid pouch and 22 lobsters
recommended changes:taking a better shield, something with better magic bonus, sharks instead of lobsters

This is just me, but I used a rune crossbow with runite bolts(p++); they do much more damage than the emerald bolts (e)--which are the equivalent of mithril bolts--I also barely used half an inventory of monkfish. Mithril knives might be effective, but clearly adamant or runite knives would be much more so.Penguin mask.pngChewy (Talk) 00:33, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I just used runite crossbow Mithril Bolts full red d'hide that prayer that makes your range go up by 15% and ranging potions. i was hitting 18's often and only ate 1 sharks :D. i was 62 ranged at the time Hunter cape (t).png Zylus Blue partyhat.png 17:13, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Personal progress thingy[edit source]

Remove if needed

Picked the chestlock in about three lockpicks (probably used up all my luck, had 53 thieving) Dessous killed in 33 Wind Waves, full Mystic with Legends cape and Air staff, Glory, Bacon Ring, Broodoo Shield. Fareed killed in 21 Water Blasts + prayer, same equipment as before + facemask and Ice Gloves. Damis killed in 37 Earth Blasts over both forms, Method Eight (corner trick).

Overally, I find it kind of disappointing up to this point.

Waterskins for Fareed?[edit source]

Do you need to have waterskins for the smoky well part, if you just use magic carpet rides to get there?

You do not. Although you'll likely take a bit of damage from the heat effect (this happens when you use the carpets), it will be minimal since the well isn't very far from southern Pollnivneach. The desert effect ends once you enter a dungeon, so you won't need to worry about it there. You may wish to bring one full waterskin (it won't hurt you in any way), but that should be all you need. Cannoning damis[edit source]

Is it possible to cannon damis? As there is no referance on the article (yes im a cannon noob ;) Cheese.png Jamesrules90 talk Dragon halberd.png 08:23, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I was going to answer this, because I was doing the quest. Unfortunately, I forgot a piece of my cannon and couldn't try this out for you. The cannon worked VERY well for Fareed and Kamil though, but I didn't try it on Dessous. But, by simply looking around the area in which Damis resides, I think it would be possible to use a cannon to defeat him (not too small, etc.). The only thing I would be concerned about is the need to bring A LOT of cannonballs, as there are many other monsters around Damis, and the cannon would fire on them, too.

Hard to believe 100+ have died[edit source]

I finished the quest all with the very similar methods. It was simply protect from melee while casting Air Wave on Dessous, Water Wave on Fareed, Earth Blast on Damis, and Fire Bolt on Kamil. I only drank 5 full doses of prayer potions and only ate 8 tuna potatoes. I was only level 90 at that time, however removing the stats that weren't used during the quest, it is very easy to finish this quest with only 70 magic, 43 prayer, and a decent hitpoints level. This is like how Monkey Madness sounds like only extremely high levels can finish it.--Moneypony 07:18, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Difficulty Level[edit source]

You're joking right? I'm a lvl 63, and I'm going through this quest like any other. It's not as hard as it is rumored to be. It took me a whopping 40 seconds to kill Kamil.

Not that hard..[edit source]

It's not that hard as long as you take the neccesary precautions and do not judge the monsters by levels.

Not hard[edit source]

This quest is not so hard, I am level 71 and just did it with 62 mage. The only hard part is killing the Ice Trolls. The rest was easy.

Overrated[edit source]

this quest is overrated, it's not hard at all i did it with 1 def 31 pray on my pure, didn't die once.. Almost died once at damis when over 9000 skeletons hit me at the same time... the Blood diamond is ridiculously easy, and so is the smoke diamond. Shadow is hardest(but actually still easy) and the hard part about the ice diamond was running through the monsters. the worst thing to do in this quest is panic, it took me about 30 mins for ice, 20 mins for shadow,20 mins for blood, and 1 hour for smoke(i didn't understand that part:o) and about 2 days of getting the requirements:p interesting quest tho... everyone with 60+ mage can do it78.20.146.253 00:28, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

hi ive just started the quest and am currently doing the ice diamond. i have found it quite difficult. my combat lvl is 62. att 53, str 50, def 45, range 42, mage 66, hp 51, and prayer only 30. im not too sure what to use to kill kamil. by the time i run past the monsters i have already used half of my food. when i try melee he hits me way too hard and makes me use all my food too fast then when i use mage he just keeps freezing me and it stops me from attacking. im not sure what food is best to use but i use sharks. i dont know what armour i shold be wearing because of my def only being 45. please help me on how to kill kamil with these levels as i want it to be over asap. and i do not want to be wasting time having to get more levels up because i have already used soooo much time just getting the requirements.. ive seen lower levels then me with ancient

get a friend to tank the wolves, and block kamil so you can safely mage him78.20.146.253 13:40, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

when i did this quest i used my multicannon on all of them. kamil was very quick as long as you have protect from melee high magic def armour, enough food and prayer pots, and you are calm enough to know when to use them. just set it up the moment kamil appears and stand next to it. reload it before its empty, eat at around 30 hp and drink a sip of prayer pot when it gets below ten. use any fire magic, fire bolt with chaos gloves is wonderful. sadly tyhis cannont be done without 43 prayer. you just would spend too much time eating and probably die before you can kill him.

Safe-spotting kamil[edit source]

Is it still possible as of 2010?

I'm not sure :| Someone should test it FredeTalk 17:26, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

It's still possible. Position yourself behind the rock and your friend to the right/left of you. As soon as Kamil appears, run diagonally behind your partner and quickly run back as soon as you see him directly in front of your friend. Be sure to use Fire BOLT, NOT BLAST, unless you have 75+ Magic. But without a friend, it's not a safespot

Ive tried many tecniques and this 1 ive seen but it doesnt work for me ive tried 3 times... so im pretty mad.

Cleaning it up[edit source]

Things I've noticed

  • The "notes" are out of hand.
  • The methods section with the shadow diamond guardian is excessive.
  • The "bring this and bring that" things are confusing and self-contradictory.

I will work on cleaning them up. S Duckling 21:05, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

I've done a bit of editing on the section for the pyramid. It's mostly reorg and copy-editing, not new info, etc. However, I'm not certain I agree with some of the info presented. In particular, the weight limit, all the prayer-extending gear, and the quantities of potions. With 57 agility, I found 14 kg (well below the 20 kg limit mentioned) to be too heavy. Shedding everything but a holy symbol, potions, and boots of lightness (0 kg net weight), I tripped no traps, took 2 sips of super energy, 2 sips of prayer, and 1 sip of super antipoison, (i.e., 1 potion each) which is noticeably less than the recommendation. Is it time for new recommendations? How were the original ones formulated? --Saftzie 12:22, March 21, 2010 (UTC)
I had another go at the pyramid section. I've added some words to try to temper possibly inaccuracies. I'm not trying to steal any thunder, so have a look and see what you think. I don't expect I'll touch it again. --Saftzie 23:11, March 21, 2010 (UTC)
I just did the pyramid part of the quest, and I used one prayer potoin, one anti potion, and no energy potions. You weren't stealing any thunder, I just edited it as I did the quest--the pyramid part looks much better already. :D S Duckling 21:58, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Getting this article featured again[edit source]

Cleaned it up quite a bit...

Also, we'll need to make it clearer and more concise; it was a bit messy in some sections (especially the 1st section)

i am trying to get ghostly robes and i dunt want to go through the time and get all of the other requierments.

i only wanna get the ring of visibility

- No, if you click Desert Treasure in the quest tab you will see all the requirements needed to start it.

do boosts work at the lockpicking part?[edit source]

can i use my friends assist system?

Nope, nor potions

Guthans[edit source]

I'm about to start this quest sometime soon. I noticed that lots of food is recommended. If I use full Guthans, will I be covered?Quest point cape.pngSk8r dan man Quests 23:17, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Factual correction -- Minor detail[edit source]

I haven't done this quest yet so I won't edit this without first asking, but I believe there's a typo in the section with the mirrors near the beginning. It says "You will see four locations across RuneScape. Two of them, the pyramid and the Bandit Camp, are not related to the diamonds' location. The other four locations show where you can find the diamonds." I am not sure, as I haven't seen it, but is that not supposed to say six locations, simply by context clues? Latias Kyori 00:25, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Bosses[edit source]

The bosses are REALLY easy. I didn't even need ANY food for the Shadow and Blood bosses. Unfortunately, that meant that when I tried to pick up the SHadow diamond, I had no room, and I teleported away without thinking about it. LongNose 03:20, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Guilded Cross Chest & Damis[edit source]

I managed to open the chest for the guilded cross in 13 tries with 60 thieving at the time, but that's not the point.

We should get 2 people with the same thieving level to use gloves of silence to open the chest and the other person doesn't use the gloves. That way we can finally confirm whether Gloves of silence works on the chest. after all it says on article its unconfirmed.

some might depend on chance through...

On the battle with Damis the guide told me there was a stalagmite safespot to mage/range damis. I can't find it or otherwise it got taken out with some update?

- There is one in the top right corner of the big room, a small spiral then some stagalmites to stand behind.

Shadow Diamond[edit source]

There is a safespot, it's the stalagmite on the ground in the very north corner of the room. Get Damis and all his little buddies to follow you up there and run behind it, you can range/mage him from there without taking any damage. This works on form 1 and 2.

I just did that section and he "disappeared into the shadows" as soon as I got into the hook area. First form: he disappeared without a message, second form: "Damis disappears once more into the shadows" came into the chat box. 07:20, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

Lockpicks used?[edit source]

How many lockpicks did it take everyone to open the chest to get the gilded cross? It took me 1.

I cannot confirm this, but after doing the quest twice, it seems that having a hair clip in your inventory increases your chances of success. I used under 5 lockpicks in both cases. --Alchez 07:03, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Gas mask[edit source]

Could a gas mask be used so that you don't need 10 slayer to complete Desert Treasure? Or can you use it, but you still need 10 slayer?

WHY?[edit source]

Ok, so today i finished up all the skills and quests needed to start this quest. When i talk to the archeologist it still says he is lost in his thoughts. i triple checked i have all the quests done, and my skills exceed requirement? help anyone?

Damis Safespot (Northeast/Hook): Does it work anymore?[edit source]

This didn't seem to work. I tried to lure him, walking and running, attacking him every 3-4 steps/squares. As soon as I set foot in the "hook" corridor, he disappears. Didn't try the southeast safespot.

Found a semi-safespot on the way to the hook, that I think is the one others have also mentioned. You trap him on the other side of a stalagmite, and all your prayer goes to Protect from Melee against the Skeletons and Hounds. I used one or two prayer mix doses with a Holy wrench, Mystic robe top/bottom/boots, Farseer helmet, Regen bracelet, Amulet of glory, Mystic lava/earth staff, Unholy book, Earth wave spells (I forget, 30-40 maybe at maximum, with 87 Mage/69 Prayer/81 Constitution). My prayer still dropped rapidly on its own. ^_^ But Damis died rather suddenly. Warp9pnt9 03:01, September 13, 2011 (UTC)

Fareed is rediculously easy[edit source]

I accidentally forgot to bring a weapon, but figured I'd try it anyhow. It took about 3 minutes, but I took no damage (protect from melee), and easily killed Fareed... while wielding my broomstick. Brianfreud 02:15, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

Due to an update that make a player unable to jump the fence behind Freda's cottage. I have updated the map to the Ice child for that part of the quest.

Need a map from first gate till troll parents[edit source]

And because I was using LOW graphic setting it was unable to distinguish the path. From the first gate to Kamil I could trace the path (cave) seeing trolls and wolves but the Ice path after Kamil was almost impossible to trace. I had to waste my time, stats, pots and foods. Please add a notion about graphic setting and a map. -- Ypacaraí (talk) 05:18, September 1, 2012 (UTC)

Retribution / Wrath[edit source]

Wrath can't really used to kill anyone in this quest, because you need further quest to obtain that curse. 04:29, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Dessous post-EoC[edit source]

Dessous was not a challenge. I didn't drop below 90% of my health, didn't use protection prayers, and didn't eat anything. I used standard magic and defense potions and prayed Mystic Might and Overcharge. Level 50 Magic and Defense, full batwing armour, and a mystic air staff. That's a far cry from the difficult fight with level 70 Magic I was promised, but that's fine. — Lexmechanic (talk) 05:10, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Kamil and EoC[edit source]

I went into the battle with him by using magic and range (crossbow and cannon) and according to the section for using magic against him, it said "The decreased Magic level you will suffer due to the environment does not affect the ability to cast a spell, only the accuracy." Instead, I was getting messages in the chatbox saying that I didn't have a high enough level to cast the spell when my magic level got drained enough. Just wanted to point out that change due to EoC. Corkpedite (talk) 07:55, March 19, 2015 (UTC)

The safespot no longer works.[edit source]

Sadly, if you attempt to take Damis to the safespot it no longer functions because Damis will just disappear now. Cyansius (talk) 01:28, March 8, 2017 (UTC)
