finishing[edit source]

Yes I know it's not done yet. I've never really played gnomeball or skullball so I really don't know about them in detail. I guess I could fill in a few details about werewolf but agility still is a stub until info is complete. It's probably the least well covered skill on the wiki right now. --Eucarya 23:07, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Oh, and I hate agility by the way, LOL --Eucarya 23:08, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

I love agility, so maybe I'll add this article to my (currently empty) list of articles to watch. Oddlyoko 01:11, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
I think this article is pretty good. Except for the redlinks in the Quests part, this article is fairly good-in my opinion, good enough to be a Featured Article. Of course, that's just me But I think I'll nominate it anyway...(and by the way, I can't figure out the size of the Agility is at or over 32KB?) 7kyt1iT.gif --WINE OF GOOD HEALTH (Actually Stinko)14:28, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Wilderness vs. Penguin[edit source]

It is not advised to train here if you can use the Penguin Agility Course. (-Wilderness Agility Course subheading in main article) -- Why not? The Wilderness is much faster experience than 12,000 per hour. Penguin mask.pngChewy (Talk) 01:24, 11 March 2009 (UTC) Zeedanger (talk) 19:15, June 19, 2017 (UTC)

Separating[edit source]

This article is far to long. It needs to be separated; for a start, each different course can have ts own article. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 19:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I removed the details of the Brimhaven course as there's already a very comprehensive and detailed article on it. I tried to ensure that the details removed were already included in the main page, but others may want to look at the history of this section and port anything I didn't see. Presumably the user who added this section hadn't looked to see if an article existed already (pity, a lot of work was clearly spent here). Endasil 03:46, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Somebody stop me! Barbarian outpost is gone now too, moved to Barbarian Outpost. Endasil 05:03, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Sweet! Thanks, normally no-one actually does things about these comments. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 08:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
I have since moved the aforementioned Barbarian Outpost section to its own page, Barbarian Outpost Agility Course -- F-Lambda (talk) 02:53, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
Updates - I moved the Yanille Dungeon pipe squeeze to lvl 49 from lvl 29, as I just hit level 49 last night and got the message. I also replaced all occurrances of Agility Dungeon with the proper link, not a redirect, to Yanille Agility dungeon, which I hope quickly identifies to visitors which Agility Dungeon is meant. I mean, is Brimhaven considered a dungeon AND a course? Anyway, not my page, touch it up as you see fit! Steelhorse66 16:44, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Split?[edit source]

I think we should truncate the different courses from the main article and give each of them their own, under the category of Agility. Book Em Dano 04:32, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Needs Training tips[edit source]

This is a pretty good article, but along with the great info, it would be useful to have a level-to-level training guide. I could put some ideas down, but my experience with Agility is relatively low, and I haven't gone to most of the courses out there. Any thoughts? Cooking TIRRIANGANT (TALK) 18:05, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

/me has 90 agility.
I liked Barbarian Outpost until 52 , Wilderness until 75, Ape Atoll until 90(+), Dorgesh Kaan is a option at 90.At 75 agility you can't fail on the ape atoll course. Blazel 20:59, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I also think we should have a level-to-level guide, especially after the recent hi-level changes to dorgesh-khan, gnome stronghold, and barbarian outpost courses. I stopped failing Dorgesh khan right around level 84, which makes it a faster option than Ape Atoll. I am failing the gnome stronghold at level 85 fairly often (40-50%?) but still getting a decent amount of exp per hour. I'm curious to know what we stop failing the higher level courses at. (Marty22sam) 01:12, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I personally liked doing barbarian outpost until 50, ape atoll until 85, Adv Gnome until 91, and im currently at 95 agility doing adv barbarian.Lutcikaur 23:57, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

Penguin Agility Course[edit source]

The total xp per lap is wrong. It's 540 xp, not 196 xp. I calculated it myself.

Verified, Changed Blazel 20:53, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Tables[edit source]

I neatened up the images in the article by making them thumbnails however, in the tables for the wilderness course and Dorgesh-Kaan course obstacles, when I attempted to centre the images, the table borders were moved out of place. If anyone can tell me why this has happened please do, and/or correct the tables in the article. Dechaineux 14:47, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Grand Tree Shortcut[edit source]

Is the Grand Tree quest required to use this shortcut? Because I tried to use it before, and I got a message that the ground wasn't strong enough to climb. After the quest, I didn't have a problem. 23:25, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

May this of been because you didn't have the required agility level?im not sure, ive done both grand tree and tree gnome village and still cant use... was thinking maybe you need to wear climbing boots? Blazel 20:48, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

werewolf course[edit source]

erm only skullball is listed? the course itself isn't listed, theres a minigame there for agility (skullball) and a separate agility course too which gives 540 exp a run, I dont think its posible to get damaged or fail either. Green partyhat.png Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333)  talk Green partyhat.png 13:41, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

The details of the Werewolf course is further up on the page, here. And it's possible to take significant damage when falling from the death slide. I tried it once until I ran out of fish in my inventory, then decided to stick with the ape atoll course after that. Amaurice talk 13:57, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Boosts[edit source]

Is it possible to stack the effects of the boosts. For example can I combine a spicy stew and summer pie to get a plus 11 bonus or a spicy stew and agility pot for a plus 9?--Rs4life07 01:12, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

No, the vast majority of boosts are unstackable. The only way I know of boosts stackin is a regular boost (such as a spicy stew) with an invisible, non-Summoning familiar boost (such as a crystal saw). E.T. Prod U(Talk) 13:40, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

At what levels do we stop failing certain courses?[edit source]

The title's self-explanatory, but would anyone be able to find out this information? E.T. Prod U(Talk) 13:33, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Gnome course timing?[edit source]

I can do this walking in under a minute. 60 laps an hour at 86.5 per lap is 5190 per hour - where does the figure of 1730/hour come from? Running would shave a few more secs off the time.

I've changed this to "over 5000" does someone want to verify?

Dorgesh-Kaan[edit source]

Should we make an article about the dorgesh-kaan, with xp tables, animations (can make them) and other information? That information could be much more then this is right now. If we put every little detail here, it would be to big..

Buzz (Talk#P ) 11:58, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm surprised there isn't an article already. I would say yes, go ahead and make it. Piety.pngAquilaePiety.png 12:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Much to my surprise, mith grapples can wear out and break. Perhaps worth mentioning here as a consideration? (the article on grapples does mention it) 06:15, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Agility on f2p?[edit source]

Does agility have an effect on your run energy on f2p worlds? Perhaps we should make a small note of that in the article, because I've always been confused about that. Rowanq25 02:44, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes, even after membership. tobylaneTalk 11:48, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

No - not after the (June 2009?) "rest" update. It used to affect f2p worlds before this date, but there was an announcement on the main runescape page stating this was no longer true. (Marty22sam) 01:12, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Revised Agility Shortcut XP[edit source]

Changed the XP column on Agility Shortcuts. I found that, when climbing the crumbling wall on the east of Falador, you gain 0.5 XP for each action. As well, you gain no experience whatsoever from using the Climb-Into Hole/Climb-under Wall options at the agility shortcut near the watchtower (North of Yanille hops patch). --Canifis 02:02, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Expanded/ Revised Agility Shortcut Guide[edit source]

As I advance in levels (19 now), I've been seeing what shortcuts give XP and which ones don't. Added two new shortcuts from Yanille, including the "Climb Rocks" option and the "Climb Trellis" options near the Watchtower. I also made a few minor changes to the table (i.e. no capitalization, lack of periods). --Canifis 02:02, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Expanded[edit source]

Just needed to note that the climbing rocks worked at level 18 Agility. If anyone else tries them with a lower Agility level, please post here so that we can figure out what the requisite level is. (I'm thinking both the trellis and the climbing rocks require level 18, but I could easily be wrong.) --Canifis 02:03, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Funny thought[edit source]

I know this probably isn't appropriate, but watching that picture of the guy running at the top of the page reminded me of the Flinstone's and Scooby-Do. They could run a mile in a single room and keep passing the same point over and over and over.. Runecrafting VadaneaCrafting 04:00, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Money making[edit source]

It should ignore running longer, but use things like shortcuts. At 70 agility, you can get blue dragon scales far easier. tobylaneTalk 11:49, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Added category[edit source]

Are blue dragon scales really worth much? I mean, their only use is potion-making, right? --Canifis 02:03, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Toy Mouse?[edit source]

At the end of the "Training for skill pures" section, it says "Some players used to bring along a toy mouse, nowadays you can't released a toy mouse any more."

Why would a player bring a Toy mouse and what relevance does this have at all? For example, some players like to bring along their pet cats when the catch fish, but the Fishing article doesn't make any mention of that. Yes, they might give 3 xp for catching them, but at an agility course, most (if not all) obstacles give even more xp! 07:41, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Toy mice[edit source]

Yes, that should be taken out. The mouse is really useless... you'd be better off just hopping stiles, which give the same xp and don't make you have a chance of losing an item. And yes, there is absolutely no need to bring a toy mouse along for agility training. --Canifis 17:38, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Werewolf xp per hour 50k is crazy![edit source]

Do the maths, (3600 *540/50000=39 ish) 50k per hour requires a 39 second lap, which sounds crazy! Surely noone's character can even run round that fast. Zybez have it at 35k/hr

A 39-second lap is possible, just because you can't do it doesn't mean squat. 45 seconds should be doable for just about any noob, as well as 40-second laps at Adv. Barb and Gnome. The previous shown lap times were terrible and even the new ones I updated them too are still very low imo. But since you guys like to have more "realistic average times", I've had to lower my standards. 00:11, January 28, 2011 (UTC)Jebrim

Agility with Fishing and Hunter[edit source]

When you fail an obstacle...[edit source] you have to redo the exact obstacle to get the course bonus, or could you do an obstacle before it?

Like when you fail the Log balance on the Wilderness course. You get taken back to the stepping stones. Do you have to skip the stones and go to the Log balance to get the bonus, or could you do the stones again and still get the bonus?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[Special:Contributions/{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] ([[:User talk:{{{1}}}|talk]]).

If you fail an obstacle, you should skip that obstacle for the bonus. in the wilderness course, that is impossible, so if you fail an obstacle, you've missed out on the bonus. But on some courses, if you fail the obstacle, you get past it anyway, but you get dealt damage, but you still recieve the bonus. . Tawk Mo ManFile:Agility cape (t).png Sign 13:48, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I just double-checked this. If you fail an obstacle, go straight to the obstacle you failed on and skip the others before it to avoid losing the bonus. . Tawk Mo ManFile:Agility cape (t).png Sign 10:30, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Barbarian Easy Course[edit source]

Does anyone know when one will stop failing the easy course at the Barbarian Outpost? Seems like that could be good information to have, and for all of the courses, not just the Barbarian Outpost. NathanW197 00:37, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Bestiary?[edit source]

It seems like this page is categorized under the bestiary. However, when editing, I can't seem to be able to remove this from the bestiary catagory. Anyone with more experience know how to do it? Thanks. Elanthiel 18:19, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know what is wrong either. Areas?[edit source]

Why have Agility areas been put in with the Shortcuts? Surely, a shortcut is by definition a quicker way to get somewhere (that implies there is another way.) An Agility area, however, can only be reached via Agility, and is usually a dead end. Putting Agility areas in with shortcuts is like calling Resource dungeons shortcuts. Zigzagzigal 11:29, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Required for Storage?[edit source]

What does this mean in the Grapple Shortcuts section? Mu695 16:30, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

It means the resources required to construct the "hidey hole". If you can define it better, please do so. Sundays211 21:15, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Stiles give no xp[edit source]

This article claims that climbing stiles give 3xp. The stile to the cow pen near the Falador cabbage patch yields no xp. I'm not sure if any other stiles give xp. IntrepidX 08:27, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

History of Agility?

So I know that Agility came out in 2002, and that there was the gnome stronghold with it obviously. I also found out where the advanced courses and the werewolf/wildy courses came out. What I don't know though are about the others:

-barbarian outpost course date release?

-more information from the news release

[quote]You can try on the two agility courses, or the agility dungeon" [/quote]

1. I know one of them is the gnome

Is brimhaven the agility dungeon? We need a complete list of the course dates

Nimble outfit[edit source]

There is no mention of Nimble outfit. I would like to add some information but am not very good at editing and also do not have much time.

In brief if someone could add, i have a brief description: NImble outfit like most other skill outfits consist of 5 pieces. Each piece gives 1% bxp when worn while gaining agility xp and the complete set gives an additional 1% making a total of 6%. It used to be made using lightweight feathers won from Treasure Hunter. These have been discontinued. The set pieces are now available as a random reward from Treasure Hunter, or by trading with Vic/Ric. Zeedanger (talk) 19:21, June 19, 2017 (UTC)
