Obstacles[edit source]
Would be nice if someone can figure out a button to flip the obstacle table upside down (including possibly unique pictures of obstacles). Also is it 20 xp/obstacle regardless of level? getting 20 xp at lvl 99 Mejrs (talk) 12:12, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- 20xp at lvl 54 here, so it looks like it. Gull Hughny (talk) 12:23, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- I've got no modifiers on and I've been getting 500 + 20 (from the obstacle itself) both at level 53 and 54, 1000+40 with bonus XP but that's to be expected. (also, I'm thinking maybe we should split up the big table into the sections of the course, I've uploaded a map to show it better) Gull Hughny (talk) 13:07, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- wait, are you talking about a bonus for finishing the entire loop round the island? i'm talking about the finisher for each section. if each section gave you 16k that would be over one and a half million XP per hour if you were to just do section G over and over again Gull Hughny (talk) 13:19, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- I've not encountered any codex pages after completing a section, only the 1-3 at random. The 16020xp award is probably going to just be 16000 + the 20 for the obstacle itself. Thanks for splitting the table. Gull Hughny (talk) 13:52, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Anachronic XP[edit source]
I don't know what to make of this, but I have made 132,000 (132K) XP in one day. As far as I can remember, I know I have completed the course once, with Full Nimble and 3Wise, and maybe done some sections today. Crazy XP. THAT 1 CH00B (talk) 18:04, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
P.S. Found two different totem pieces, may alter the XP? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by THAT 1 CH00B (talk) on 18:06, 9 July 2019 (UTC).
Codex Pages[edit source]
I received 10 codex pages yesterday while completing a regular obstacle. It was not a complete lap, but it may have been a completed section. Has anyone else seen this and should it be added to the drop chart? Suaraun (talk) 04:54, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
Section Bonuses Nerfed[edit source]
New section bonuses (not including the 20xp from the obstacle)
A/G (L30): 150xp B/F (L50): 400xp
Can someone with more than L85 agility check the bonuses for the other sections please? 2A02:C7F:A00E:B700:9041:DF96:9DAF:1 12:38, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Totem drop rates[edit source]
As per https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/cmuchk/tldw_445_august_month_ahead_qa and https://www.twitch.tv/videos/463378083, totem drop rates are 1/100, I'm not sure why someone edited it to 1/1k but I'm leaving this topic on the talk page for future reference.

Low Level Experience[edit source]
As a low level between 30 to 49 agility, running the first 8 obstacles then coming back takes ~ 2 minutes 23 seconds without any movement enhancement. I ran multiple back-and-forth laps to get an average. I found the rate is ~15,500xp/hr. Perhaps we should add brackets for the different agility levels under max? Thanks Larka (talk) 06:23, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Individual sections times or exp rates, without Surge/BD. I found A (level 30 south) takes 73 seconds for 3.7 exp/second or 13,300 exp/hr. G (level 30 north) takes ~35 seconds per lap, which works out to ~7.9 exp/sec, or 28,600 exp/hr. G is the clear and obvious winner pre-49, and surge won't even improve it, making it require less attention.
F (level 50 north) takes ~66 seconds per lap or 8.5 exp per second, or 30,600 exp/hr. B (level 50 south) takes ~54 going east and ~62 going west, or ~58 average for 8.96 exp/sec or 32,300/hr, assuming you don't get stepped on. (not sure if it's animations, pathing, or a combination) Both have two clean runs for a double surge (or just a single surge without the codex), and a perfect surge saves 2.4 seconds (4 ticks) of running, so ~5 seconds if you get both. You can only get off one clean surge without the codex on both sections, only bringing the time down to ~55.6 average, or 33,600 exp/hr assuming no dino for B, or ~63 sec average on F, or 32,000 exp/hr. With codex, you can easily get 2 surges per lap, breaking 35,000 exp/hr for B or 33,000 for F. These two are the closest, with less than 10% difference, but B is still the winner.
E (level 70 north) takes 60 seconds average per lap (going west is shorter again, not sure why) without surging, 56s surging twice, or 53s if double surging 1.5 times per lap (the two marked on the map, plus from the diagonal from the cliff by the spine to the ruined wall. This works out to 51,600 exp/hr surgeless, 55k/hr single surging, or 59k/hr double surging. C (level 70 south) takes ~73 seconds average per lap without surging (this time, going east is shorter, but only by 5 ticks or so) or 42,400 exp/hr. With 4 places to surge per lap for a double (not sure how many pre-codex), that can be cut down to 63 seconds, which is still worse than the slowest E lap, and you also risk getting stepped on. E has the clear advantage, unless you enjoy the scenery more or want a change of pace.
Not testing D because there's no way it can beat running full laps.

Double Surge and Bladed Dive | Nimble outfit minus the boots, wise/mobile on mainhand, Manifested knowledge set and use Chronicle Absorption, laceration boots for bladed dive | 236,650 | 257,562 |
Going to get some more accurate average lap times for the different abilities to give better xp/hour estimates. Probably worth rounding down to the nearest 1k xp? Worth putting them all on the main page or just a selection?
Hoppingmad9 (talk) 15:58, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Should probably workout the manifested knowledge rates without chronicle absorption. Will affect the higher rates more as you're more likely to have surged/bladed dived away from it. Hoppingmad9 (talk) 16:06, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
