Rewards post-Battle of Lumbridge[edit source]

For those who care, per this post:

  • Renown will not have a use after this world event.
  • Warpriest armour will be recoverable, and possibly a method will be introduced to get the warpriest armour if you never got it during the Battle of Lumbridge.

IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 08:25, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

The 5% discount appears to have reset after the end of the event.

So it seems, however who knows whether this is intended or not... There are a few topics on the matter on the RSOF; let's see if they get any mod response (likt the divine tears being useless now-topics). IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 18:28, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

XP lamps[edit source]

Question time: I wonder how will the tier 2 and 3 XP lamps differ from the tier 1 ones? Better value for renown points?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 12:49, July 24, 2013‎.

I would expect they will give more experience, but until they're released, we can only guess. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 13:22, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not so sure, I suspect the exp wll be the same.  1 more week until we find out Construction.png Storm Roller talk 14:14, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
If that is the case, what point would there be in having experiene lamps for each tier? And no, we'll find out on Monday. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 14:16, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
Turns out that you will get more experience per renoun from buying tier 1 lamps than tier 2 lamps. It is about ~24.5 from tier 1 on a level 96 skill, and ~23.9 from tier 2 on same level; for huge lamps. Conclusion: It's not worth it to buy tier 2 lamps. I'll just leave this here...  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 04:49, August 13, 2013.
Unfortunately, you are correct. I guess I was too hopeful when it comes to Jagex and logic... And if the Tier 3 lamps follow the same increase (giving 5% more experience than SoF lamps), they will also be worse experience/renown than tier 1 lamps. *sigh* IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 06:17, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Swapping[edit source]

Can anyone confirm whether or not the cosmetic weapon overrides, emotes and the armour disappear when you swap faction? Also, does the orb override only drop from the mage mobs, bow only from archers etc. or does all of them drop from all different mobs? 18:51, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

I've read on the RSOF that any rewards you have, you keep if you switch factions. Thus, the weapon overrides, emotes and armour should not disappear. The Divine tears you have left, however, do. I have not heard any news regarding Sacred metal fragments, though. The second part of your question I have no idea about; didn't pay attention when I got mine. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 19:37, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
And I just found a source to answer the second question. Checked my Adventurer's Log today and saw:
  • After killing a Zamorakian sniper, it dropped an icyenic bowstave.
  • After killing a Zamorakian footsoldier, it dropped an icyenic warhammer head.
  • After killing a Zamorakian warlock, it dropped an icyenic orb.
So, for me at least, it does seem like it depends on the NPC's type. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 04:37, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

I just found the icyenic warhammer head from a warlock so you can probably get either of the items from any warrior on the battlefield. 09:18, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

Titles[edit source]

I received the Boundless title for woodcutting and the Virtuous while fishing. My two cents for where you can receive titles 03:03, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

I received the Virtuous by mining, and met a guy with the Boundless who claimed to get it by fishing.
I later got the Boundless by combat, and the Eternal by mining again.
The messages were:
1)While mining divine tears, you find yourself infused with power, gaining a new title.
You have unlocked the title: the Virtuous
2)In slaying Zamorak's footsoldier, Sardomin rewards you with a title to herald your deeds.
You have unlocked the title: the Boundless.
3)While mining divine tears, you find yourself infused with power, gaining a new title.
You have unlocked the title: the Eternal
Seeing as I got two titles by the same skill, I think it's safe to say it's completely random. 14:25, July 25, 2013 (UTC)
I received the Virtuous by fishing... so I guess its random.   az talk   07:00, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
You cut down a particularly stubborn crystal formation, earning the respect of your peers, who give you a new title.
You have unlocked the new title: the Eternal.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).
Based on User:WickedMemory's image:
While fishing for divine tears, you find the deeds to a new title caught in the net.
You have unlocked the title: the Eternal.   az talk   22:19, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
I was wondering, can anyone confirm "the Powerful" is obtainable by Sardominists, and "the Virtuous" is obtainable by Zamorakians? I'm only asking because of their colours, and the fact I am currently fighting for Sardomin and have unlocked all titles beside "the Powerful". 19:19, August 1, 2013 (UTC)
Good question; so far I've only gotten the "the Powerful" title while being on Zamorak's side, thus I can't provide any news information. Interested in the answer as well, though. Interestingly, those two titles are also listed together with the other titles from that faction, in the Customisation interface. The last 2 randomly-unlocked titles are at the complete bottom of the list instead. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 19:27, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Real or Fake?[edit source]

how do you guys know that the reward emotes and clothes are 4,5k and 6k?.... no one say that?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 11:09, July 25, 2013.

This information was present on the Jagex wiki from the day of the release. That is, at this time, the only source. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 12:38, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

Reclaim[edit source]

So since this is an event, the current way to replace the Warpriest armor is to use renowns. So how would they be replaced after the event is over? 14:46, July 25, 2013 (UTC)mikecoco

Based on RSOF post, Jagex themselves haven't even decided that yet. They are also considering adding a (albeit a very hard // rare) method to get the armour after the event is over. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 15:19, July 25, 2013 (UTC)
Would you mind posting a link of the source you have mentioned? I have no idea what RSOF stands for and googling it hasn't helped (ha). 22:18, July 30, 2013 (UTC)
RSOF = RuneScape Official Forums. --See ya': 22:48, July 30, 2013 (UTC)
The easiest to find topic is the FAQs itself: [1],
  • Q: What happens to the rewards after the World Event ends? Will they be discontinued or available again in future from other World Events?
  • A: Emotes and titles will be discontinued, so get 'em while you can. We will provide a chance to retrieve lost armour, and may provide a very rare, slim chance to collect the armour you didn't get, after the Event has been over for a while. If you’ve seen something you want, play the event now to earn it!
There were some other posts by Mod Raven in various topics, which made it clear that the "may" is not a certainty. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:48, July 31, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, posted only a short while ago: [2]. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 08:20, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

Leg Armour name, Greaves vs Grieves[edit source]

The correct term is Greaves, and has been used for every other piece of leg armour so far, however they were called here "Grieves" (verb tense, to grieve), different words and different usage.

I tried fixing some entries of the said error, I cannot change the title/name entry for the items though. It's left to wonder if it's an ingame error that was carried over to the wiki or a error from the person who created the articles.

Should all the terms refered to as "Warpriest of xx Grieves" be replaced by "Warpriest of xx Greaves"? 15:55, July 28, 2013 (UTC) Eduardofern2

I made the articles and they are made that way on purpose. Per the Style guide, we must follow the ingame naming, no matter how wrong it is. MolMan 15:56, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

Droppers of the emote enhancers[edit source]

I've received an Infernal bowstaff from a Saradominist crusader; i.e. Melee NPC dropped a ranged item, which I expect he would have got from killing the enemy he is strong against.

Similarly, I've received an Infernal orb from a Saradominist ranger; i.e. Ranged NPC dropping a magic item, again following the combat triangle.

I've noticed that all the NPCs are listed as dropping each item of the opposing faction. Is this an assumption, or has anyone actually received a drop that is off-triangle? Obsidian charm.png Magma2050 T C E Obsidian charm.png 12:07, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

That Saradominist ranger who just dropped the Infernal greathammer head answered my question for me. Must be coincidence. Obsidian charm.png Magma2050 T C E Obsidian charm.png 12:15, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

They aren't "emote enchancers", however. Also, you could've looked at the section above; I received my Icyene weapon parts from the corresponding type's NPC. My Infernal parts were random, however. Just luck, I suppose. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 13:30, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
From my adventure log:
I found an icyenic warhammer head
After killing a Zamorakian footsoldier, it dropped an icyenic warhammer head.--Jlun2 (talk) 14:57, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
I got all three icyenic parts from Zamorakian snipers, so I'm pretty confident that they all can drop any part, faction specifics aside. Nothing special here. (talk) 19:13, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

[SIC]'d a typo when finding a title.[edit source]

Added a [sic] on the word "cystal", I've always wanted to [sic] something. :P

Second set of each warpriest armour[edit source]

I was able to purchase a second piece of each zamorak warpriest item after purchasing them once, switching to saradomin, purchasing the saradomin warpriest items, and finally switching back to zamorak. I'm curious whether it is required to actually purchase the rewards from the other faction to gain the ability to purchase a second reward. PlatSilver (talk) 18:55, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Interesting to know. And I doubt you have to buy the rewards of the other shop first; from what I've heard, if you switch factions, and back, the reward shop will no longer offer the 'reclaim price', which I think might be the key to being able to get two pieces of the same armour part. Not sure if Jagex views this as a bug or not. Even if this makes it possible, I doubt I'll bother... Would take too much effort (and time, which I don't have) to switch forth and back as needed on the final set of weeks, and having only a half-set with place-holders is a tad silly. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 19:15, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Weapon overrides mems or not?[edit source]

On the main rewards page, there's a (m) next to weapon overrides. The individual pages for sacred metal fragments and the cosmetic overrides (iceynic/infernal shenanigans) say that while F2P peeps can obtain the shards, there's no way for them to turn them in to get overrides. Anyone want to clarify that a bit for me?

The Random Titles[edit source]

Are "the Boundless", "the Eternal", etc. only obtainable on the battlefield, or can they be obtained through skilling outside of the battlefield? Everyone seems to talk about them as if this was common knowledge, but I guess it's not common enough. Nothing special here. (talk) 00:23, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Battle field. MolMan 00:26, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Tier 3 lamps[edit source]

It would follow logic that tier 3 lamps cost the same as tier 1 and 2 lamps and give 5% more xp than their respective SoF lamps. I realize the info is off of jagex's disclosed info on their wiki, however the way it stands, the tier 3 lamps would be worse than tier 1 or 2 so I'm going to go ahead and say Jagex overlooked that fact, I won't change it on here, but I'm 100% certain I am correct. AFKeying (talk) 17:28, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Until Mod Michelle updates the jagex wiki page (and she has already today, but also seems to be unaware of this price change), I would not call anything certain. It took them until a day after the change to notice that the renown/exp of the tier 2 lamps were worse than the tier 1 lamps... I'm no longer giving jagex credit that they'd fix the tier 3 lamps before they are released. Let's hope they have adjusted/will adjust those prices as well, but who knows whether the new tier 3 prices will be the same, or just lower than currently. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 17:52, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Price change of experience lamps[edit source]

As everyone noticed, the price of tier 2 lamps was reduced to the price of the tier 1 lamps, in a hidden update on 13 August 2013. Apparently, the tier 3 lamps received the same reduction, based on Mod Michelle's edit here, and her comment on the Comments page regarding this. I have updated the table and text accordingly. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 10:45, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Size of xp lamps[edit source]

What size experience lamp is better value for renown? Danlikesrunescape (talk) 00:15, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

We don't know right now. We don't even know enough of the experience values yet. MolMan 00:16, August 18, 2013 (UTC)
In the assumption that we can trust Mod Michelle, the current lamps should be equal to the old Tier 1 lamps. Anyhow, regardless of this, in the assumption that whatever amount of experience they give, they are still based on the experience values of SoF lamps, the larger a lamp is, the more experience it'll give per renown spent. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 03:54, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

Emote Tier Skipping[edit source]

Can Your Skip Tiers when buying the emote? So if i wanna save 12,000 Renown and just buy tier 3, is that possible?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 14:34, August 29, 2013.

To my knowledge this should be possible. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 14:59, August 29, 2013 (UTC)
I have just done this, it certainly is possible! Danlikesrunescape (talk) 02:14, September 2, 2013 (UTC)

Sacred metal fragments[edit source]

So I Gathered The 1000 Scared Metal fragments &Attempted To Complete The Greathammer, &It All Disappeared. What Happened? &How Can I Get It Back? I'm F2P By The Way. 01:26, September 19, 2013 (UTC)

The greathammer is a cosmetic override that you unlock with the 1000 fragments. Check the Customisation interface, under the menu "Main Hand Items".   az talk   02:44, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
