Sy'ris

Sy'ris was a lesser demon and one of the last two surviving members of the Order of Dis, along with Francis Dashwood.[1] He was assigned to help maintain the Star Lodge, which served as a front for the Source. In particular, his duties included such tasks as feeding the cats, taking the rubbish out, and mopping up blood.[2]

Sy'ris was also responsible for travelling through the mystic circle found in the Dungeon of Disorder and maintaining communication with the demons found there, especially towards the end.[3]

In his diary, Francis Dashwood identifies Sy'ris as "the lowest ranked lesser demon you'd ever find",[4] and a practical joker.[5][6] But despite his mischevious nature, Sy'ris was not vindictive,[7] nor did he have a cruel nature.[8] This may explain his very menial assignment.[9]

It is not known what happened to Sy'ris after the Star Lodge finally ceased operations for good, nor whether or not he might still be alive after all these years.
