Does it have any current uses? dictature 16:57, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

I am going to vist lucien and see if he says anything about it... Mjc3 17:05, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Seems to me, it's just an in-game hint as to an upcoming quest.--Diberville 17:06, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
That's what I think too, but I'm going to check anywaysMjc3 17:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I just tried to talk to the Lucien near the GE. It just says that I have already completed the Temple of Ikov questm and does not let me talk with him.Mjc3 17:20, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Do only the people who DIDN'T side with Lucien get this? I've done Ikov and I sided with Lucien, and I've recieved no such letter. Mattrius 17:17, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

I believe that a Guardian of Armadyl gives you the letter and walks way when you log in. It looks more elfish than the warriors found in the Temple of Ikov. If anyone is able to get more information about this npc, perhaps it should be added in?Mjc3 17:22, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

The messenger doesn't look like a Guardian of Armadyl, and will refuse to speak to anyone other than the person he was told to deliver the message to. Sir Revan125 17:24, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
That was my point... the name of the npc is "guardian of armadyl" though

I know alot of my friends sided with the guardians but only a few of them recived the communiqué. The theory that only those with the correct levels got it sounds right to me. Mattrius 07:13, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

A few state-outs: Only people who sided with the Armadylian Guard have gotten this note. - It is randomly given, even if the person is F2p at the moment, at a random time(Just like Arianwyn) - It HAS to do with the 150th Quest, which is connected with Lucien(And the other Mahjarrat), and the Stone of Jas(+ Staff of Armadyl, etc.), and the North. If you still suspect it might be about Jack who goes Sailing, and finds a strange tablet to Dimension X(Random Example, noone ever said this), you're wrong, too many hints have been given. ArnoudX 17:28, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

I have also been checking with General Khazard, Darve, Movario, Lucien, and the Guardians of Armadyl. It was ONLY the letter that was made into an update. It was there, so it would not be awkward that Lucien has the staff during the 150th quest. I would also like to note out that even for the Adventurers that sided with Ceril during the Hazeel Cult quest, the tomb of Hazeel(His Grave) is now OPENED, meaning he has been resurrected, despite their own choice. ArnoudX 17:31, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

There's no way to know if this has to do specifically with the 150th quest since there have been only 146. With Jagex saying that 1 to 2 quests will be released depending on the number of weeks in a month, that means that the 150th quest will probably be released in January 2009. Heck, this might not even be a quest but a God Dungeon-like update as they said there would be once a month.--Diberville 17:45, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I was in f2p and got the letter, which is possible as stated above, but when I read the update on the RuneScape mainpage I saw this, "A distant rumble has recently been heard just north of Baxtorian Waterfall..." I'm thinking Diber was on the right track, it could be the 150th Quest OR the update that he mentioned. Billy Bomb7 22:16, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the note has to do with the big quest coming up. As for the "rumbling," I've heard that it probably has to do something with the Mithril door. And there seems to be a new room in the dungeon. Anyone mind checking it out? =p  Tien  00:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't mind checking it out, but you'll have to be a little more specific about where the new room in the dungeon is. For that matter, I assume you're talking about the Ancient Cavern? --nekobawt 00:33, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I didn't actually think someone would offer their time to check the place out. =p Yep, it's in the Ancient Cavern. If I'm correct, there should be a set of stairs, not sure exactly where, but it's either near the Mithril door on the 2nd level or it's on the first floor at the opposite end of the dungeon from where you enter. It leads to a room with three dragon heads made of metal and 10 anvils.  Tien  01:15, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I've heard some players claim that although they killed Lucien during the quest, they didn't receive the letter. One person thinks that ONLY PLAYERS THAT HAVE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MEGA-QUEST will receive the letter.  Tien  00:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Possibly... but hope not. Would be nice to have to raise my skills a bit before doing a quest for a change. --Gold ore.png Mercifull UK serv.svg (Talk) 09:17, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

I have not received this communique'. I am a member and have completed Temple of Ikov. I did not side with Lucien. I would think that it would happen regardless. I received the note for Regicide even though I do not have 56 agility? Hmmmmm... Saradomin sword.pngHammer2092Fighter torso.png 15:13, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Despite it probably being nonsense, has anyone with LESS than 226 questpoints received the Communiqué? Investigating has lead me to believe the requirement is 225 Questpoints(And the 1 Questpoint from Learning the Ropes)... Might be worth checking. ArnoudX 23:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

There's a thread on the official forums that deduced this. If it's allowed I'll post the Qfc to help validate this.Billy Bomb7 04:19, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
So it seems my investigations and the forum have concluded the same? Than, it's hardly impossible to deny the 226QP requirement:) ArnoudX 21:19, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Now all that's left is to find the skill requirements ^_^Billy Bomb7 01:35, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Yep, i just completed Roving Elves and got 226 qps, so i reckon thats right. Godlydrake 05:35, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Grand Master quest perhaps? Mojohaza1 22:13, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

That's a thing I am a hundred percent sure of:) ArnoudX 22:54, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

I second the fact that after 226 Quest Points the letter is received. Just finished a quest to get 226 and the next time I logged in I got the communique. Saradomin sword.pngHammer2092Fighter torso.png 17:12, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I third the 226 qp requirement for the letter; I got it while struggling through the Isafdar forest to start Mourning's End I, after I finished Eyes of Glouphrie, which brought my qp up to 226. MarkGyver 21:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Same here -- finishing My Arm's Big Adventure -- not an especially hard one, but one I'd put off, for whatever reason -- gave me 226. I got the communique shortly after. Arianna1111 8 April 2009.
