bugs[edit source]

first when webbing things sometimes they dissapear and repear webbed, this is a sign of poor programming skills within jagex....

Second the bath still apears as a yellow NPC dot on the map even after the spider is gone.

Warlock set[edit source]

"Warlock set if you didn't obtain it the previous year." - Is it really true? I didn't do last years Halloween event, and I had no option to claim the set. Tokkul detail.png Inhaps talk 21:11, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

I DIDN'T GET A SET AND I DIDN'T DO IT LAST YEAR I WANT ONE!  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.176.18.40 (talk) on 21:27, October 26, 2009.

Good for you. --Iiii I I I 21:31, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Same here. It looks awesome, and I've had no option. I'd say it's false information.CS1Energypyre 09:51, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

To answer my own question - It appears that this glitch has happened before, but the holiday items were quickly removed from undeserving players. Tokkul detail.png Inhaps talk 22:50, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Quest List Glitch[edit source]

This glitch that makes the quests disappear has happened to me multiple times during the last 3 weeks, so I don't think it has anything to do with the Halloween Event update. To fix it, just click the filter button or reverse button 2 times and it will go back to how it should be.

I was realllyyyy hoping for a new emote!

Please sign your name after you post.
Anyways, there's sorta an emote when you play with Eek.--Canifis 22:08, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah the "Play With" Option with Eek could count as an emote, and I think having the spider is a great idea, that as well as a cape, and the quest was pretty fun, overall I'm impressed with this years event, and I think Jagex did good. Natonstan 22:10, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I just hope there'll be some more stuff with Eek. --Canifis 22:14, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

1st floor weirdness[edit source]

Just writing this for the benefit of society:

  • If you have just gotten to the center of the web and you click on a node opposite from you, you will pause at the ladder. If you click again on that node, you will walk through the ladder and fall through the floor of the center web.
  • There are two nodes that can be walked to from the center, but not walked back across. There is only one which you can walk both ways on. For me, at least, the ones which were one-way were consecutively counter-clockwise to the one that went both ways.
  • For me, at least, it seems that you cannot access the outer ring of the web (except the starting point). I also cannot access any of the half of the web opposite the first turn I took (the east side and a bit of the border is the only area I can get to).
  • The intersections that you have to click on are called "nodes." ("That web strand seems to be unstable. You will have to find a different route.")--Canifis 22:57, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism[edit source]

"The queen will instruct your mom to get laid." ...Yeah, I think I'm going to remove this obvious joke from the article. --Xanadu1987 00:21, October 27, 2009 (UTC) EDIT: Never mind, someone already took care of it.

ChatHead[edit source]

Some new players could misunderstand about the term "chathead", so I suggest replace the jpg image for a gif image, showing as well the expression. (190.12.94.54 01:06, October 27, 2009 (UTC))

Why? The still image is just fine, we don't need a gif. — Enigma 01:09, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Personally, I'm wondering if this is really that notable enough to warrant a mention in this article to begin with. This isn't the first time a new chat-head animation has been released since the graphics overhaul about a year ago, and I don't think any other new chat-head animation releases are mentioned in the wiki. Not that I'm against mentioning it altogether, it just seems kind of a random thing to add to this article. Dark cavalier.png Regabuh (talk) (contribs) 01:49, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Actually, when releases with new animations come out they are often mentioned in the trivia for that update. I think a .gif would be better though (as this might be the only chance we get to record it).--Canifis 23:42, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Don't forget[edit source]

To take many pictures in HD with AA on high (if it wont be transparent). Because this may be your only chance.

Maps[edit source]

I've been working on a map of the first maze; are we going to get the second maze, too?--Canifis 03:55, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Length[edit source]

Um...is it really short? I need to make it to the ladder in the middle of a giant web and after that, web 64 furniture.:S Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 04:52, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

It's really short; you just have to do some agility-type stuff and web a bunch of furniture.--Canifis 23:42, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
I don't see why people want to change the length to medium and a higher difficulty. Unless there is valid reasoning as to why this is thought, it should stay at a short length, and 1 difficulty. Blue Turtle Dove 00:15, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
The first floor needs trial and error and can take a long time and webbing 64 furniture can take a while. There are lots of rooms and you might have trouble finding what to web. Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 03:40, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Removed some trivia[edit source]

*It has been said that once you have finished the event you can go back to Diango and you will have Warlock and Santa costume pieces when you try to regain holiday items, you can also keep getting them.

We've already figured out this is false. Removed from article.CS1Energypyre 09:57, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

I Think They Should let Eek, to have a attack option like kill somthing, or have a talk with other spiders option or somthing els...

and mabby beable to decorate your house with spiderwebs with Eek

or make BIG webs

Extra Rewards?[edit source]

Ive just found this on the runescape.com guide to the event. Does this hint towards further rewards?

Rewards

With the house completed and looking suitably spooky, a trip to the Spider Queen will end the matter. There are rewards in it for the more mercenary Hallowe'enites, of course.

I don't know of any other rewards. Also, sign your comments after your post with four ~s. Cabbage detail.png Dockywho Talk Cabbage detail.png 12:44, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

No, it hints that there are rewards for the event... Tokkul detail.png Inhaps talk 14:33, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

I also thought of that, but I agree with Inhaps: it probably means that there are rewards other than meeting the Queen. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 22:37, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
