Can they be killed without a slayer task?Scythe.png Atlandy 14:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes. But you need level 90 slayer regardless. Dtm142 17:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

required slayer level[edit source]

The required slayer level to kill dark beasts is 80 and not 90 as stated in this entry.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[Special:Contributions/{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] ([[:User talk:{{{1}}}|talk]]).

Comment - Umm, no. It's 90.  Panjy16

Blue charms[edit source]

Blue charms here are over-rated. While they do drop relatively well per individual they do not drop well over time. I can get blues just as fast, or faster at kalphites, abberant spectres, or gargoyles. I do not really think this information is particularly encyclopedic, but I think it should be noted somewhere. --Constitution cape.png csoursTalkIdeas Quest point cape.png 14:38, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

It dosent seem overrated to me. 90 slayer is very hard to get, you know. So maybe the 90 slayer part is the balance. --Dragon scimitar.pngMurd3rlogistAttack cape (t).png

Factual correction[edit source]

From the article:

This method requires the crystal trinket in your inventory or you will be unable to reset the light beam for future use.

What? What's all this about?  Zaros symbol.png    « Iceman »      09:00, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

The statement refers to accessing the dark beasts via the temple of light after mournings end, although alternative teleport options are available, not to mention Kuradal's dungeon. 15:34, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Clue Scrolls[edit source]

Is this article serious? No clue scrolls from dark beasts? If that is accurate then they really do suck for drops except for dark bow. =[

After ROW update i have been getting 150 rune arrow drops.

Thanks, added. Suppa chuppa Talk 20:54, March 15, 2011 (UTC)

Coins[edit source]

I received 4,017 on one drop. I'm sure of this because I did not have any coins and when they dropped I picked them up only because it was a big pile. Currently, it says the max is 3,000. Dsctatom 05:54, March 22, 2011 (UTC)

Jagex really has improved the drops[edit source]

A few days ago I got noted yews from abyssal demon, this time dark beast dropped 250 noted raw sharks. Has anyone got other noted items from dark beasts? --Sulphate 07:19, April 15, 2011 (UTC)

Yes - I got 34 clean, noted Snapdragon's off them a couple of days ago, in Kuradal's dungeon with a Ferocious Ring equipped. 17:11, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Update to the alst comment I made - apparently this is the new Rare Drop Table. ROW improves chances of loot from it, as before. 22:09, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Nature runes[edit source]

I received 79 in one drop while not wearing a row. Dark beasts drop more nats than the rare drop table to begin with, so I don't know what to do with this number. Dsctatom 23:23, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe you should edit the Rare drop table to include a range rather than a set number of nature runes. sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 23:43, August 1, 2011 (UTC)
I've gotten two 79 rune drops now. I think the Dark beast article is wrong, not the rdt. Dsctatom 01:24, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
Well then fix it ^-^ sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 01:25, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

I got a rune kiteshield drop from dark beasts.

i think they should add that to the armour drop section.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 14:42, September 8, 2011.

It is on the rare drop table Herblore-icon.pngDimchordtalkSlayer-icon.png 14:50, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Redemption attacks?[edit source]

I've been killing these after EoC as slayer tasks. When I kill one, while they do the death animation or even after their bodies disappear, I find myself getting hit for low magic damage. Must be an oversight from Jagex. Dungeonmaster12 (talk) 01:59, February 16, 2013 (UTC)

Oh yeah, and also they have unusually accurate magic attacks now. I'm using ranged armor, which means magic attacks are less effective. However, I get hit about 90% of the time from their magic attacks, which is quite odd. Must be another oversight from Jagex. Dungeonmaster12 (talk) 02:06, February 16, 2013 (UTC)

Drop table edits:

Also drops cadantine seeds, but as rare as dwarf weed seeds from my experience. All shark drops are double, so "1-2" as seen on drop table is wrong. 14:01, October 23, 2014 (UTC)

Drop rate inaccuracies[edit source]

When the drop log project's results were added, RDT and sirenic scale drops were thought to be in the main drop table which at least currently isn't the case. Is the drop data used to determine the drop rates accessible somewhere so that the rates could be corrected accordingly? The update that moved RDT out of the main drop table made it much rarer, and the 1/64 rate that the article claim is very far from the current truth. Thingummywut (talk) 21:41, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
