Super antifire potions can be made by players with level 85 Herblore by mixing a 3 dose antifire potion with a phoenix feather. Making this potion grants the player 210 Herblore experience. Each dose of super antifire lasts for 6 minutes.

The potion renders the player completely immune to dragonfire, with the following exceptions:

  • The King Black Dragon's shock, ice, and poison breath deal around 400 damage through super antifire, although his standard breath is completely nullified
  • The Queen Black Dragon's dragonfire and extreme dragonfire deal around 750 and up to 1950 damage, respectively
  • Rune dragons' enhanced dragonbreath during their second phase, which deals 450 damage through super antifire
  • Wyverns' and Skeletal Wyverns' ice breath

The regular antifire potion requires a wielded dragonfire shield or an anti-dragon shield to provide complete immunity.

This potion is not tradeable and players cannot use the Assist System to make it; therefore, players must have level 85 Herblore in order to make it, unless using boosts. Temporary boosts from advanced pulse cores can raise Herblore by 7, making it possible to create super antifires from as low as level 78 Herblore. The greenman's ale and greenman's ale (m) always boost Herblore by 1 and 2 levels respectively. A third option is to use the god banner boost, which provides a +2 boost to a selected skill for 30 minutes once a day. A fourth option is to use a spicy stew boost, although a +5 boost can be hard to get.

Phoenix feathers are untradeable and must be gathered by the player themselves by stealing from the Desert Phoenix. The fastest method is to wear the Ardougne cloak 3 and use Magic notepaper to gather feathers without banking. Bringing an inventory full of Signs of the porter will also eliminate the need to bank. Other methods to collect feathers would be to use the imp-in-a-box method, in conjunction with a broomstick, and running through Shantay Pass, or to use the Eagle transport system. Players with level 99 Thieving may also use the Thieving cape perk to gather noted feathers.

The best way to maximise super antifire production is to make them in Shantay Pass on a populated world at portable wells while wearing the desert amulet 4, which gives the player a 20% chance for each super antifire made that it will be 4 doses instead of 3.

At level 90 Herblore, a super antifire can be combined with a clean arbuck to create an extended super antifire, which has the same effects as a normal super antifire, except the effect has double the duration at 12 minutes.
