Horrible length[edit source]

People are comparing this quest with Mourning's Ends Part II. Z0MG is it that EVIL?!?!?!?!?! --Whiplash 17:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm not making that comparison... yet... --E.T. Prod U 17:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
This is the first quest worthy of the title "Master" since MEP2. :P --Whiplash 18:01, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Honestly, I had no idea that the default difficulty was 5. I assumed someone else did it. Turns out, not so much. Well, now I know. Chocotard 13:48, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
First person confirmed finished 2 hours and 41 minutes after release. --Whiplash 18:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Just say someone claiming to have finished it, said the reward was 1 Quest Point, 7k Xp in Agility, Strength & Thieving and an enchanted water tiara, whatever that is. I won't add this yet as it might not be true. E.T. Prod U 18:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Why did Jagex named is 'short' if it really takes that long. What makes it long btw? . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium. Water Tiara[edit source]

About darn time, the stupid desert heat effect is the only thing preventing me from wanting to be in the desert in the first place. I hate having to have a bunch of water bag things filling up my inventory every time I go in there, it's frustrating. Even worse when I have to go there to train slayer, so annoying. It's awesome that they finally added an item that would make that so much better. Summoning TIRRIANGANT (TALK) 20:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

take in note that it still cost you water runes to work

Which are stackable. Chocotard 08:03, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

or you can out them all in =P 15:06, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

requirements[edit source]

Why does it say that a rope is suggested?

  • no idea. havent seen a need for one. there appears to be a shortcut near the agility pyramid but that uses a crossbow and mith grapple.Miw 23:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
No it doesn't. It uses a rope. It isn't required, but it will make your life a lot easier. Dtm142 23:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I suppose so then. But we also include teleport runes for numerous quest guides (though we put optionally beside it), so why not include it here? Thieving-icon.pngMomento Mori Real PainNot Champagne23:49, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Walktrough complete[edit source]

We usually take note of the completion of the quest guide and compare it against some other fan sites. This is to record the completion of a workable quest guide. Still needs polishing and screenshot. Miw 23:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for recording the time. Chrislee33 06:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Room 2[edit source]

I was able to pull the lever at 65 strength with the 2nd lowest power on both tries that I did this (I believe power 1) so the 0% is misleading...?

I also failed to pull the lever at 91 Strength so these numbers are inaccurate.

Camel Dung[edit source]

What has My Arm's Big Adventure got to do with obtaining the camel dung? As far as I know, absolutely nothing at all. That quest is no where near camels? Explanation or removal of this tip. Warp9pnt9 11:43, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Odd. Changed it. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 12:32, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, okay thanks, it just didn't seem to make sense, thanks for clearing that up. Warp9pnt9 03:40, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

High priest + magic = dangerous[edit source]

Even when following the guide, if you made the High Priest use magic against you, it may summon a Scarab swarm which will attack you, cause disease and poison, as well as hit very hard with melee, causing you to take heavy damage, and the attack may also continue well beyond the 10-20s estimate. Had Auto-Retaliate off. Walked away from the mage. Almost immediately there was a Scarab swarm pounding on me. Held on as long as possible. Drank Relicym's balm but 3 doses didn't cure, as I was repeatedly being hit and reinfected. Used Antipoison but it still seemed to take one-shot poison damages. Not sure about instruction's accuracy/robustness in this regard. Some note ought to be made. May take a few attempts, things may not turn out as easily as described, etc. Warp9pnt9 03:40, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

Strange... I was attacked by him a total of two times and neither time did I get damaged... I think you should add to the guide that it might not be as safe as I claim it to be. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 14:09, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

When Talking to the High Priest[edit source]

The guide is confusing and misleading. The options I chose were: "I'm not here to contemplate, I'm here to slay!", then "Why did you cease your contemplation?" and finally "Why this sudden change in policy?".

What the guide says is wrong. When I followed it he kept attacking me each time.. Solarfall 16:06, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

I semi-followed the guide, but chose the phrases in a different order to get him to attack me. 17:52, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

Changes to lenght[edit source]

The lenght is easily more like "Long - Very long" instead of "Medium - Long".

I changed the lenght from "Medium - Long" to "Long", because I have done many in the "Long - Very long" category, and this can easily fit there. Even after preparing for this quest I've had ALOT of running around and I'm not even half way there. 13:24, August 26, 2012 (UTC)

Surefooted Auras?[edit source]

Something that occurred to me was that you could theoretically, if the game didn't actively prevent it, use one of the Surefooted auras to cross the oily pipe no matter how long you took to get to it, since it prevents you from failing agility-related tasks. My only question is: does anyone know if this does, indeed, work, or would it be prevented by the game somehow, causing you to fail at roughly the same rate as before? ~Axelskox 13:30, June 20, 2014 (UTC)

Very weird flow[edit source]

This guide has some very weird flow issues. It's very confusing. I accidentally did the crate option without knowing about the 180 minute rule because Task 2 was very confusing and had way too much information. I've used wikia many times and have 250qp and this is the only guide that confused me. 12:17, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

Artifact or Artefact[edit source]

"Artifact: An object produced or shaped by human craft, especially a tool, weapon, or ornament of archaeological or historical interest. Artefact: An artificial product or effect observed in a natural system, especially one introduced by the technology used in scientific investigation or by experimental error."

By definition the items you give him are man made and thus artifacts not natural systems scientific investigation and the likes, so would this be incorrectly spelled? I mean even the wiki doesn't recognize artefact as a word. Same goes for the actual page on the "Artefact Receipt", so its obviously spelled this way in game and it's incorrect...? 09:33, January 15, 2017 (UTC)
