Speed? Is it any better or worse than a scimitar? It looks like one and has stats like one....Mathwhiz90601 16:07, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

How is the hi alchemy higher than the store price?!? Dragon medium helm! Whaddaya know?Chiafriend12Better than rune!Loon is best buttlord 02:16, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Uhh, high alchemy always nets more money than selling it to the store. Woodcutting-icon.pngHyenastetalk 02:32, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
The hi alch is higher than the store price. That means someone can buy one, hi alch it, get a 5K profit, repeat and get very, very rich. I doubt this would really happen (unless Jagex didn't know about it). Dragon medium helm! Whaddaya know?Chiafriend12Better than rune!Loon is best buttlord 02:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Calm down guys. Whoever put in that info doesn't understand what a store price is. The store price is supposed to be what it would cost if bought from a store or specialty shop (84k for a rune platebody from Oziach, for example). Whoever entered the store price for the brine sabre thought that it meant the amount of coins received for selling it to a general store, which is usually equal to the low alch price, which is why we don't have a "Sell price" box. Just explain it to them and correct it. You can't even buy brine sabres from a store, I think, so you can't buy them and alch them for profit. No item can be bought and alched for profit, otherwise money would be pretty much worthless. Slayer-icon.png Gangsterls Divination-icon.png talk03:06, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Lol, worthless money. The economy would be pretty whacked up. Dragon medium helm! Whaddaya know?Chiafriend12Better than rune!Loon is best buttlord 03:08, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Brine Saber high alch price is 15960 gp.

Contradiction?[edit source]

Is it just me or is there a contradiction in the article? "Many members now buy one instead of a rune scimitar, because it has the same requirements (40 attack), but slightly better stats. Many pures with low attack use it as well.""Its bonuses are slightly better than that of a rune scimitar, but is less popular as it has a high cost in comparison, and is a weak members weapon." Don't see how as stated in the article many people use it in replace of a rune scimitar yet it be unpopular, as if "many" people are buying it that would make it popular. the grammar in this is bad

Edited out the contradictions, as well a few of the repetitive things in the article, and added a cost effective alternative, hopefully this will please at least some people. Chaos knight 11:35, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Why?[edit source]

Why do people buy this? seems pretty damn useless to me. For way less of a price, someone could buy a rune longsword, with such a small speed difference that it doesn't matter.McBob49 (talk) 19:35, July 10, 2012 (UTC)
