Lunar Seal?[edit source]

After using the elite diaries does one need to use a lunar seal? Confirmation that you don't need one (actually try it), before updating the wiki. Condor85 07:01, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

First off, once you complete the Fremennik Province Diary elite task you can talk to Brundt the Chieftain to toggle the need for it; second, why are you asking this on the Astral altar teleport talk page, a page about an item from a reward of The Great Orb Project activity? Well, the tablet is what I am curious about. Before you always needed to be wearing a seal to use it, which seemed kind of odd since you could get to the island without a tablet and talk to the banker, and craft runes, and switch magic without the need of a seal of passage. I was just curious if this was updated as the reward is "Option to toggle the need for a seal of passage on Lunar Isle", and as I generally use my astral alter tablets while at the GE, perhaps this won't apply? Just wondering about the wording and would like confirmation. I could see this getting overlooked by Jagex. --Condor85 07:22, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
I would guess that it probably still is required. Jagex has a habit of forgetting these things. However I will check tomorrow. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 07:31, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
Facepalm. I am an idiot. I can't do the elite diary. I'll ask one of the higher levelled people. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 07:31, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm, where's Degen... Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 07:40, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks guys for looking at this. It's been something that has bugged me for years and I haven't got a mod to give me a straight answer, they are just like "Hm, well I'm not the one who designed that" or "Strange" Different developers with different intents can be a pain. --Condor85 19:40, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
I fucking KNEW' it! Jagex did forget to remove the seal of passage restriction from this item. I had one of my friends test it. Oh Jagex. You never fail to fail. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 05:18, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
If you want to get it fixed, file a good bug report (short, one-sentence description; steps to recreate; actual result; expected result). Complaining about something on the forums would be useless. Bug reports are seen by programmers. Forums are seen by customer service reps. --Saftzie (talk) 05:35, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure it is a bug. A bug is an unexpected outcome in software, and anyone familiar with Jagex expects this kind of outcome. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 06:02, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
You expect brokenness, so brokenness isn't a bug? Hmm.... Well, inconsistent results between two supposedly equivalent methods/functions within the software produce different results. I would still suggest a bug report. --Saftzie (talk) 06:52, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
