Longest quest names[edit source]

"Along with Recipe For Disaster's length in name, this quest's name is one of the longest." - What about Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf? ULoveMe 21:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I see lots with longer names. Its pretty worthless as trivia, not to mention incorrect. Ex-Black Nights fortress, Another Slice of Ham, Big chompy Bird Hunting, omg theres tons more longer. Hence, I am removing it.

Mago planks[edit source]

I have used 90 mithril nails, not 70 ??? Two possibilities ? Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 21:52, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

I used 90 as well though it could be random. Other quests are known to do that. --Whiplash 22:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Difficulty[edit source]

I don't think the difficulty should be 3. Of course, Isafdar is quite a dangerous area, but since Regicide is required to do this quest, we can consider that the players doing it are used to handling the few traps there. I completed the quest in around 30-40 minutes, without spending more than 2500 coins, 2 glory charges and a dose of antipoison. Note also that :

  • As a First Resort... is rated as 2/5 difficulty, although it requires to spend some time near lvl ~90 aggressive foes
  • The Eyes of Glouphrie is rated as 2/5 difficulty, although it contains much harder puzzles

I agree with you, this quest is quite easy and fast. There are some dangerous predictible traps which may hurt you (leaves : 15 hp), the poison is not strong (Beginning 2HP). It should be definitely marked as a lesser difficulty. Iban's staff rocks ! Urssaff talk 05:19, 14 February 2008 (EST)
Agree also that it's not difficult; it's listed as a [ Master quest] in the KB!! Chrislee33 01:25, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
The KB doesn't dictate what we write here. Also, someone put the difficulty back to 3 arguing that the puzzle can be difficult for some people. My opinion about this is that the puzzle will be easy for the people reading the guide, therefore the puzzle doesn't justify at all increasing the difficulty, since the guide is targeted at the people who read it.
Also, as I mentioned earlier, the puzzle in The Eyes of Glouphrie is much harder... I could also add Dealing with Scabaras, which has a hard puzzle and a hard dungeon and is rated difficulty 3 too. Honestly, if our difficulty ratings are so random, we should remove this field since it's at best useless, and at worst much misleading. Second-abyssal-whip.pngPatheticcockroachGuthan's platebody.png(Talk) 06:08, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually some idiots actually went and died on this quest during the first day lol... The 3 should stay considering most of the quest is located in the forests of Isfadar. A 3 may actually make people be more cautious on this quest rather then running out there with no food and no anti-poison as they think this will be a walk in the park should it be a 1 or a 2.

In my eyes:

  • 1 represents extreme simplicity and no threat.
  • 2 represents simple with some challenge and/or minor threats.
  • 3 represents moderate challenge and/or with possibility of serious harm.
  • 4 represents challenging and/or with a good possibility of serious harm or possibly death.
  • 5 represents extremely taxing with a good possibility of death.

This quest "does" have the possiblity of causing some serious harm on players with lower agility. If they aren't watching for traps they probably could get seriously hurt or killed. The puzzle itself without a guide does take a decent amount of time. So I say leave it a 3. --Whiplash 04:16, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

First quest not related to Plague city?[edit source]

I thought mourners end parts 1 and 2 were not related to plague city. Is this true?

-If so, this article is misleading, and should be corrected in the trivia section.

-If not, then how is it related? I see no relationship watsoever with the whole plague city quest series. Besides, parts 1 and 2 of mourners end has very high requirements.--Pkthis 19:31, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Mourning's Ends 1 and 2 are completely related to Plague City, since :
  • in Mourning's Ends 1, there are references to the Plague and the "poisoning" of the mourner's food that the player did in previous quests (biohazard, I think).
  • Mourning's Ends 2 is about preventing the Mourners to achieve their evil goal, and they intend to reach this goal by using the false plague epidemic.
Also, in Mourning's Ends 1 and 2, you run around the Mourners' HQ in a mourner suit, quite similar to the plague gear you get in plague city. Second-abyssal-whip.pngPatheticcockroachGuthan's platebody.png(Talk) 19:49, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
In addition, you need to complete Roving Elves to do Mourning's Ends Part 1, and that quest to do Part 2. Skill requirements are irrelevant. Butterman62 (talk) Ice Barrage icon.png 21:31, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
