This talk page is for discussing the Adamant platebody page.

Does anyone know when the alching price for adamant platebodies was raised to its current value of 9984 coins? I thought the alching price was much less a couple years ago. Or has it actually always been 9984?

I'm actually not really sure. And really, is the Alch price for Adamant Platebodies 9984 coins? Ocenar 01:25, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Exp per hour[edit source]

An adamant platebody smithed with a sacred clay hammer yields 625 XP, which is 5 times 62.5 XP, twice. To get 900,000 XP per hour, one would need to make 1440 platebodies per hour, or 24 per minute. This is feasible if someone is paying attention and banking in the shortest time possible.

Wait... 24 per minute? One platebody is 3 ticks, or 1.8 seconds, to make; that fits 33 platebodies, assuming no banking time at all. At the Varrock anvil, you need to bank and return for at least 8 seconds per 5 platebodies. That makes 17 seconds for 5 platebodies, so 81.6 seconds per 24 platebodies. Maybe it should be a bit lower, then. But more than 250k is feasible.  a proofreader ▸  07:31, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
Using the figure of 2.4 seconds: That fits 25 platebodies, assuming no banking time at all. At the Varrock anvil, you need to bank and return for at least 8 seconds per 5 platebodies. That makes 20 seconds for 5 platebodies, so 96 seconds per 24 platebodies. Even lower. And players do need to bank, so maybe just mention this as a theoretical limit, with a practical limit at around 575000 XP/h.  a proofreader ▸  07:35, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
I remember some players training with a pack yak to reduce banking time. That would give 11 platebodies per trip, and maybe add around 4 seconds to banking time (haven't tried it so not sure exactly), so 778000 xp/hr. Stewbasic (talk) 14:41, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
