Random respawns?[edit source]
I'm removing the following text from the article: "The presence of the player near the chest may affect the respawn rate. When a player has been away from the chest for a considerable period of time, upon return some items have not respawned to their limit, even though they are known to respawn once per minute when the player is nearby. However, in some cases at least, once the player uses the chest to purchase the item, it then soon respawns in a large number. This has been observed with chocolate bars, for example."
Unless there's evidence of this being something really random, the cause should be assumed to be other players either buying the stock before the first player returns, or selling to the store!
It seems prices have shot up for some items! Grapes now cost over 500gp each. Pizza dough 104gp. It used to be a massive profit to buy from the CC. Anyone else find this now very pricy? Dgtns 13:32, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- It was to do with RWT apparently. You would have a bot skipping worlds, buying up everything, then the person buying the gold would meet someone, who would sell a vast quantity of the item back to the chest to be bought by the first person, who would then sell it for a big profit on GE to get the gold. It sucks though, I bought a lot of stuff from the CC for my own use. Hurston (T # C) 13:42, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Chocolate bars and flour[edit source]
According to the current text the reasons behind the respawn odd times of these 2 items are unknown, however, I noticed that the flour's respawn rate is exactly triple that of chocolate bars. The flour stock is also exactly one-third that of the chocolate making both of the stocks fully respawned at exactly the same time: 1 day 10 hours and 15 minutes. These numbers however are not "odd" as is currently stated. I am not sure if I should put this information into this page so I will allow a future editor to decide.
Factual correction[edit source]
Does not appear as soon as quest starts...[edit source]
I propose we correct this; the chest is not available even after the first sub-quest. Does anyone have updated info on when it now appears? [Update - done it.]
