The Sunfury Armour (Tier 2) is a set of cosmetic overrides unlocked with solar flares collected from Treasure Hunter or by training Divination during 29 September to 3 October 2016. It requires Sunfury Armour (Tier 1) and 35,000 Sanctification points earned from training Prayer or using gems of aspiration.

The Sunfury Armour can be easily upgraded by using the Bone crusher to automatically bury bones. Unlike training the Lunarfury Armour and gathering skilling outfit fragments, there is no 5 minute delay after login to train the Sunfury Armour. It is possible to world hop after a kill to quickly upgrade to the Sunfury Armour (Tier 2). Using this method, the maximum of 35,000 can be trained in under 5 hours.

The pack consists of:

  • Sunfury Helm (Tier 2), created with 8,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Chest (Tier 2), created with 10,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Legs (Tier 2), created with 8,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Gauntlets (Tier 2), created with 4,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Boots (Tier 2), created with 4,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Shield (Tier 2), created with 10,000 solar flares (tier 1)
  • Sunfury Cape (Tier 2), created with 10,000 solar flares (tier 1)

Gems of aspiration are worth 500 Sanctification points each, and are only available for the duration of the Sunfury armour promo and the two weeks immediately following it. After this time, players can continue to earn points through Prayer training, at a rate of 50 points every five minutes. The entire armour set is upgraded at once, even if only one of the pieces was activated. If a player upgrades their Sunfury armour solely through Prayer training, it will take 58 hours and 20 minutes of continuous training in total. However, only one Prayer action is required per 5 minutes, making this task much easier.

    • Players with the physical items of the outfit have had them removed and unlocked in the wardrobe.
  • coldfix 23 January 2018 (Update):
    • Further measures were put in place to ensure that Sunfury tier two unlocks correctly for players who have 35,000 sanctification points when gaining prayer XP.
  • hotfix 16 January 2018 (Update):
    • Tier two of Sunfury now unlocks correctly after fully upgrading. If it is still Tier one with 35,000/35,000 sanctification points, it is possible to upgrade by gaining Prayer XP while having the Sunfury outfit activated.
